5 x 50 - Maduro - Box of 24
Wrapped in a Nicaraguan maduro leaf, Atom is the only ACID cigar where the depth and fullness of the tobacco flavors completely overwhelm the essential oils and herbs in which it's cured. A must-smoke for the cigar smoker who digs a mighty, mellow maduro with rich tobacco taste.
I could not get a consistent burn out of this cigar, and it was a chore to keep it lit. The burn was not very sharp, and I found myself having to do double, even triple puffs to keep it lit. Flavorwise, it was nothing special. I didn t get any unique flavors out of this, just your standard tobacco flavor. Of the Acid s I ve tried, it is not my favorite.
After reading reviews on here, I decided to pick one of these up. Most of my recent smoking experience is with macanudo cafes and I really like them, but wanted to branch out. Prelight, this cigar smelled great, but the pleasure ended as soon as I touched it to my lips and was over taken by what tasted like saccharin or some other artificial sweeteners. I smoked it anyway because of the money I dropped. The smoke flavor was good and construction very good, but the artificial sweetener taste on my lips and tongue persisted throughout.I don t believe I will be buying another acid cigar for this reason.
My first Acid cigar was an Atom, and for my money, it's the best of the bunch. Additives are noticeable, but kept to a minimum. Almost immediately after lighting, there are rich flavors of leather, dark cherry and pepper. Hey, if you don't like flavored cigars, you probably won't like this one either. But it's a nice alternative to Acid's other overly-flavored cigars.
