"This is an excellent smoke with great taste"
This cigar has great taste and an excellent draw. The construction is good and pleasing to the eye. However, I found that the burn was somewhat uneven and the ash not quite up to par with other fine cigars of the same price. Still well worth trying and I will buy it again after I finish the box of toros I bought.

"Good solid smoke"
Good flavor and depth, great everything else. This is a solid performer that I'll share with friends and occasionally smoke myself. I prefer the Maxx's and Tempus. I think I paid about $2, making them a very good budget smoke. I think people who like medium bodied smokes would appreciate these more than I do.

"Good solid smoke... worth the price!"
Tried a 5 pack and was impressed. Like the flavour and the draw. Couple relights, but not a big deal. Good price on these... on sale.

"Overture corona gorda"
I take joy in sampling the vast selection of cigars available on the market today. That is, between my regular favorites! How else are you going to find new favorites, right? Boat loads of hype and hooks to entice you in. Mostly pretentious crap. Peer reviews generally say little to your own experience, but they are fun to read. I can?t help but wonder how many of the reviewers actually let the smoke pass through the nostrils where all of those ?nuances? are experienced. The complexity of aromas, the smoothness or sharpness, or outright acrid harshness that the tongue alone cannot come close to sensing. Which brings me to the Overture corona gorda. I have very little desire to review cigars in general, because preference is totally subjective, especially in today?s polarized world. That said, I feel quite contrarily compelled to express not so much a review as gratitude for such a delectably complex, smooth as silk, just plain scrumptulicios example of the cigar makers art! It represents the epitome of what an excellent cigar should be! In my opinion. Thank you Mr. Ruben and Company!
Beyond Sincerely,
Doug V.

"aging improved this one"
Had one when I just got them in the first week and it was so-so. Now about 1.5 months later I had one again, and it was actually very nice. I smoked this in 48F weather outside under a heatlamp. It may have been a tad moist in my humidor (71 - 72), but still had a good draw. Only started canoeing after an inch and then after half into it it was ok. Tasted some sweet flavors and some spicyness but overall not bad. From time to time I could tell it was AB quality. Sometimes puffing too much would make it really harsh, but overall I enjoyed it.
I would compare it to the SCR. I mostly like to smoke sweet cigars like RP, but this one was good as well. I am glad I bought them but I would probably not buy it again when I am through with my 5-pack, bc I like other cigars better.
Read the reviews but if you don't buy it bc of the reviews you may miss out on siomething you like. I always like to try for myself, so don't take my word for it, try it for yourself, because you'll be glad you did.

"Hope the other four are better"
Won a five pack at the FS auction. From the start the burn was "canoe city". Throughout the smoke "if you could call it that" I made several attempts to fix what I thougt was a great brand until now, Stick to the Tempus Terra Nova. A less expensive stick and better smoke. I'll follow up after I let the remaining four rest in the humi for a while.

"Solid slow burn that devolps flavor in 2nd half"
Nice construction, solid feel with a rustic reddish wrapper. Burns slow with a good draw producing ample smoke volume. Flavor during first half is flat but builds to a nice complex of woody, sweet spice and pepper notes in the 2nd half. Medium body without any harshness on the finish. A good everyday smoke with ample personality to keep you interested.
