Great smoke

Great taste, Great quick smoke when time is short. Would smoke these as everyday quickies!

This review was written about Baccarat Connies 10/8 by Steve of California on July 15, 2008

Absolutely Fine Smoke

I have smoked several Baccarat cigars with the natural wrapper, but finally got around to trying the maduro rothschild and all I can say is "Wow"! This little baby kicks butt! I've paid several times the price of this cigar for 'top of the line premiums', and the Baccarat Maduro Rothschild can go toe to toe with the vast majority of them. A truly enjoyable smoke, and one I'll be seeking out in the future.

Great First Smoke

I consider myself a full-body cigar guy, but when it comes to my first smoke of the day I always reach for a Baccarat. It delivers volumes of smooth but flavorful smoke, with just a hint of spice that really satisfies. The sweet cap goes great with coffee, and the consistently flawless construction means my first cigar will always be a good one, morning after morning. Simply put, Baccarat is the perfect morning cigar. These will always be in my humidor. Thanks, Famous, for carrying the Toros and letting me know when they're in.

Fantastic

I bought a box of Baccarat Claro Rothschild. Fantastic appearance. Very luscious green wrapper. I usually like maduros but this claro was a great contrast. Very mild and sweet flavor. I love the sweetened cap that is Baccarat's signature. Very smooth. Great aroma. Nice rich smoke but not overpowering. I had one kid walk by and say, "That dude's cigar is GREEN!!" It was great. I will definitely buy them again. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a change of pace. Just when you need something other than your usual maduro or natural. Try this claro. You will be glad what you did. Smell what you've been missing.

Best all around cigar I've ever had, every time

I started smoking these in Baghdad last year and these are great tasting and enjoyable cigars. They often beat higher priced cigars in consistency, flavor and quality. Hard to beat!

Definition of Smooth

These have been a favorite of mine for a while, but they passed the true test when I grabbed a bunch for a bachelor party. These were a hit among all the guys, from seasoned smokers, to a few first-timers! They burn well, draw easily and fully, and are incredibly smooth.

Hope last review is wrong.

Just ordered these cigars and am sorry to see that they have a bad review. Guess I will have to judge for myself. It's possible the previous reviewer doesn't know his cigars, sure hop so.

Disappointing....

Not quite the flavor that I enjoy in a low price cigar...

Nice Golf Course Smoke

I have gotten several 5 packs of these and enjoy smoking these out on the golf course. They usually burn even and are a good, mild cigar.

Listed as mild but very good flavor

I was surprised by the Mild designation. Very good flavor from the maduro I smoked (got them in a sampler). Something I'll look for in the future as an everyday cigar. Good price too.

This review was written about Baccarat Rothschild (10) by mgbarker54 of Yuma, AZ on January 6, 2008

Decent

This wrapper has a sweet taste to it, which is quite nice. Draw is a bit loose, and had a few veins. This cigar is a bit overpriced not by much. This is a great beginner like the second one someone should have. The smoke is very simple and extremely light, with just a very slight hint of sweetness/sugar. Finish is pretty much clean, and every now and then again a taste of sweetness. Burns very nicely, it need a bit of help once in a while but if left alone would be fine and most of the time fixed it self. This great paired with water, I started off drinking a very light green tea and even this was a bit over powering. Over all a decent cigar, one that even an experienced smoker could have out on the course or just when in need of something light and relaxing.

Not A Happy Camper

After reviving a humidor of Baccarat Coronas, I thought these would be great for my short rides to and from work. The draw is so loose, it feels as if these were rolled with hands in mittens. Each and every one of these would burn out at half-smoke even right after a good draw. No more for me.

This review was written about Baccarat Connies 10/8 by Steven A of California on October 17, 2007

Maybe Too Mild

Draw was great, stayed lit right out of the package. So mild it was almost tasteless, if that's possible.

Great Mild Everyday Smoke

Great mild smoke, burns and draws good.

staple smoke for over 5 years

Good, affordable smoke. However, I have noticed a slight slip in quality control this year especially in the wrapper. Also they need to be "cured" in your humidor for a week or so.

Morning breakfast treat

As a normal practice, I let my new arrivals get accustomed to their surroundings before I lite em up. Tomorrow's breakfast could not come fast enough. I had to see if these Baccarat's were as good as advertised. It was a real treat. Smooth and mellow with a discrete taste. Just the right amount of fragrance for a morning smoke. Burn and draw were perfect. When I golf I demand a more powerful smoke, but this was breakfast on the patio and there was no one to impress but me. I was not disappointed.

This review was written about Baccarat Rothschild 3 Pack by Ray of West Michigan on July 16, 2007

Disappointed

I tried this cigar because it was reviewed very well as a good inexpensive starter cigar. I tried them only based on this and because of the mild flavor. I felt that the flavor was too mild and that they smoked very dry with no flavor. The sweet tip vanished as soon as you lit the cigar up. I have tried 3 and I have given one out and everyone was disapointing with all of the wrapper leaves fell apart half-way through. Note that these cigars were kept in a humidor for weeks before trying.

This review was written about Baccarat Luchadores (10) by Chad of Wisconsin on April 17, 2007

Not Impressed

Too mild and sort of blah tasting to me. The wrapper is entirely too delicate, the end caps all split either upon cutting or about 1/3 through smoking. Am ageing the rest without the cellophane to see if that improves the end-cap splitting problem. Highly Overrated cigar in my opinion.

This review was written about Baccarat Rothschild 3 Pack by Arcadia Point of 472.1LMR on April 11, 2007

Delicious!

The secret to this line of cigars is to stay with the smaller ring gauges. the ideal one being the #1. The best part of these are the wrappers which impart one of the most delicious toasty toffee favors ever when aged a few weeks. Staying with the smaller gauge allows the wrapper to come through the slightly peppery filler which gives a nice balance to the sweetness. I've smoked some hideously expensive sticks but I've yet to find one that I enjoy as intensely as I do a properly aged Baccarat. Perfect for the noobs as well.

Great Quickie Smoke in a Little Cigar

Pleasurable little smoke with Rich to mild taste, excellent draw, excellent burn, delicate ash and very good even construction throughout the box. Have to lock the boxes in my humidors to keep my sons from smoking 'em up. The wives and girlfriends love the aroma.

Disappointed

Been wanting to try the Baccarat for a while and was able to purchase this with a deal and, well, was very dissappointed. Did not like the taste of the wrapper and it went downhill from there. Will give the rest away.

Quickie but a goodie

Good quick cigar. Gets a little hot if you go more than halfway. Just slow down the puffing and it's fine.

Nice Smoke

I just had my first one the other day during lunch break. If I had more time I might have lit up another. It was a very pleasing smoke. I thought it had nice construction, consistent draw, mild aroma, and puffs of creamy smoke. I would recommend you give this one a try. 2 Thumbs Up! Can't wait to try the Maduros next!

This review was written about Baccarat Rothschild 5 Pack by Kevin Brown of DE on March 3, 2007

My favorite

These are the best cigars period. I like variety so I whenever I order a box I also order some 5 packs or samplers to try and I always come back to these. By the way...if you want a great $6 cigar, buy these from the guy in Tampa. I accidently ordered the maduro and when I called you were so incredibly nice, I felt bad exchanging them for the natural.

This review was written about Baccarat Double Corona by Jeff Weiss of NJ on January 18, 2007

Blah! Will not buy again

This smoke was disappointing. It was sweet and peppery, but mild. The smoke virtually tasteless. After smoking this I felt the need to relight a real stick. No real finish, No real aftertaste. Will not buy again.

Honduran Hidden treasure!

A genuine hand made treasure for the money, and in my humble oinion , the maduro wrapper really blends nicley with the Baccarat sweetness. The volumes of smoke are quite pleasing!

This review was written about Baccarat Belicoso by Tony "Bones" Meriam of South Dakota on January 11, 2007

One of my favorites and thats saying a lot

I really do love this cigar. The look of it is a sporty yet classy look and I love the slogan of the game. The taste is like nothing else, I love a good cigar taste and as far as flavors go I usually am not a huge fan. This cigar does an incredible job of balancing the flavor on the wrapper and the good leaf taste. The draw is not very tight but I will tell you this, it works perfectly for this cigar. Some times when the draw is lose I do not like it but it fits this smoke. I always, always have a few of these in my humidor and I am going to start buying boxes of these because of the frequency that I smoke these.

Always in my Box's

My humidors always have a Baccarat in them and I always travel w/ one because they are perfect for someone new too cigars. Plus I still love them. These are my out in the garden smokes. Sure I'll get a bad wrapper, maybe every 20th one or so, but no big.

Still my favorite after 18 months

In November, 2005 I raved about the Rothschild 5x50 Maduro after 4 boxes. Now I can say, after an additional 12 boxes, that I still haven't had a bad one. Oh, yes, every now and then one doesn't burn perfectly evenly, but every one has had a smooth draw, lots of smoke, and great taste right up until the time I burn my fingers. I look forward all day to sitting outside with my cigar and having one hour of peace and let go of the day's stress. The Baccarat is my unwinder. If anyone has found a better cigar for a buck seventy-five, I would be surprised.

This review was written about Baccarat Rothschild by Harold Walter of TN on September 15, 2006

Not very GOOD!!!

I've heard alot of rave about these being a great cigar. I have to say not to my taste. At first it had a realy good sweet flavor, but after about 1/4 of the cigar the flavor was gone just tasted burnt I had to lay it down, maybe I just got a bad one dont know will not try again for a while.

This review was written about Baccarat Luchadores by Eric of  on September 14, 2006

One of the best buys for a mild cigar

I've been smoking these for several years now even though I am always trying something new. The consistency, flavor and price keeps me coming back again for this fine cigar. In my opinion they taste even better after taking them out of the wrapper and putting them in the humidor for at least a month. For the money I don't think you can get a better mild cigar. I rate it 9.5.

Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

It's true . . . . sometimes you don't get what your pay for and with the Baccarat Rothschild you get much, much more than you paid for. What a great little smoke. This would have to be my everyday cigar if I was going to have one, but I like diversity more so I don't have a "single" everyday cigar, but this sure is a cigar I COULD smoke everyday.

This review was written about Baccarat Rothschild by John Buckley of New Hampshire on July 24, 2006

no thanks

Terrible burn and taste, might as well buy Swisher Sweets if you like the flavored tip. Can't always judge a cigar by price but you get what you pay for with this one!

Terrific "Utility" smoke

These #1's are a great everyday "utility" smoke. Good enough to share with novice smoker friends and perhaps good enough to convert those friends into becoming Famous Smoke aficionados.

Sprightly Little Sweetheart

I met this cute little college intern at the CubeTech INC copy center. She was on an exchange program from Scotland, and told me how much she missed wandering through the green grass meadows and smelling the fresh, salty ocean air. She reminded me of a pixie girl from the fairyland of Lewis Carroll's enchanted storybooks. She was only 4'6" tall, but almost reached 5' in her decadent footwear. We talked all afternoon; but when 4:45PM rolled around, she closed our interaction professionally at the center's entrance. As we returned to our respective cubes, it felt awkward walking behind her, smelling her complex, sweet European perfumes and seeing her broad yet tightly lined up gate. In our conversation, she had explained that because of her small size, it was easy for her to walk in high heels and she loved it. It was like seeing two water balloons filled with Jell-O, the way she pranced forward, never straying from the imaginary chalk line centered between the cube rows. As she entered her cube, she smiled broadly, looking deeply and unflinchingly into my eyes. She told me how enjoyable our chat was and how much she was looking forward to seeing me again! CubeTech rocks. It's no wonder CubeTech stock has doubled in the last 6 Mo.

good cigar for the money

Baccarat makes a quality cigar for the money. I have had the Baccarat Churchill and Baccarat The Game, both quality smokes for the price.

This review was written about Baccarat Churchill by David of San Antonio, Texas on May 5, 2006

Good cigar for the price

I've been smoking the natural curchills for several years now. They are MILD (if you're looking for a full-bodied cigar, look elsewhere), so no complaining about the body. I've NEVER had one with a bad construction, poor draw, stagnant taste, or stale aftertaste. However, they are not aged long enough, and six months in a humidor dramatically improves the flavor - I learned this by accident. The sweet taste comed from the sealer gum at the end of cigar, and is not a side-effect of the filler. Good stick at a decent price.

Continued from: Alot of Cigar for 2 Bucks

I failed to mention something in my last review of Baccarat Double Corona Maduro. I just lit one up and realized that this is also, " ONE BEAUTIFUL LOOKING CIGAR." It is virtually veinless, and has a smooth and silky,(oily), perfect Maduro wrapper. I just can't say enough about this cigar. I guess that's why it has survived for over 125 years. I can't speak for the other sizes, but THIS one is a steal. If you like mild cigars, do yourself a favor and try a box. Oh yea, the sweet candy like taste is only in the cap, once that wears away it is much better.

Alot of cigar for 2 bucks

Baccarat Double Corona Maduro is a hell of alot of cigar for 2 bucks. 7.5 X 50 ring, nice dark maduro wrapper with a sweet fruity/nutty taste. Mild and delicious. Even burn, effortless draw and good consistancy. Can't get all that in many cigars for that price. And long filler to boot ! I will definitly be buying more of these babies.

Great cigar at a bargain price...

I've enjoyed cigars off and on for more than twenty years. While I'm no expert by any means, the Baccarat Churchill is an incredibly mild cigar, with a good draw, excellent construction and just a hint of sweetness to the head. While the maduro wrappers seem to hold together the best, I prefer the taste of the naturals. If you're concerned about expense...give this cigar a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Consistently Good

Just finished my first box. Of all the other brands of cigars that I have smoked over the past year, the Baccarat Rothschild has been the most consistent of all. I can always count on having an enjoyable smoke when I light one up. Burn is even, draw is easy and the taste although mild is always the same.

My Favorite Evening Cigar

Baccarat has become my favorite everyday cigar - A Natural in the afternoon at work, a Sumatra when outside playing, and a Maduro in the evening just before bed. The 5X50 Maduro is so flavorful and so mild that I burn my fingers at the end. I am on my fourth box of these Maduros and every one of them has been well constructed with a smooth draw and an appropriate amount of smoke. The taste is a 10. Try them if you like flavorful but mild to medium Maduros.

A bit stronger than my normal smoke but I am in love. Tasty, good draw, even burn and very little bite. Adding to my favorites.

aaaaaaaaaaaaah!! Smooth and full of flavor

Excellent little one, ejoyed 20 minutes of a good smooth and tasty smoke. Most amatures dont like these cigars probably because they prefer stronger ones but honestly for me, a rookie, I love it!!

Disappointed so far

Won via auction the Maduro Bellicoso. So far, I have smoked two with disappointment. First one was plugged so draw was horrible. Second one, again draw was weak. This is a rather large ringed cigar so I wonder if that has something to do with it. Another flaw was lightening the cigar. I might just stick with smaller ringed cigars. And yes, it's mild. Not much taste. I'll keep the others in the humidor and let them settle a month or two before I try again.

This review was written about Baccarat Belicoso by Steve of Los Angeles on August 25, 2005

mild, sweet, wonderful everyday smoke

I've been looking for a good, cheap everyday cigar and this is the best I've found for under $2. They are a mild smoke with a sweet cap and very nice aroma. The burn is sometimes a bit uneven, but not a big problem. Smokers who like strong cigars will not like this but for those of us who like a nice, sweet, mild, even smoke; this one is a real winner.

Great cigars...just age them a little.

I purchased a box on good reviews and an even better price. I was a tad concerned when I smoked the first one and was disappointed by the lack of flavor...even for a mild cigar. But after only a few days in my humidor they started to develop a nice taste and character. They are getting better by the day and I am really enjoying them now. A wonderful draw, a good even burn, and no plugs so far. I terrific cigar that you can afford to enjoy every day.

Good Value, Even Better Cigar

This is an extremely enjoyable everyday cigar. It is most similar to some aromatics, without the lingering aftertaste to accompany it. It's pleasant odor is very inviting and I am able to enjoy mine indoors without bystanders negative comments. It is well constructed and has a nice even burn. I have experienced some moderate problems with consistancy, but for the price I can not complain. All in all this cigar is an exceptionally mild smoke, and the enjoyment quotient is very high for such an affordable stick.

This review was written about Baccarat Churchill by Matthew A. Yerkovich of Sarasota, FL on January 28, 2005

Good value for the money

A good value cigar. Built well with a nice draw. A Mild, very affordable stick that you can smoke every day without destroying your bank account. Women like them and that's how I get away with smoking sticks in my house (She will even smoke one). I age mine out of the cello in the humidor with a cedar block. On occassion I have run into a plug and and uneven burn but for the vast majority of times I've burned one there's been no problems. This cigar isn't for the full body smokers, you won't even taste it. This cigar isn't everything but it doesn't deserve some of the negitive reviews that it has. For it's cost it is a great cigar and some people maybe expecting too much for the money.

This review was written about Baccarat Churchill by John of Albany, NY on December 26, 2004

Not a bargain cigar at any price!!

This was one of the worst cigars I have ever had. Mild flavor should not mean tasteless, the flavor of this is what I think rolled up newspaper would taste like. The burn was terrible, cigar kept going out and if you smoked hard enough to keep it lit it burned extremely hot! Would not waste my money on another of these at any price.

Excellent cigar, BUT I'm not a mild cigar smoker

This was an all around excellent cigar with a superb appearance(perfect to impress the ladies) BUT I personally am not a big fan of mild cigars. I do recommend this cigar to anyone who likes mild cigars because it had perfect construction, excellent appearance, nice draw and flawless burn.

Try The MADUROS!!

I started off with the naturals, thinking that this was the best damn cigar and all i ever needed. One day my local snobbish cigar retailer ran out of them and all they had left were the maduros. So I tried it and so to say.... These kick ass!!! Fans of Baccarat if you have not tried the maduros.... Take my advice, they're wonderful!!

I'll take it....

There are times when I like a bit of sweetness in a cigar.. and this one is perfect! Had a light honey like flavor that wasn't overpowering like many flavored cigars are... plus tasted like a cigar too! Smooth, burned perfectly, tasted great, I was a happy man for a while. Oh, and look at that price!! Good deal...

best $2.00 cigar on the block

Just tried my first box of these fine cigars here at Famous-smoke and am I impressed. The wrapper is a lovely fine-veined golden color, and the draw, ash and taste (mild) are the best I've found in a low-price cigar. The draw finishes with a hint of spice/pepper on the back of the tongue, but the first half of the cigar is a wonderful thing. These sweethearts are now on my "Favorites" list.

narrow head causes tough draw

Nice mild cigar but narrow head causes it to clog easily with tar. Had to keep snipping off 1/16" of head perodically in order to hold a decent draw. Otherwise, a fine cigar for the price, with a slightly spicy finish on the tongue.

Very mild with a boring single note flavor that tends to get bitter towards the end. Good consistent burning, but I would think twice if soneone offered me one for free.
