"Definitely sweet at first..."
These cigars are most definitely sweet at first! If you're not ready for it, it can certainly throw you a bit. However, give these gems a few minutes to mellow and you will find one of the most memorable silky smooth cigars you'll ever enjoy! These sticks will deliver a warm fruit and nuttiness to your mouth with every draw. They burn nice and even and beg you to pick them up over and over. You gotta make sure to keep a few of these in your humidor so when you're looking for that sweeter, smoother taste you'll be able to get your fix!

When you put the cigar in your mouth it is overwhelmingly sweet. Draw was tight, smoke was overpowered by horrible sweet taste of cigar. First and last time for this cigar for me.

"Nauseatingly sweet, uneven burn"
I was expecting great things after reading all the positive reviews of this cigar, but I was extremely disappointed.
When I opened the box, the construction of the cigars seemed flawless. They are beautifully wrapped and the cigar has a sleeve, contemporary style that certainly catches the eye. One of my ten Kuba Kubas had a slightly uneven consistency, but the rest had the uniform firmness that you would expect of the finest cigar. Unfortunately, the experience of actually smoking them was awful.
I have had a better burn on 50 cent cigars. I smoked two Kuba Kubas today and both of them had an incredibly uneven burn. One half of the cigar was ash while the other remained untouched, even after relighting several times. Both cigars went completely out with 2.5-3 inches still left, but by that time, it was hot, biting, and extremely unpleasant, so I didn't continue.
Now, I realize that the taste of cigars is completely subjective and that everybody will have their own opinions of a bold flavoring choice like this, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to taste like a popsicle when I put it to my lips. Being a pipe smoker who is particularly fond of aromatics, I was fully expecting some of the sweetness and flavoring that I had read about, but this cigar is way over the top. If you closed your eyes and licked the cigar, you would swear you were holding some kind of lollipop. I didn't care for the flavor of the smoke either. I don't have any specific complaints in that area because it was not by any means bad tasting; it just doesn't appeal to me. It was smooth and a bit bolder than I had expected, and if it hadn't been for the truly dreadful burn, I would urge anybody to try the cigar for themselves to see if the flavor suited them.
I definitely will not be buying any more Kuba Kubas. It was not by any means a pleasant experience, and I am glad that it wasn't my first cigar, which may have put me off smoking for life. Other people seem to have great things to say about the construction and burn of their cigars, so it may be that I just got unlucky with my batch, but for that price, I'm not going to take the chance again. On one more positive note, it did seem to have a much higher nicotine content than your average cigar, which I did like about it.

Are you freakin kidding me? One of THE BEST Cigars on the market. Great taste and great smell. One the boss, I mean wife, can tolerate

This cigar is dreadful. It does NOT have an aromatic smell and / or taste. Bitter in any way possible. Smells very bad and this cigar that I had was in a humidor at the correct humidity too. I don't understand the high ratings for this cigar . Acid should discontinue this kuba kuba line but that's my opinion.
On a positive note it does have a good draw and good burn

"Excellent %26 Aromatic!!"
I had one of these with my son-in-law at the 50th Anniversary of Breckenridge's ULLRfest... a GREAT way to celebrate the occasion, smoking one of the best tasting cigars by the bonfire!!.. This is a VERY tasty cigar, with hints of citrus and lavender... the women won't mind being around you when you smoke this one!! The draw is easy, and the burn is fairly slow... The label is very creative, and the overall appearance of this cigar is excellent... both of our cigars were tightly wrapped, and I got a three inch ash before it fell off...

"Smell it before you smoke it."
It smelled unlike any other cigar I've had, but not to my liking, and tasted much like it smelled. It was the loosest wrapped cigar I have ever had and therefore burned terribly unevenly. Would never get again.
