reminescent of grandpas stogies

the Deseo Zen reminds me of cigars my grandfather used to smoke. I mean big billowing clouds of smoke and a choking stink that even the family dog would run from.
That being said, the Deseo Zen is constructed ok, the burn is fairly consistent, grey-white ash that dropped around 1/2-3/4 of an inch, somewhat firm. the flavor is medium to full, an earthy, wooden, musty dank aftertaste. The Deseo Zen is a Manly, Kick you in the ***, slap you and call you sally stick... There's a reason my grandfather smoked sticks like this, back then they had no sense of taste.. This cigar is best smoked with the boys, playing poker in some dimly lit backroom somewhere. That is this cigar's attitude and it pulls it off nicely...try 5 first, these might not be to your liking pansy ***.....

Disappointing cigar

Ashy taste, harsh aftertaste. There are much better cigars available for the same price or less on this site. I won't buy this one again.

Another winner but do try Bahia Trinidad

I hope these are not going to dissapear too? They are another well made, great tasting cigar.Maybe not quite as flavoursome as the Bahia Trinidad but they smack of class.

great smoke

I'm on my fifth 5-pack and haven't found one that didn't burn perfectly. The taste is full and never harsh. The deseo burns very slow and doesn't go out in 30 seconds---great cigar.

They May Have Been Good At One Time, But...

Every one knows that Tony Borhani cigars rank among some of the better cigars out there and I suspect that maybe these were OK at one time. As an everyday cigar smoker for the past 15 years, I can't remember the last time that I had a cigar that tasted so badly that I had to toss them in the garbage. These Deseo cigars were well constructed, but tasted as if they had been stored in a warehouse for a very long time. They actually stunk up my humidor! I seldom trash a cigar in a review, but these are really bad cigars and even at these low prices I think they are a total waste of money.

Maybe I got a bad batch...

A papery harsh taste matched with an uneven burn, little or no discernible aroma and questionable construction. Seemed like a really cheap cigar trying to squeeze in on the profits on the lower rungs of the premium market.

Another Intriguing Smoke from Borhani

Nice looking cigar. Medium flavor, but mild aroma. Reminiscent of Bahia Vintage '98, but with a much better wrapper. The robusto smoked nice and even, with a good ash and easy draw. Will have to try the larger sizes around the campfire this summer.

This cigar reminds me of the El Rey Del Mundo brand, which I enjoy too.....good, and it is as they say, earthy, a hint of spice and cedar, nice aroma.
