Change name to 'Inferiores'

I had a 5-pack of the Bayamo Superiores Natural 2 years ago and really enjoyed everything about it from the burn, taste and construction to the aroma. Then suddenly, this cigar was dropped from the Famous offerings. When it recently became available I bought a box in Maduro wrapper and waited for the cigar I remembered. Unfortunately, these are nothing like they were before. They will not stay lit even after using a DrawPoker on them; they are almost solid to the feel. I've had them in my humidor now about 2months and tried one again this weekend and sadly, there is no improvement. I thought about calling customer service after the first five but after buying many cigars from them over the past few years I guess I can 'eat' a little loss. However, I am disappointed in the quality control of this brand and believe they should be re-named Bayamo Inferiores.

Not Satisfied

Four out of the first six I've tried, I couldn't finish. The main problem was the draw. It was like trying to draw up a thick milkshake through a thin straw (headrush). Had a few constuction problem and also had a hard time keeping them lit. Otherwise a nice aroma. Will be giving away to make room in humidor.

not worth the money

very thin wrapper which crackes and separates- from the first stick out of the box to the last. Taste and flavor mediocer. Probably the worst I've gotten from Famous. I smoked them all and did't return them because I took the risk of buying a pig in a poke and therefore accepted the responsibility for my order.

Superb Taste At This Price Point

An excellent, flavourful smoke, very reminiscent of Montecristo "Fer De Lance" naturals, but about twice the cigar for a little less money. Interesting combination of creamy and tangy flavours, even burning, and with a pleasant core aftertaste.

An excellent mild-medium smoke.

I was given one of these about a year ago and have since bought two boxes for myself. These are very well constructed and attractive cigars with a somewhat woody taste. A bit of spice and strong notes of cedar on the palate and a substantial volume of smoke. They burn quite evenly and have an easy draw. These remind me of the old Don Juan original blend. There are also similarities to Astral, the new Honduran Por Larrana and even a faint memory the Cuban Cohiba. For the price, this is a very hard cigar to beat and it certainly deserves trying at least a 5 pack.

a smooth sleeper awaiting your discovery

extremely mild yet intriguing. wonderfully slow burning. has an elegant yet funky hand manufactured look and feel and burns slowly. I will hazzard a guess: vanilla bean and a mild "tree bark" aroma. i think i'll light one up right now. good bargain.

Excellent Value

I've just recently changed my smoking habits to include your cigar products. Needless to say, my spending of almost $4 a pack for cig's is ending. Your products are shipped to me within a day or so, and my humidors are going to be filled with Famous Smokes. I particulary enjoyed the Bayamo line of cigar. Keep up the excellent work. Thank you.

Bayamo got me hook, line, and sinker!

Holy Cow Batman! No need to break out the utility belt, just give the bad guys one of these smokes and hell be your bud. I had my second Bayamo a couple days ago and now have a new favorite cigar. These cigars absolutely ROCK and stack up to any cigar on the market. I am a mild guy, but like some flavor and this stick has both as well as great value. Im giving away much of my current humidor stock and will fill it with a few boxes of Bayamo. Thanks Famous Smoke!

Great Smoke

A great smoke for the price. The Warpper was a little blemish but it had great taste, a good draw, an even burn, and produced great smoke. The only drawback was the cigar burned to fast so the smoking experience was over too quickly. I have found my new everyday smoke!

Good Cee-Gar!!

This is a very good cigar for the money. I have tried the robusto maduro and have grown to really enjoy them. The first couple I wasnt sure about but overall for the money, this is an outstanding deal! I have had a few of these that burn uneven but this is a minor problem considering the price. I will be keeping these on hand for sure.

Absolutely Awesome

Got a Maduro Robusto in a sampler. Put in the humidor for a couple weeks and decided to give it a shot. It lit easily, the draw was a pleasure,the flavor was full and creamy while still being an overall medium bodied smoke. The construction and burn were nearly flawless. Then I looked at the Famous price for a box. Found my new everyday smoke for that price. Anyone can feel very comfortable offering this cigar to a friend. I smoked it until was 3/4 of inch long and burnt my fingers.

Bayamo Robusto Natural

I'm not going to get into a ton of details about this smoke. All I will say is I will stack this up against any much, much higher priced stogie anytime. It is truly an awesome cigar and for this price you simply cannot go wrong. Trust me, if you like a mild, flavorful cigar like Macanudo, do yourself a favor and try a Bayamo. You won't be disappointed. I just ordered a box (on sale no less) and will be back for more. THANKS FAMOUS!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Poorly made, bitter, disappointing.

Tried the Bayamo Robusto and was very impressed. But the Perfeccion was disappointing. Poor construction, draw was too easy, and there was a lingering bitterness. The cigar offers a full plume of white smoke, but that is little consolation. I'd give the cigar an overall rating of 4 or less.

Great Flavor

This is a nice, spicey, full bodied smoke. Very complex, has some creamy flavor under the spice. It is a best buy for the money.

loose roll, easy draw, average flavor, rough finsh

This is an above average $2.00 cigar. Seemingly dry and loosly wrapped though. This cigar may better with age in the humidor.

WOW!

Wow! Not what I was expecting when I got this one in a robusto sampler pack. Nice burn, lots of smoke, good consistency all the way to the very end. But, best of all was the flavor. Smooth, but at the same time heavy witih espresso, nutmeg. Just an all around good taste if you like a cigar with a lot of rich heavy flavor. Compares well with Vegas Robaino from Cuba for a much lower cost. My humidor is full of other smokes but I am ordering a box today! Thanks FSS!

I was also suprised...

Got this in a sampler. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly suprised. Tasty smoke. Burned well almost ro the end. Nice even draw. This is not a big powerful smoke but flavorful. Enjoyable none the less.

what a pleasant surprise

Is it just me, or is this cigar surprisingly good for the price? I got it in the robusto sampler pack and it was the only one that turned my head. very pleasant, distinctive flavor and a good draw and burn.

kept going out

Full taste, mellow, compares well to higher priced smokes. However, darned thing kept going out and after 5 relights before I was half way I just gave up. I won't be back to this size, but will try my luck with other sizes before I abandon the brand altogether - I've still got some others from the sampler.

Not bad,

I bought a box of robustos and found the construction to be very consistent along with the draw. Have not found one that had a plug yet, BUT, the flavor is just not there for me. They get a little better past the halfway point. Very good ash too. I think this is a "beginner" stick.

FANTASTIC VALUE!

I have been making my way through the sampler and I am pleased to report that this brand of cigar is a winner! I have smoked the Robusto (already ordered a box), the Lonsdale and the Perfeccion. Every style was equal in quality, burn and taste. I am impressed. I have been an on again off again cigar smoker for the last 30 years and have tried virtually everything worth smoking out there. I can say that these cigars are definitelty worth a try at least as a sampler purchase if not a BOX from the get go! The burn was perfect, construction seemed top notch, taste was mild to medium with a consistent robust flavor throughout, draw was perfecto! The cigar comes into its own about 3/4 of the way through which is impressive at this price. Ash was also impressive. I logged a good 3 inches on my Perfeccion before it dropped away, and the cigar continued its even burn till the savory end! For the price, you could do much, much worse!
