Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Juniors (Tin of 5 Cigars)
"Great taste, yet dissapointing construction"
After smoking several tins of the RP vintage 1990s, I noticed several positives, as well as some very big negatives. POSITIVES: The taste of the cigar itself is wonderful. A good medium-full smoke that lasts anywhere from 20-45 minutes. They have a very nice draw that allows just the right amount of smoke. NEGATIVES: While the two rings are very nice looking, the adhesive is too powerful. Out of two packs, I have only had one cigar where the wrapper did not rip while removing the farthest ring. Considering how small these cigars are, it can really ruin a good portion of it. It was very disappointing considering the reputation these cigars have. Also, the burn was not as consistent as I would have liked. I prefer a cigar that burns evenly, whereas these seemed to burn a bit lopsided, and required some maintenance. The bottom line: these cigars are very tasty, but the overall construction is lacking. If you are only going to smoke half of the cigar, this is the buy for you. Otherwise, skip it and go for the full sized RP.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Petit Corona 5 Pack
"Very nice, good value"
I had it in my head that I had tried Rocky's years ago and found them bland so I've been dismissing them for years. I kept reading great reviews and finally broke down and bought a 5 pack. I don't know if I confused Rocky's with another brand but man was I suprised at what a nice little smoke these turned out to be. Rich expresso taste not harsh, good burn and decent draw for a small gauge. A very good, satisfying cigar for the money. I will definately buy and try more. After these, based on what I've read, Decade, Vintage 1990 and OWR are next on my list.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto 5 Pack
"Don't Know"
Went to the swatt meet one weekend. Never notice this guy had a truck converted in to a giant! humidor on wheels. Pretty cool, even carried Padron cigars. I thought I would try this one cause he said it was a nice smoke but will kick you in the ass. not to sure about this one yet have to try it again. Don't really care too much for a boxed pressed cigar, feels like I'm smoking a snickers. I think he did a nice job blending the different flavors together but need to work on the construction a bit more cause mine was loose and it burned too fast to even taste it.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Toro
"Very Nice"
This RP 1992 Toro has been resting in my humidor for 2 months. This is 10 year old Ecudorian wrapper I think and 5 year old filler and binder out of Nicaragua and the DM. I understand that Rocky came across this 10 and 12 year old wrapper that had been stashed away by another cigar comapny that went belly up. I have also smoked the 1990 toro vintage and it is extraordinary.
IMO, the 1992 blend is also very good. The wrapper makes the difference between the 2 vintages. I nubbed this and was looking for the tweezers.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto
"These 1990 Vintages Rock! Atta boy Rocky!"
1990 Vintage Robusto - Oh so sweet. Just delicious, good draw and burn, multi flavors. Don't need liquor or coffee to make this a good smoke, it is by itself. The smoke is very aromatic and will turn heads, well mine at least. A Buddy lit one up on the bow of my sailboat, the wind drifted the smoke down to me, and hoo-boy, made me reach quickly into my jacket for mine. You know how your mouth starts to water when you smell a good cigar. That's what the 1990 Rocky did to me.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Robusto 5 Pack
"Rocky Patel Strikes Again!"
I am quickly becoming a great fan of Rocky's entire line. While I am a confirmed Padron addict, I find almost every Patel to be chock full of flavor without being overpowering. Such is the case with the Vintage 1992. I think the 1990's are terrific, as well. As with all of Rocky's selections, the construction is superb. Don't know how they do it on such a consistent basis. Draw is good, not the best. Delicious aroma. This cigar, while not as full and satisfying as the 1990 Maduro, is a blast with a cup of coffee. Try these babies and the 1990's -You will be very pleased.
