Very smooth, enjoyable smoke

I have to agree with Tabac Mack when he said "The aroma had a heady, rich smell of fresh cut cedar. There was a very nice full bodied flavor without a trace of harshness. The finish was tart with notes of wet freshly tooled leather." That statement about the finish is dead on, and I smoked every one of these down to the nub. Excellent mild but full taste, easy draw and tons of thick smoke make this a favorite. I recommend at least trying a five pack.

Moocho Buenos Tabaccos

I won this box in the auction and took a chance because I never smoked them before. I went solely on the appearance in the picture and the reviews of others. Well let me say that I am glad I got them. I had to smoke a couple of sticks to put my finger on the taste, and I came to the conclusion that it is a cross between RC Cola and fine chocolate. DELICIOUS !! The claim that it is the" True Natural Maduro", well....it's definitely not like any maduro I have ever tasted, but....it is absolutely delicious. And the burn, draw and consistancy are all excellant. I give it a 9. I will be buying more. Highly recommended to all serious cigar smokers.

A Sweet Full Bodied Smoke!

Excellent cigar! I happened to get a 5 pack, and now I'm ordering a box. Consistent burn, nice white ashe, good draw, and well constructed. What did it for me was the sweetness of the smoke, it reminded me of Cabanas. Full bodied and sweet...very easy on the tongue! Highly recommended!

As an Astral fan, I was unimpressed

I am a fan of the Astral Talanga Valley Selection, as well as other Astral cigars. Of all the Talanga Valley sizes, the Churchill to me was a disappointment. Compared to the the Toro and the Pyramid, the construction is inconsistent and the burn uneven about 75% of the time. Don't get me wrong...these are tasty, but the just don't measure up to the usual Astral quality I'm used to. I advise ordering a different size/shape if you are picky about your cigars.

Excellent all around smoke

The Talanga Valley Toro was a great smoke. It draws very easily. Has a very good construction. It tastes awesome. This has become one of my favorites. I always keep a box in my humidor. Great deal on the auction page.

Metal Mouth!!??

These guys make my mouth taste like it did when I was a teenager and just got my braces on. Kind of a metallic taste if you ask me. I checked with Cigar Aficianado and they say the same thing.

Tha Bomb

This is one Great Cigar. I have had it many times since it first appeared, it has consistant construction, and an Excellent even burn. I am sorry that UST sold out to General Cigar, with Great products like this they didn't need to!!

Almost as good as s**

This is one fine cigar! Great with a single malt or rich red (Merlot or Cab), especially out on the patio on a Vegas evening. This cigar is just right and it's the same way I like my men - rich, full-bodied, great mouth feel, and makes me close my eyes in pleasure.

A good choice for stocking

This is one excellent cigar. With its executive look and pleasent aroma, peel off the ring and keep everyone guessing. This is one favorite that will always have a place in my humidor.

Great full bodied smoke

With much excitement I received my box of Astral TVS Toro's. I tried to let them settle in the humidor but their dark oily wrapper beckoned me to try one that very same day. The firm box press was in a way too much and I saw some of the sticks had splits in the wrapper where the creases were. I also noticed some of the caps were a bit loose. I have enjoyed 3 since that day and each one was the same. The smoke was very thick and the draw was perfect. The aroma had a heady, rich smell of fresh cut cedar. There was a very nice full bodied flavor without a trace of harshness. The finish was tart with notes of wet freshly tooled leather. The ash was white with silver streaks and hung on like a pitbull with a raw steak. The burn became a bit uneven toward the middle but evened out nicely down the home stretch. The only caution I have to give about this fantastic smoke is to watch out for your fingers, youll smoke this one right down to the a nub.

My new first-stringer

Got one of these in a sampler pack, and before I had finished it my fat behind was on its way to the local stogie shop to see if that hadn't just been a fluke. It wasn't. I love this segar, in spite of just a touch of a burn problem. And luckily, the company recently decided to offer this stick at 2-for-1 for a limited time, so I stocked up. Unfortunately, if Famous had any of these 2-for-1ers in stock, they didn't see fit to offer them up on the web. I was able to get 'em elsewhere for $52 a box, vs. the $100 they're going for here. But a) Famous is still the cigar dealer of record in this country, and b) if I could afford $100 a box I'd be buying these anyway. I am writing here, by the way, only about the Pyramide--the other sizes/shapes are good, but not superb as this one is.

Grand Cigar

This is one great cigar!! I ordered them because the description sounded good. The taste is grand. The construction is grand. Everything about this cigar says quality smoke. I like my whiskey straight sour mash, my women bold and my cigars full bodied. This one is great sitting in my sailboat, after dinner or down in Houston listening to Western Swing. I think I'll have another!!

Terrific Find

A great addition to my smoking choices. I really like the excaliber persado and the talanga is a very close second. As a former seracher of padron anniversarios these two easier to find and less expensive alternatives are well worth the money
