Had one of these the other night ... my friend had a 4 pack. He said that they are now discontinued. If that is true it is a shame. The closest smoke that I could compare them to is the Oliva Serie O Petit Perfecto. less

I have had kept these big mamas in my humi for years. I remember when they use to come in the ceramic jar. You can't beat the Mexican wrapper. It's really great! A very rich and balanced cigar. Lots of good smoke, too. Delicious. less

I smoked 4 Montecristo Platinums (Toro) to give it a fair chance, but I am sad to say I was a bit disappointed. This cigar does not hold a candle to the Montecristo Whites. Maybe I was just expecting it to be like the Whites with a little more kick. The draw and aroma were fine, but the taste and burn were not. On a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 4. The Platinum will not get a spot in my Humidor again. I'll stick to the Whites which in my opinion are the best in the world! less

I smoked the #1 platinum and had a difficult with the draw; seemed plugged. The taste was good within the last 4 inches. The aroma was excellent and the burn was very good. It is similar in taste and aroma to other Monte's I have had. less

This was a fine cigar. The burn was perfect, the ash beautiful and tight, the flavor exquisite, albeit a little on the milder side of medium-bodied. I found the draw a little difficult, but still more than adequate. I bought a five-pack and this was the first one after giving them a little valuable real estate in my humidor for the last month. It was delightful and I highly recommend it if you are looking for something a little milder. less

I enjoy surprising my man with a few cigars now and then as a special treat. A little indulgence like that brightens his whole day. He occasionally samples other brands (Uppman, Dunhill, and Ashton), but without a doubt, his favorite is always a Montecristo of any variety, and his very, very favorite is a Montecristo Platinum. less
