Zino Mouton Cadet #5 Pack
"Nice smooth smokes"
Took a 5 pack to River Downs for Derby Day. Enjoyed 3 while working the ponies. At least the cigars turned out good. Need alittle more time to study the Racing Form. Oh well, The Preakness is coming up soon. Wonder what I'll be smoking that day at the track?

"Disapointing"
Mild to the point of being devoid of flavor with a very difficult draw. Unfortunately very consistent. My biggest cigar disapointment, purchased after enjoying the #6.

Zino Mouton Cadet #5 Pack
"This is a premium cigar?"
I have tried 2 different sizes of the Zino Mouton Cadet and am amazed that these aren't somebodys seconds. The wrappers have green spots, the construction is spongy, and the draw is either tight, or like sucking air through a straw. The flavor ranges from pretty good to awful. There are plenty of much better cigars out there. I you are looking for a milder cigar that is also inexpensive, try the Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe.

"Mild, Lightly Flavored, Well Constructed"
I bought a box of #8s, and being a smoker that prefers a milder cigar, I figured these would be perfect. The wrapper is very smooth, nearly perfect, and the entire roll is extremely well done. The cigar starts off quite mild, and really doesn't develop much strength as you smoke. This cigar would be ideal for a beginner or someone seeking a mild, anytime of day cigar. I feel it may actually be a little too tame for some smokers. Its truly a beautiful cigar, worthy of the Davidoff name, although I think it will leave some wanting more in their next cigar. Definitely worth trying a 5 pack, or a box if you are truly into a mild smoke.

"NOT A MILD CIGAR"
Well when receiving my box of # 8 Zino Mouton cadet.Just inspecting the cigar alone was impressive only one vein running down the cigar.. the wrapper is a chestnut brown, so this alone told me it not going to be a mild smoke, then once I held it up to my nose to smell, this was confirmed, it had a smell of a medium to full strength cigar, .. When I smoked it, my nose did not mislead me at all... So my point here fellows is, not a morning cigar or 12pm noon cigar, you can count out the mild on it, great evening cigar better after dinner cigar.. burns great runs an inch & half ash before it drops off.. fantastic along with a class of red wine... a real elegant cigar .......

"Grassy and young."
During the "cigar boom" of the 90's this was a
very sophisticated smoke and one of my favorites,
sadly today this 2007 version is weak papery and
some very green tasting tobacco with a vegetal flavor,I smoked 4 and that flavor is very consistent, maybe that is what they are going for
but my palate says lack of aging to cut cost.
I gave the rest to my brother,a week later he called to tell me they "tasted green".
A box of Any Rocky Patel Vintage, is money better spent, right now.

"smooth and good"
Got one in a trade and then bought a box. The couple I have smoked were well constructed and burned well. Mild to medium in strength with very good nutty tobacco flavor. There is also a fruit or floral hint that I haven't been able to peg. No flint or metallic taste whatever. I like these for a change from the much heavier cigars.

Zino Mouton Cadet #3
"well constructed, mild flavor, tight draw"
Mouton Cadet is a nice, reasonably priced wine, I love it. I tried the Zino MC hoping for the same. The cigar was beautiful and perfectly constructed, but too tightly. The draw was hard except near the end, but the flavor was mild, clear and the aroma was nice. One additional note: the #3 can be smoked outdoors when it is cold, w/o the tunneling that occurs w/ the heavier gauge cigars where the wrapper gets too cold for an even burn. Reasonable, but not competitive. Stick with the Mouton Cadet wines like the merlot or the cabernet.

"Simple and satisfying"
IMHO, "churchill" is a gauge with better results than almost any other. So, if the "Zino Mouton Cadet No.7" was an unpleasant disappointment, let's say that "No.8" was, somehow, a consolation. It has better construction & appearence, a good draw, an even burn, all in all, the basic qualities of a regular smoke.
But... The main problem af the non-Cubans is the taste! I don't know why, but they don't succeed to make complex smokes. Maybe it's the wrapper? All the non-Cubans (the exceptions confirm the rule) have a flat taste, with poor undertones, smelling like ash...
Among them, still, the "Zino M.C.No.8" is a satisfying smoke, with a good tobacco taste and some sweet & creamy hints, especially after the first third. I could stand it.

"Huge disappointment"
The "Zino Mouton Cadet No.7" is one of the most over-estimated cigars I know. It has a poor construction, the consistency isn't better than some Cuban machine made smokes, and the taste is flat. The flavor, too, is rather ashy, harsh and biting, with no undertones whatsoever. Despite the fact that, usually, the Carribeans have good draw and even burn, the "Zino M.C.No.7" didn't pass these criteria neither. An it costs double than a genuine Cuban "Partagas Coronas"!!! Good Lord!...
