Opened up my tube, and the wrapper was already flaking, taste was inconsistent but what was there was fairly peppery, needed to be cut about once every inch, it burned fairly consistently though and thats about all I can give it. I hope mine was just a bad egg

I am not a cigar expert, but I do know that this is not for me. The cigar I smoked was not what I had read about. The appearance was nice and it burned evenly, but I had to strain myself to taste anything. The smoke was very thin, and the subtle taste was of a slightly sweet tobacco...just tobacco...which is fine, but it was so subtle it wasn't worth the effort for me. It went mushy soon after lighting and it did leave an unpleasant aftertaste. Based on their prior reviews--why I bought them--most people seem to enjoy them, but this one does not suit my tastes.

Litterally just finished one of these about an hour ago, I sat and tanned for a good 90 minutes with this stick. I let mine settle in my humidor for a couple of weeks and I am glad I did. Dont let them get above 65 or so if you can because then tend to feel almost soggy or squishy. 60 is a nice level for them though. Anyways, Lit with one match, the draw after the first half inch tasted almost sugary and leaves a nice wood and nutmeg flavor after. The last inch or two becomes rather harsh and bland, but it was the everything in between that was amazing. Ashes when ever it wants too which kind of made a mess, but it's just ash and can be blown away no problem.

Sure it burns even. Sure it looks fine. Sure the tobacco tastes like quality tobacco. Don't expect to be able to draw on this cigar unless your lungs are a 10amp Hoover Vacuum. I bought 50 of these cigars to give as gifts. After I gave them out I opened two packs for myself and I literally haven't come across a single one that draws like a normal cigar. A horrible smoke.

I really enjoyed this cigar. I've smoked 2 of these and Iiked them both. I had uneven burns at the start of each cigar that evened out later in the smoke. I had some small unraveling near the half way point but the taste and volume of smoke was great. When I got to the end of the cigar I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of pepper! Wow!! This cigar is a keeper even with is short comings. Cant wait for my next purchase!

I was very happy with the contruction, first off the draw was great and the burn was consistent through the entire cigar (from start to finish). the flavor had a woody and a spicy sort of sweet taste at the finish and did not bite even at the nub.
I would recommend this to family and friends

excellent cigar at a real nice price. these are very consistent, quite tasty, well-constructed, and nice draw. the torpedos are good as well, but the bullys have a much better draw and better burn from my experience.

I honestly tried to love the RYJ 1875 tubed brand.
I mean....distinguished history, affordably priced, beautiful presentation....and that distinct RYJ 1875 mellow taste...nutty and just the slightest taste of toffee on the finish.
That is if you can lay your hands on a stick with a decent draw!
I would gladly pay the extra beans if they would step up their quality control, because right now for every box of 10 cigars...I only receive about 4 to 5....that are not rolled so tight they could be used as tent stakes!
So, I'm done....there are way too many fine cigars on the market, to put up with this nonsense.
I guess it's just......a tragic love story :-)
