Famous 70th Plasencia Cigars
Grinning wryly, Nestor Plasencia Sr. puffed on the cigar that would become his entry in our Famous Private Selection 70th Anniversary line. Despite having no ligero tobacco, he said it reminded him of "a 100% Cuban cigar made here in Honduras." We couldn't agree more: its blend of well-aged Nicaraguan and Honduran longfillers, Nicaraguan Habano binder, and seamless Nicaraguan Habano Rosado wrapper offers-up a supremely smooth and flavorful smoke with a spicy edge. "VERY POOR CIGAR"

Won a box of these on the auction hoping for some good smokes because of the Plasencia reputation. BAD BAD BAD. Almost no flavor in these sticks. Very very light cigar. Nestor plasencia was grinning alright! He knew he would sucker someone into buying them. Stay away from these sticks. They are worth less than a buck a stick! Yuck! less

"In a word: TERRIBLE!"
Just won a box of these on the auction site. ... more
Just won a box of these on the auction site. I wish I didn't win. What a terrible cigar! Lousy taste, lousy construction, and lousy burn. I paid a little more than I like because of the reputation of Plasencia but man did he drop the ball on these duds. If it wasn't on auction I would of paid the postage and sent these dog rockets back. They are described as having no ligero tobacco in them, well that must be the problem because I don't know what's in them except for a whole lot of nasty. My advice is to stay away from these and save your money. less

I found this robusto quite enjoyable. Despite no ligero in the blend, this robusto had ample taste. No spice to speak of, the flavors stood out = almondy-woodsy coffee-like flavors. No tingle, but very enjoyable. A good morning smoke, to be sure, and also for after lunch. Maybe not enough after a big meal, but perfect with a cup of coffee in the AM or with a glass of good white wine. I really enjoyed the hell out of this cigar. Recommended. less
