Carlos Torano 1916 Cigars
Carlos Toraño 1916 Cameroon premium cigars commemorate the year Santiago Toraño emigrated to Cuba and first began growing tobacco in the fertile Vuelta Abajo region. This outstanding tribute series sports a flawless Cameroon wrapper that surrounds a well-balanced, medium to full-bodied blend of earthy Nicaraguan & Honduran longfiller tobaccos. One of the Toraño Family's finest blends, offering a smooth, flavorful and complex smoke laced with flavors of cedar, nuts, and sweet spices.

Liked the size. Disliked veiny wrapper, draw , brittle cap and hard, rock-like feel to this cigar. This cigar had been in my humidor for 7 weeks and was STILL DRY and Brittle. Above all, this smoke was so tasteless I almost forgot why I was smoking it . It was MILD though... less

I don't think there's a cameroon-wrapped cigar I haven't tried. I've been looking for a replacement for the Perdomo La Tradicion Cameroon Reserve--my favorite, now discontinued. I found it in this cigar: it has all the hallmarks of a great cameroon-wrapped smoke--wonderful baking spices aroma, subtle spice--with enough oomph in the filler to keep it rich & interesting, but never overpowering. And the price is just killer. If you like cameroon, try this cigar--one of the best in the Torano stable. less

I have tried many different smokes. I got a 1916 in a sampler pack I bought. I enjoyed it so much I figured it must be a fluke. Now after purchasing tons of them and sharing them with my friends, I know it is definately not a fluke. All my friends love them, they all comment on how smooth and tastefull they are. less

I let this rest in my humidor for about a month before smoking it. I can't say enough about this cigar, presentation is beautiful, the flavor is unmatched, burn is even and develops a long clingy ash, definitely will keep this one in the humidor less

Quite a fantastic cigar, the 1916 Cameroon. The smoke was fantastic, as well as the finish. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a pallette. The taste bloomed in the middle of the cigar into quite a a taste. Give this one a try. less

Brought home a '90 Miata today- 41,000 miles and great condition. Wanted to celebrate the occasion, so I went to the humidor for a 1916 Cameroon Churchill. It didn't disappoint. I've smoked a number of them, and enjoyed everyone. Good draw, even burn, clingy ash, great flavor. There will always be some in my humidor. less

"Not Sure"

I bought a bunch of these the other night to share with some of my buddies. The wives were out of town so we had a reason to celebrate!! The construction is great although the wrapper leaf tends to be pretty thin and starts to unravel when you cut it. This happened on all of the cigars. Also, 2 out of the 5 were plugged pretty bad. It wasn't that it was rolled too tight but they had some hard spots that we couldn't "massage" out. Also, I'm not to sure about the taste. I really couldn't nail it down but I just didn't like this blend. I tend towards medium to full maduros and this one just didn't do it for me. I also bought a CT Signature Perfecto Maduro which is supposed to be pretty good based on everyone's reviews. I'll give that one a try and see if I feel any different. less
