How to Save Money on Cigars

Between the economy, price increases and the constant threat of cigar taxes, who DOESN'T want to save money on their cigar purchases? Here's a guide for keeping your humidor stocked and your wallet fat.

1. House Brands

In addition to their nationally branded lines, cigar manufacturers like Pepin, CAO, Rocky Patel, and Perdomo, also create budget-friendlier cigars exclusively for retailers. Some good examples are the Famous Signature Series by the Garcia Family, CAO CX2, Conuco (Rocky Patel), and Alabao (Perdomo).

2. Weekly Email Sales

These email-only specials offer tons of bang-for-the-buck. While you may not pull the trigger on every one, you’ll have plenty of options for saving money on top-quality smokes, plus valuable bonus offers, free shipping, and more.

3. Cigar Auctioneer

This site is like the "eBay" of cigars, and is one of the best ways to get a great deal. You have to do a little extra work, but it is well worth it. Many bids start at $1, so the key is to check on the item you’re bidding on, early and often.

4. CigarMonster

With cigar and accessory deals changing every hour, this site offers the biggest savings of all. The key is checking back hourly. Better yet, if you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, download the Cigar Monster iPhone app, and save anytime, anywhere! The site even features a one-hour "Mash-Up" of all the day's deals, starting at 11 PM Eastern every day.

I'm not sure where this question goes, but I'm interested in small cigars like cigarillo's. I have not been able to find any sampler packs. It would be real nice if Famous Cigar's I put together sampler packs of May be four or five different cigars. You should do this in the future, please let me know. Thank you!
