One of my favorite

I found these by accident a year ago and since have tried to always have some in the humidor

More like Margarine-y, but not too bad..

Ok, I probably wouldn't buy a whole box. But if someone gave me some I wouldnt turn them down. Someone else said "buttery" but my wife said "more like margarine-y". Nonetheless, a positive experience. Some subtle butter and nut flavors, hints of earthiness. Smell is not displeasing. Id give it a 3.5 out of 5. My wife would give it a 6.5 out of 10. She normally loves Padrons, Fuentes, and CAOs. I love those plus anything by Rocky just to give you a frame of reference.

Well worth the time

Very nice cigar. It is smooth and not overwhelming. I always keep some in my humidor.

Burn, Draw, Taste consistantly superb!

I have not had a disapointment yet with this cigar. From 1st draw to the ring the flavor gets better. A permanant fixture in my humiidor and pocket.

OK Smoke Good for the Money

Having read about the Carlos Torano products for some time I finally decided to try them for myself. I chose the Exodus '59 Silver for its supposed full bodied flavor but found it to be somewhat lacking. It had a nice even burn but went out several times. Rolled very tightly as well. Good flavor but not great.

One of My Favorites

I like to challenge myself with the samplers that are offered, and after several trials, I ended up favoring two cigars: the CAO Gol! and the Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Silver. I have never been disappointed by this Robusto- the burn, taste, smoke density, and draw are flawless, and it makes it hard for me to want anything else. Just a great cigar, and it's less expensive than the CAO!

BEST OF THE BEST

I HAVE NEVER SMOKED A BETTER CIGAR THAN THIS. FROM BEGGINING TO END EVERY PUFF IS FULL OF GREAT SPICEY FLAVORS. CARLOS TORANO MAKES A LOT OF EXCELLENT CIGARS BUT FOR MY TASTE THIS IS THE BEST.

Butter

As a long time fan of Torano, I could not pass up the 3 box lot on the auction site. Nobody else wanted them. A mild to medium smoke that is truly worthy of the silver label that is wrapped around it. They have lots of flavor and are buttery smooth. If you like the Casa Torano, you'll love these. Peace

Silver Painted Box Tainted Cigars

I have ordered this cigar several times. This time the trade mark silver painted box was apparently never dried properly and adversely affected the taste of the cigars inside it.

Mild body with tons of sweet flavor

This is a gorgeous, firm, oily stick with pre-light flavor of banana liqueur and sweet curry! Lighting up brings sweet honest aged tobacco flavors and aroma. Draw is superb, yielding lots of chewy-good smoke. Burn is even, ash long and strong. Flavors eventually develop balanced hints of chocolate spice. A wonderful cigar. Glad I got a box while they're here. On first experience, I'm rating this stick a 92.

Over all not a bad cigar

Nice taste, good aroma, uneven burn on most I have smoked.

Great after dinner smoke

I'm on my second box of Exodus Silver Churchills and the complexity of flavor always leaves me wanting to light up another one. The only drawback is that the criollo wrapper is very fragile and must be handled with care. A small price to pay for all that flavor.

Too Perfect

This is like the perfect date. But, is this a girl you want to have a lasting relationship with? This one will make you buy all new furniture and worry about the toilet seat being up or down. Where is the personality in this cigar? Try a cigar that is willing to take some chances. Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent cigar in every way; but it's just a little too perfect for my taste.

Flavorful, spicy, billows of rich smoke. A winner

Wow! Love at first puff. This outstanding, well made cigar is made wonderful by the spice and everthing nice from its criollo wrapper. Third box, and every single cigar has great draw, quality construction and terrific taste. Glad they left Cuba!

Carlos Torano Exodus Silver Robusto

I tried numerous 5-packs in 2005 and This cigar is in my opinion the Cigar of the year for '05!The flavor is very rich, with cedar and bursts of citrus! The criollo wrapper makes your mouth water and you'll wish that cigar never burns out!

Perfectly Average smoke

I really don't "get" the glowing reviews of what is actually a fine, run-of-the-mill, everyday cigar. Like all Torano's, the construction is reliably good, with maybe 2-4 tight rolls per box. Every now and then, one canoes on me, and I've had a few wrappers flake apart, but the construction is generally better than you pay for. The taste is excellent, not as complex as some reviewers claim, but a good, solid cigar. Occassionally they leave an after-taste and or turn bitter, but not often if you've aged them properly. Guys, this is a fine cigar, and at Famous' prices, it's worth every penny, but let's not exaggerate. If you want a VSG or Padron Anniversario, go pay for it. For myself, I'll stick with these or the Exodus 1959's and figure I've got my money's worth in a nice smoke, out on the deck after work, with a glass of Scotch and my dog at my feet. On the scale, I give it a solid "8".

Quite possibly my favorite - regardless of price!

Got one of these (Exodus Silver) in a Torano sampler. The Tribute was included too (black label) and was excellent with the darkest, oilest wrapper I have ever seen - smoked very nicely. However, the "silver" was absolutely amazing! It was a robusto, so I thought how will a longer cigar taste? Well, no need to worry as I bought a box of longer length and have been completely satisfied. They are full of flavor and body, but smoke very smoothly, are never harsh or bitter, burn evenly, draw nice etc., etc. I have smoked quite a few other brands costing much more (montecristo & cohiba etc) but would rather have one of these ANY DAY! I think it must have something to do with the criollo wrappers, as I realy enjoy the CAO criollo's too! Just so you don't think I'm a Torano homer, I did have one in the sampler that was very harsh, bitter, actually tasted like dirt, and I would deem complete garbage - but unfortunately don't remember which one of the 4-5 models it was or I'd trash it big time here (just know it wasn't the Tribute or Silver). Buy these with confidence as they are super cigars at a (relative) value price!

What a great buy!

I actually hesitate to say how much I really love these smokes for fear of driving the price up on the auction site, but I also feel a duty to let others know how good these are. I like a fuller bodied cigar, and these really measure up in my book.

Well-made, flavorful, slightly sweet and spicy

I love this cigar, the Criollo wrapper adds a whole new level of taste to this Silver Edition of Toranos Exodus 1959 line. Excellent construction, nice even burn, consistent taste box after box, I always keep some on hand both for myself and well-deserving friends.

Mild, excellent smoke. Highly recommended!

Slow, even burn accompanied with mild flavor (not harsh). Exquisite quality; must try to appreciate. Great with your favorite single-malt.

Friends, this is what smoking cigars is all about!

I have all manner of cigars in my humidors- Montecristo, H.Upmann, R&J, La Gloria Cubana, Arturo Fuente, etc. I smoke at least one Torano Silver Anniversary daily, and for special occasions, or when an old friend visits, this is what gets lit. I have yet to present a Silver Anniversary to someone and not have them marvel at the exquisite construction and appearance of these fine cigars. I have representatives of all of the Torano line in my humi, and without a doubt they are a glowing testament to the torchedor's art. Perfect construction, beautiful wrappers, elegant labels. And they're not just looks- the Silver Anniversary is a full-bodied smoke on par with Cohiba and La Gloria, but much smoother, more consistent, and definitely the most attractive. They are without a doubt my #1 pick of all super premium cigars!

Consistantly Good

Of all the Torano products, the Exodus Silver Torpedo Especial is my favorite cigar. It is more consistant - in my experience - than either the 1916 Cameroon or Reserva Selection torpedo offerings. It has a smooth coffee and leather taste in a medium body with good balance. Generally, the construction on these cigars are exceptional. You can't go wrong having these in your humidor.

fantastic bargain

I bought a box of these because I had heard some good things. The advice was right. I normally smoke R&J's from cuba, these are darn close, and much cheaper.

This is an OK cigar, but

This cigar had a short ash, that was more black than white. It has a strong flavor, which gets stronger towards the end. Construction was not the best, it started to burn unevenly in the middle and went out.

Another quality line from Torano

Good burn with a nice draw and strong ash. A very affordable good choice for an everyday smoke.

wow, another hit from Carlos Torano

This is the second time I have tried something new from them this year.
First box was the Signature. They were great.
This box is just as good, but different.
Just like the Sigs, they have flawless construction. They are rolled perfect and PACKED with tobacco but draw and burn like a dream.
Medium bodied with light spice and and earthy aroma.
VERY highly recommended.
Torano is making some of the best cigars out of Nicaragua bar none.
