Ok, I won a five pack of the Picantes at an auction. I tried one as soon as I got them. It was an average smoke with a bit of a peppry taste. I tried another two weeks later and there was still no change. I have tried my last three after three, six, and twelve months in my humidor. While they did mellow out a little over time, I did not notice a significant change. I'll stick to my Sancho Panza Double Maduro Quixotes for my every day go to cigar. less

Won a 5 pack on auction and had them sitting in the humidor for about 2 weeks. Finally got to light one up. As far as the taste, the first few minutes into it were pretty unimpressive, not much flavor. About a quater of the way thru, the flavor kicked in and every puff got tastier. The burn and ash were great, the draw was just a little tighter then I like. I enjoyed it along with 4 fingers of Hennessy less

I gave this cigar a very bad review, after muscleing through several of them and was very honest about it. But, seems that after "resting", actually drying out for a couple weeks, they get a lot better compared to when they arrive "fresh".
Are they great? No. But not bad for a light breakfast cigar. In spite of the names given these sizes, Picante and Caliente, don't expect a lot of spice! They are in fact very mild with just a hint of spice on the finish. The flavor is pretty thin for my taste too. I do have to give top marks for burn, construction and consistency. less

I received this cigar in a sampler and let it sit in the humidor for about 3 weeks. The Picante lives up to its name. Smooth draw and well constructed. It is a very spicy cigar and the taste sticks to your lips for quite some time. Hints of almonds and cream come out heavily in the middle of the smoke. But it seems a little heavier then a medium body cigar. less

"Definatly NOT worth it."

These things have very little flavor. OK for breakfast maybe.. Worse, they are rolled so tight it's actual work to draw on them. Even so, almost ok for a cheapo, except for the fact that for a 5 inch cigar, the last 2 inches are absolutely foul.
Anyone want a box I got in a 2fer?. What a waste. I'm seriously thinking of tossing the 2nd box. For me, that's unheard of. Oh well, just maybe, if I keep them long enough they'll improve.. less

These have been in the humidor for about a month bought from Cigar Monster for a great price. Starts off with a strong leathery taste, but the cigar slowly became more complex throughout the smoke. In the back half the leather taste calmed down and gave way to hints of chocolate and cream. I had to straighten out the burn a couple times and relight twice. The wrapper started to splinter a bit towards the end, but all in all I'd say it was a pretty good smoke for the price. If the construction was a little better I would call this a great cigar. less

I receved the box on a friday and smoked my first one on the following saturday. Nearly from the first draw I could tell this was going to be good.I usualy smoke the grand fuego but I decided to give the Caliente a try.The burn was remarkably straight even outside on a windy day.The taste was powerfull but not overwhelming.A true instant hit and one that I will be keeping in my humidor. less
