For my preferences, I think Bahia Gold are some of the most underated cigars in the market. I would easily put them in my top ten, non-Cuban, favorite lines. Indulge yourself with one of Borhani's best. less

One look at this cigar and you see Tony's passion and desire to produce an excellent cigar. Consistent burn and draw from one cigar to the next. Very high quality control! Thank you Tony! less

I've been smoking Bahia's since '95, when the Vintage 92's came out. (Those were some great gars!)
When the Golds originally came out, they were likewise a great smoke: great construction, nice draw, and that special Bahia aroma. I've been smoking them off and on for several years, but over the last 2 years, I'e noticed a serious decline in quality. Interestingly, the timeline of comments posted here seems to reflect that decline. I'd love to see Borhani make another run
at resurrecting that original "special" Bahia
flavor and aroma, but I fear the Golds's best days
are behind it. less

"Started good, ended bad"
Tried one the other day that I received in a ... more
Tried one the other day that I received in a sampler pack that had been sitting in my humidor for about a month and half. Looked to be a good cigar--nice medium brown color wrapper, no visible flaws, firm feel throughout, pleasant smell, and a box press shape more like a rectangle. A snip of the tip, then a light. Initial thoughts--not bad. Flavor was pretty good, rich and somewhat hearty, coffee or dark chocolate overtones with a woody core are the flavors that struck me. The draw was a bit tighter than I like, but ok. Tons of smoke bellowing from the tip, but the smoke at the other end was cool and somewhat thin. The first inch was good, even, slow burning with smooth taste. But as I continued, the draw seemed to just get tighter and tighter, eventually killing the light. So I had to relight and then really baby it to keep it lit. That became the process until I got 2/3 of the way through the cigar and just gave up...my cheeks were too tired, the draw got that bad. Also, the flavor started to change to a papery dry flavor and some bitterness, probably because I had to relight so many times and "hotbox" to try to keep it lit. This was my first Bahia, so it didn't leave me with that good of an impression. I have a couple more to try, but well, I'm not going to go out of my way to try them right away. less

I was expecting more from this cigar. The draw was poor and the rich flavor I was looking for certainly was not to be found in this cigar. No depth to it at all. There are far better cigars out there for a lot less money. less

If I can pick any from the humidor, this may be the one! Great looking cigar and I love the spiciness of the draw. Great cigar for the first time novice and the person the cigar expert. less

These are my absolute favorites. They can be inconsistent (sometimes the draw is tight), but when you get a good one, it's absolute heaven. I mean, heaven. Just absolutely superb. less

A rich, spicy flavor and beautiful oily wrapper highlight this smoke. If you're lucky, you'll get one that doesn't have a tight draw on it. If the draw is a little tight, hit it a couple of three times, the flavor is worth the work!! At this price, you have to consider these smokes something to treat yourself to. After smoking every size in the Bahia Gold line, I'd have to say I've never been disappointed!! less

I live in Japan and smoke Cubans every day. No other non-Cuban cigar comes close (sorry Fuente) to the taste of a good Cuban but I'll be damned if this one isn't on target. Well done. Highly reccomended!!! less
