This is one of those cases where you get what you pay for! A work of art from the first draw to the stub. Smooooth. The $5 sticks seem to all taste about the same, but you will remember this smoke. Al

These left me somewhat disappointed in Padron, these had a harsh taste to them. Somewhat sour a little, perhaps it was just me.

After reviewing this cigar a second time, I find the cigar inconsistent. This cigar sports a dark brown, blotchy, rapper, that is filled with veins. The burn is uneven and ash is loose. There are faint wisps of wood in the nose, and a bitter aftertaste in the mouth, throughout the burn. The approximate burn time is 80 minuets. I can't rate this cigar again, due to its inconsistency. .

The Padron Palmas Maduro offers something for everyone. This cigar sports a nice well constructed milk chocolate colored wrapper, with a nice even flat cap with some veins. The cigar is medium in strength, and burns with a salt and pepper ash. In the first third of the cigar, it caresses the palate with sweet cocoa, and nuts. In the second third of the burn, hints of cocoa and sweet coffee aromas linger through out the nose, and gently smack the palate. In the last third of the burn, leather and cocoa aromas complete this smoking experience. The burn time on this cigar is approximately 60 minuets. On a scale of 1 to10, I would rate this cigar 9

Purchased this stick hoping for the best and I was not let down. Wrapper was veiny, but well constructed with no soft spots. Burn was great and straight. Taste was outstanding from start to finish. I nubbed it til my fingers burnt.

This is a superb smoke. Great taste, phenominal draw, great burn. What else can I say? These are my main stay in my humidor. My daily smoke. I smoke them to a nub. No down side.

I received several packs of the 2000 series and WOW what a difference from the Padrons I've had in the past. These were terrible. The only way to describe them is harsh and horrible. No cholocate, coffee or earthy flavor to them at all. It tasted like burnt leather. I like a leathery quality at times but these did not resemble the taste I had last year. On a positive note, the construction was excellent as was the draw. Even more discouraging were the other packs that I got, the Churchill and the 5000 packs: all of them had the same unpleasant taste. I've been through many boxes of Padrons mainly the 2000, 3000 and Churchill and enjoyed all of them. Maybe this is simply a bad batch because Padron prides itself on quality. I'm not sure it's worth spending more money on these in the future. Hope you have better luck.

I must open by stating that I favor Padron cigars, but I populate my humidor with a plurality of Arturo Funetes Hemmingways. Needless to say, that Fuentes Hemmingways are at the shorter end (length) of quality cigars, it is ,therefore, somewhat out of step to smoke a Padron Magnum at 9 inches. After 5 Magnums, I find it a smoke more suited to an aggresive style for the first third. It is head spinning, but the flavors are accentuated by a multiple draw. the tempurature is cooled by the length of the cigar, so it is comfortable to get aggressive with this stick in the first third. If you are looking for a 2 hour relaxing smoke, you will find this stick somewhat drawn out and slightly boring. If, however, you attack this smoke, you will find that it will slow you down in a short time. I know that we all have a consistent approach to smoking cigars and cigars of this length ussually require a resignation and commitment of time. this is counter to an aggresive smoking style from the begining. I reccomend an aggresive style, until you feel the cigar fight back, then a slower more measured approach for the last half of the smoke. In summary, this is an excellent smoke if you need a smoke to slow you down. don't take on this smoke if you want to wade your way through two hours, but count on it to slow you down if you are on the high end of your day and need a challege. this cigar will slowly wear you down into sweet earthy resignation along with an escort of your favorite spirits.
