Famous 70th Camacho Cigars
Despite (or perhaps because of) their friendly father-son rivalry, Don Julio and Christian Eiroa's most enduring successes have been the fruit of collaboration. Don Julio grew the rich, dark brown Honduran wrapper at their Honduran farm. Beneath resides Christian's muscular blend of Dominican and Honduran Habano longfiller and Corojo binder tobaccos. The full-bodied smoke is invigorating in the Camacho tradition, melding woodsy flavors with complex undertones of pepper and spice. Try them today!

"Good Smoke!"

I just had this cigar straight from the box on delivery. Once again Famous, nor Camacho dissapoint. Nice medium bodied cigar with a woodsy kind of flavor. Mine burned just a little uneven, but I smoked it outside with a pretty good breeze blowing. I'm sure with a little time in the humidor they'll be even better. less

"Unfortunately harsh, disappointing cigar"

First, I love almost everything Camacho makes and second, I tend to be a tough reviewer so I hold off until I've smoked several cigars, often from different sources. I'd much rather write a positive review of a great product, but this isn't in that category. Like all Camacho cigars, construction is nearly perfect. Appearance is rich, dark and delicious. But this is a very different profile for Camacho and it doesn't suit me at all. I won a box of Toro's at auction, eagerly opened them and they looked mouth-watering! I lit one up and was stunned at how harsh, bitter and strong (not "full-bodied", just strong) it was. I let them rest, smoked one a week for the past several weeks and after 2 months, they haven't improved. Sorry, but for my taste, I can't recommend these. For comparison, the Camacho Corojo and Cayolor are among my favorites, and the Perdomo 70th's are excellent. less

"Good job, Famous...it IS a Camacho!"
I bought these Famous 70th Camacho Robustos d... more
I bought these Famous 70th Camacho Robustos during a Cigar Monster special, even after reading one review stating how horrible they were. I cannot speak for that person, but, as one who enjoys Camacho cigars a lot, I'd have to say it ranks right up there with the regular Camacho brands. To me, with its Dominican/Honduran blend, it seems very similar to the new Room101...maybe a cross between it and the Camacho Connecticut, in taste. I did not find it overly strong, like a full... it was more like a stronger medium. The wrapper was tight and burned well with the typical Camacho draw, and the ash was firm, though it formed a cone every time I used the ashtray. I've smoked two so far...one with morning coffee and the other while driving, and have noticed no difference in taste. The regular pricing could be lowered a bit, though, IMHO, as this is not a Camacho "regular". All in all, however, I am pleased with my purchase. In the meantime, I'll just wait til they appear on Cigar Monster again! less
