This is my very first cigar review ever and for good reason. Less than a week ago I ordered a couple of cigar travel cases from a FSS email special that each came with a 5 pack of MAXX traditional toros. These were "thrown" in on the deal. So you know, don't expect much. I could not be more wronger, yes...I said more wronger! The cases were great, but after seeing how inviting those cigars looked I couldn't wait my normal week or two of reclimatizing them in my humador to try one. If I might be allowed to reverse the old saying "Well worth the wait", it was "Well Worth Not Waiting"! "Jeesh", I said to myself (yes, I actually said it out loud to myself) after lighting up and giving it a few minutes to sink in, "I don't remember enjoying a cigar so much without having thinking about it" There was nothing to think about; everything I look for in a cigar was there. Aroma, Taste, Consistency, etc., etc.. The package came yesterday by UPS, I smoked one last night and today I just finished my order for a whole box of this awsomeness. These may become one of my elete few that I hold dear to my heart and only sparingly relinquish one or two to friends, as a toddler might be told to unwillingly share his favorite toy with the snot nosed kid next door. How else would that kid know how great that toy is? Try'em, they're like cuddling up with your favorite binky! less

Alec Bradley's MAXX cigars have always caught my eye, and I always liked their full body and smooth taste. But I always had problems with unraveling wrappers and uneven burns, making these cigars less than enjoyable. Not so with the MAXX Traditional. These cigars deliver the same strength and taste the MAXX line is known for, but with far better construction and burn, making the MAXX experience the true pleasure for oneself that Alec Bradley meant it to be. I first gave the MAXX Traditional Toro a shot with a Cigar Monster 5-pack special, then bought two boxes in a great Famous deal. You need to give them a shot too; You won't be disappointed. less

I for the life of me could not find anything wrong with this cigar. Everything was near perfect. The burn could even up a touch, but that was probably because I'm in and out of my main box twice a day. I'll admit, I do prefer the Maxx's over the Traditionals, but only because of the sizes. I like 58 ring gauges. I couldn't believe the quality given the price. The next time Famous sells them for $49.98 for a box of 25, I'm buying as much as my wallet will allow! less

I really enjoy these smokes. I didn't know much about these but I do like Alec Bradleys's Tempus (who doesn't?). So I bought them "blind" on sale. I have not regretted that one bit. Extremely smooth smoke with an excellent flavor profile. Big flavor with a slight sweetness to them. There is nothing subtle about this cigar. The smoke starts off a little sweet and with a very good taste/flavor. By the end of the first inch, the cigar comes into its own and becomes an outstanding smoke. I haven't had one that hasn't smoked well. To me, they are medium in strength and on the full side in flavor. I bought these while on sale, but will happily buy at full price. less

Truely satisfing smoke. Really I would go so far as to say it is a better tasting, smoother smoking and far more complex than my sacred few cubans in my hum-a-cooler. Great price, great cigar ; just can't go wrong with this one. Hey, maybe that guy from north carolina should a been home so the delivery guy didn't have to leave his cigars out in the rain! First of all, I am a big fan of Alec Bradley cigars. That being said, I knew I was in for a treat. It certainly didn't disapoint. Great burn. Nice construction and some damn fine flavor. I ordered this through FSS on Thursday. They arrived on Friday. Saturday evening Im sitting back with a cupof coffee and the Maxx. Great way to spend a night with all the snow falling. FSS hasn't let me down in the year and a half I've been dealing with them. Thanks again FSS for a great smoke, Great service and an AWESOME price on these sticks. less

I was looking for a good cigar to treat myself for my birthday. I am glad I did not stop with the first review which called them green and loosely rolled like a cigarette!! Dude is color blind and can't feel. I could make up some fancy words, take my word for it they are a great all around cigar. I will buy these again!! less

The construction is very nice. Burn is even. The draw is firm but not as firm as most CAO's. The smell is great. I've received nothing but praise on the aroma. The taste is EXCELLENT!!! Medium to full body, rich, complex, with a hint of sweetness. When you factor in the price, this one of THE BEST smokes out there. I'm thinking about stocking one of my smaller humidors with nothing but MAXX. less

Ah, the maxx... Is it a cigar? or is it perfection in a tube? Strong, but not overpowering, smooth, but not bland, lots of smoke but lasts a while. I will buy these anytime I run out and any time I ever see them on monster I stock up. My girlfrinds rating, well if you have to smoke at least you are smoking something good this time. less

I just finished smoking my first Maxx with a glass of red wine. This is one of if not the best cigars I have had in a long time. It had a mellow flavor that finished with a hint of cashews. The smooth smoke even caught my wife's attention. She is a tough critic of my selections, and she loved the aroma. I would recommend this stick to anyone. I can't wait to have my next with a glass of port or a cup of coffee.Oh, the burn was also very even with an easy draw, but you won't be thinking about that because of the pure relaxation that comes from this cigar. less
