Cusano 59 Rare Cameroon Cigars
Cusano 59 Rare Cameroon's toothy, dark brown wrapper is flawlessly wrapped around a filler blend that incorporates a Dominican wrapper leaf. The burn and draw are perfect, delivering an abundance of sensationally sweet smoke on the full side of medium-bodied. Even with some power behind it, the rare Cameroon leaf remains the star, revealing well-balanced notes of spice and an equally seductive aroma. The cigars are named for Cusano co-owner Joe Chiusano's birth-year.

If you like Cameroons, you've got to try this stick. Much better than the pricier Upmann Cameroon. less

This was not a good tasting cigar. The build was great, nice and firm with an even draw, the wrapper was a fine example of a rich Cameroon, but the overall palate was bitter and harsh, the aroma was unappealing, and the aftertaste was sour. Preference for taste varies greatly from person to person, but I cannot recommend this cigar at any price. less

This may be my new favorite in an evening cigar. I bought a box of them and have smoked three so far. It is a cigar of moderate strength, yet is is still smooth. After smoking Cusano Corojo 97 as my go to evening smoke, I may have found a more satisfying smoke; only time will tell. less

"Yuck."

I loved the pre-released version of this cigar and was looking forward to getting more once they were formally offered for sale. I was skeptical right away because the new cigars looked and smelled less appealing. Upon lighting I was aghast at how bad it tasted. I hadn't smoked a bad cigar in a long time and could not figure out why an established cigar maker would put out such an inferior product. I put the cigar down and re-lit it a few times during the evening and each time I was repulsed by it's taste. I even lit up a know cigar to see if it was me, and in comparison, the Cusano was, well, just gross. The bitter taste of burnt charcoal overwhelmed any other flavors that my have lurked underneath. I've smoked a lot of good cigars from a lot of different manufacturers and this is the worst tasting cigar I've had since the fake Cuban Romeo y Julietta of last year. less
