The Sumatra Junior smells terrific out of the box, generous coffee and earth notes; it was so inviting that I smoked one immediately. Perhaps that was the problem--mild doesn't mean tasteless, and I found myself wanting to like the little bugger more than I did. It had no complexity, none of the richness I've come to savor in the Rocky line. Construction and draw were excellent, however, and I'm hoping that some time in the penalty box will season them. less

I usually smoke the RP Edge Missile or the Indian Tobac Pyramid but wanted a smaller cigar for outside at a wedding reception or just a quick after dinner smoke. Tried the Juniors and was super satisfied. Nice smell, good draw and fairly consistent. Perfect to carry around when you don?t know where you will end up! Looking forward to trying the Connecticut wrapper version ? Just ordered them! less

I got these free with a purchase of a box of RPs. They are ok in a pinch, or if you are in a hurry. The get hot and harsh after 1/2 complete. I would not buy these, but would take them again if another free offer comes around. less

This has been my winter cigar for about 2 years. Constantly re-ordered and always enjoyed. Until this box, that is! from my calculations, this is box #8 or #9. BAD burn, BAD construction and not a great tasting cigar! I really hope that I just got a bad box..cause I really felt that these were the greatest short, inexpensive cigar out there. Now, (and since the price seems to have gotten higher) they're just a cheap cigar. Last night I found one from a past box and it was extacy..this morning I had one fron the new box..agony! That was the 4th or 5th out of the new box and they've all pretty much been the same. less

I bought a box of of CigarMonster several months ago. I waited a couple weeks to have one and I was thoroughly impresses. Hands down dollar for dollar these are the best cigars I've run across. I tend toward fuller bodied cigars and these are a solid medium. These have tons of flavor for such a small package, proof that size doesn't always matter. As most small cigars, these can burn hot if you don't smoke them slowly. Don't try and draw like you would a robusto, instead easy small puffs is all you need. The clouds of billowing smoke won't be there and this can be frustrating if your not used to smoking smaller cigars, but just sit back relax and take some time learn how to smoke THIS cigar and enjoy the rewards. The only other small cigar I've smoked that I enjoy as much as these RP is the Cuesta Rey Centrofino Camio. less

The Rocky Patel Connecticut Juniors were the best cigars I have ever had. Small enough to smoke in a short time, but they last long enough to make it worth your while. If you like a small cigar, not a cigarillo, and a natural wrapper with a smooth, consistent burn, these are the cigars for you. less

Not a huge Rocky fan in the first place, but I like The Edge and these Juniors. I'm writing this review mostly because I want to clarify a couple of things for prospective buyers: 1. This is a very good tasting small cigar. It is well-made and the cedar box it comes it is very nice. The lid slides out, so don't try to pull it straight up as if it had a hinge because it doesn't have one. 2. There is an RP "Natural" Junior also available and it ought to be named "Dark Natural". It's darker of course and has a heavier earthy taste than the Connecticuts. Both are good; I prefer the latter. This is a great gardening stick. For the longer jobs you'll want something a little bigger, but for watering the yard before going into the office or other small jobs - they are perfect. While you're at the yard-work anyway, keep these humidified and smelling great by throwing in some of those falling-off rose petals you probably have around. Magnificent. A real treat while the summer lasts. less

If you find yourself short of the time required to smoke a full-sized cigar, just fire one of these up. The draw and burn were consistent ,while the taste is flavorful, without being overly spicy. A great alternative in my opinion. less
