It is a matter of taste after all has been said and done. This cigar is very mild, consistent to the end, easy draw, etc. It is not really cheap, but then offers very good value for money spent. If you do not mind $5 for a stick, then go for it! less

No cheap plastic inserts. Cigars fit safely into the soft foam cutouts. The pen/cutter is great. Nice solid, heavy, metal construction. The ink seams to be replaceable when needed. All around great sampler for you or as a gift. less

I smoked a Monte #2 last night that I'd been ... moreI smoked a Monte #2 last night that I'd been saving for a special occasion. To my taste, it was nearly identical to the RyJ Habana Reserve torpedoes. The RyJs happen to be my favorite cigar as of right now, so the Monte was a good smoke, but I expected more given how much these go for.
I suspect that if I had had the Monte first the RyJ just wouldn't live up to it, so thank God I'm cheap. less
