Great tasty smoke!! Can't wait to have another

Bought a box of these on cigarmonster and was a little skeptical. The 1st one was delicious! Nice maduro wrapper. Haven't had another one yet but cant wait.

Great cigar ....these get better after they rest

These are great cigars after they sit for a little bit and for the price next to unbeatable .

Decent!

The description of these was scary but intriguing. When the price was right, I bit. Glad I did. Not as spicy as a Camacho or a CAO Brasilia or even as described but instead, a medium to full body and flavor with a great aroma. Reminded me most of a less intense Partagas Black or a more intense La Finca. If you can find it for a good price, BUY!!!

Decent cigar. Great price. Mine will sit for a bit

Excellent construction. A few were wrapped a bit tight, but draw is okay. Decent overall, spicy in flavor but not overpowering. Mine will sit in my humidor for a month or so. Should be worth the wait...

A great deal for a great cigar

I purchased these with the BOGO deal and split with my friend. He had raved about them after having them a few years back and when he found this wanted me to try. I am glad I did. A great cigar, especially considering they're $1.60 each! Not only are they strong, but not overpowering, they're also tasty. The fantastic box they come in is just a bonus when you consider the fantastic treats that await inside.

Terrible!

Worst box of cigars I've ever bought. Terrible draw on 3/4 of the box and the rest were just the worst tasting cigars I've tried to date. Don't waste your money...

Good , but over priced

I really enjoy this cigar. Love the size and taste. But,some canoe and burn uneven. Others are very hard to draw and wrapped to tight maybe. I also think that this stick is over priced.

Diabolically Delightful

I've heard that the draw is kind of tight so I used a wedge cutter right off the bat and suggest that you do the same. The wrapper is nice and smooth and looks very oily. The construction is pretty close to perfect as is the burn. There is a pleasant undertone of red pepper when you exhale through the nose. It's neither terribly spicy nor terribly complex. The cigar picks up a little more spice as you smoke but never gets overwhelming. This is a wonderful smoke if you are looking to transition your palate to the spicier side. I can see these getting nothing but better with age so I will let most of them sit in my humidor until next spring.

My go to daily smoke!

I cant say enough good things about this cigar. It is my daily smoke. I love to just kick back with a few beers and enjoy this creamy, earthy smoke. Perfect draw, and excellent consistancy. My only problem is that I didnt buy enough of them when FSS was running the buy one get one special!!! Cant wait until they decide to do it again. I will definitely be picking up 10 boxes of these gems!

A sensation of distinguished flavor & quality

The DIABLO brand is back and better than before, purchased 4 boxes bogo deal !!! A truly great smoke & great taste. You can't go wrong its a true winner. I would have purchased 4 boxes even if it was not a buy one get one free deal... Try them you won't be sorry..

An OK Cigar out of the box.

The draw is tight, not the worst I’ve had, but hard. This is a medium cigar with pepper flavors. The name may be to strong for the cigar. The flavor gets better and stronger as is burns down. Well constructed and does hold a good ash. I’ll let them age in the humidor for a few and check them again.

Great value. Good taste. Tough draw. Weak finish

For the money a great cigar. Taste at first is not that great, but gets better until finish. Draw is worst part about this cigar.

let'em sit

this is a great cigar for the price. bought 2 boxes in the yankee auction and fired one right up. not great, harsh, hot, and dirty tasting, let the rest sit in my cabinet humidor where i completly forgot them for about 6 months. i know that is alot of time for most people to leave a cigar but completly worth the wait. so i took some on a camping trip to pawn them off on some unsuspecting buddies and to my surprise they were excellent! like a totally different cigar, hints of earth, espresso, and black pepper throughout. now i am always thinking ahead a box at a time and letting these sleepers rest.

Nice... Can't wait to see what some time will do..

Got some of these in a split and couldn't wait to try one. These are some beautiful cigars which produce some nice ash and great aroma. The only problem I had with it was a slightly tight draw. I've heard with a few months of sitting in the humi they only improve. I may have a problem letting the ones I have age :)

Good Smoke

I enjoy the medium bodied, peppery flavor of this cigar. I got 2 boxes for the price of 1, which I think that is the price they should be all the time. Otherwise, I think they are overpriced.

This review was written about Diablo Pimiento by Ron of Peoria Illinois on April 8, 2008

Not Bad

These are not bad. Flavor is a medium not a full and was a bit harsh, but then they may need some time in the humi. A good deal with the 2fer offer, but an average deal otherwise.

Diablo

The best for the money!

This review was written about Diablo Gran Fuego by Gilbert of Hawaii on April 6, 2008

Awful

Draw is like sucking on a wet rag. Flavor is almost non-existent. Would not buy these again at any price

This review was written about Diablo Gran Fuego by Marvin B of Palmdale, CA on April 2, 2008

Quality Smoke

I bought a box of these with the BOGO deal FS had going on. Just received them this past week and took one out on the golf course with me today. A solid smoke... produces a great white ash, very light. My only gripe being that I enjoy a medium to full flavored cigar and I thought this would have a great taste based on what I'd read about it. It was a good taste, but not as good a taste as say the CAO Brazilia Amazon cigar. I'm going to let them age in my humidor for a while and see if it improves... I will still smoke every one of the 50 I got.

On Second Thought

I enjoy the Diablo cigars. I just got 2 boxes for the price of one and as far as I am concerned I stole them. These will always have a spot in one of my humidors!! Good deal at full price and fantastic deal at any other price!! Nice taste, even burn and totally enjoyable!!!

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!

Don't waste your money. Easily up there with the worst cigars I've ever had. Straight from the local kennel to the box.

Good Cigar

Got these on auction for about 1/3 the Famous price. Good little cigar, not sure I would pay the going rate but I think I got a bargin. Nice draw, good ash, very pleasent aroma, should have bid on 2 boxes.

This review was written about Diablo Pimiento by Rick of Illinois on January 11, 2008

Great cigar

I have tried many different "Premium" brand cigars and loved most. I got an Email about the Diablo being onsale and the write up looked good so I thought I would try them. I am HOOKED. They were the best cigar I have tried in a long time. Nice consistant burn, smooth, a little spicey. At the current price of about 2 bucks a stick I have found a new daily smoke.

great sticks

I found these cigars a few years ago and fell in love....then was discontinued. I was really upset...Then I found you, and the sticks, which are the best. Great flavor, draw. This is a cigar that you want to take time to smoke!!! So glad you have these. CAN'T SMOKE JUST ONE, OR A BOX. I have to have a box all the time. Please continue to make and distribute these fine sticks.

Sad to see the end of this smoke!!!

The Diablo Gran Fuego is the reason I like a big size cigar. I like to be the one to decide when the smoke is over, not when the cigar runs out. From the moment you open the box, you know this is going to be a good smoke. The box is beautifully crafted to add to the presentation. The cigars inside are richly dark and reminiscent of the bygone days of true cigar crafters. The dark wrapper has the sheen of fine aging, seductively sending you looking for your favorite beverage, and a time for pure enjoyment. From the foot toasting and lighting to the final puff, this cigar fullfills every promise it visualizes.

These smokes just melt in your hand..

They are old, too bad to call it a "draw", they burn like rope, and even with a few months in the humidor, they just fall apart while your trying to smoke them. Famous has better buys than this !

This review was written about Diablo Gran Fuego by Bill of Flower Mound TX on October 28, 2007

A great, spicy cigar.

Diablo Picante Country Dominican Republic Length/Ring: 5 x 40 Shape: Corona Wrapper: Dark Natural Strength:Medium Diablo cigars are handcrafted under the direction of Cigar Master, Daniel Nuñez. They have a complex, spicy flavor that is consistent throughout the entire smoke. Don’t look for Diablo cigars to be offered anywhere at bargain-basement prices as closeouts, because the manufacturer recalled all of the unopened boxes. Diablos are hard to come by, some people say that the company shut down due to low sales but as of now, you can find them at The Famous Smoke Shop. Burn: Right when you light up the cigar, a thick milky cloud of smoke will erupt from the cigar. The aroma is great, you can smell hints of pepper in it. The cigar will treat you as well as you treat it: if you light it evenly it will burn that way for the entire smoke. Its got a firm, white ash that will desperitely cling on. Consistency: This cigar is extremely consistent, throughout the entire smoke. Draw: The draw is excellent, no complaints whatsoever. There is no real reason to go into detail, it does its job well. Appearance: The cigar has a dark natural wrapper, and some veins on it that make it look mean. The ring on the cigar has the Diablo logo, which may I add is probably the nicest logo for a cigar. Marked in shiny, red color, it stands out on the dark cigar and makes it look great. As many have said, the appearance of this cigar was part of the marketing campaign, they did a good job. Taste: When you first light up, the taste may be slightly mellow, and not as strong. But the cigar has a personality like its name, it is deceiving. After the first few minutes it will suddenly change to a rich, complex, spicy flavor that is unrivaled. If your looking for a very strong and spicy cigar, this may not be the one for you. While it is strong, its spicy flavor isn't that strong, its in between medium and full flavored. Once your about half way done with the cigar, the spicy flavor tones down, and it tastes woody. At the last 1/3 of the cigar, the flavor will start to go downhill. Once your at this point there is no reason to smoke the rest. But overall, the taste of the cigar is good for the spicy flavor. Construction: The construction of this cigar is downright amazing. Its perfectly made, out of my box of 40 I have yet to find a single one with even a blemish. No cracks, nothing. Probably the greatest construction for a corona sized cigar. Overall, if you like spicy cigars try this one. Cigar Aficionado gave it a 88/100 score and commented that they like the “flavors of chocolate and caramel as well as sweet spice on the finish.” If you can get a hold of one, I would highly recommend it.

Good to see Diablo again- Thanks Famous!

I have had a few of these Diablos and they are always a treat. I have had to get them in sampler packs mostly for the past few years but here is Famous with them available - YAHOO! These cigars have a very good burn unlike some reviews here. You have to let them sit in the humi for a bit guys - don't just light one up after it has been UPS'd in a box subject to heat and cold. The taste is spicy, but very tasty, and leaves a great aftertaste. The ash is bright white and you know what that means - good soil. I love the Diablos and you will too!

Glad to see "It's back"

This cigar has alway's been one of my favorites but in the last two years they had become impossibleto find at any price.I have found in the past that a little time in a well kept humidor is all this cigar needs to reach the level of richness and spicy flavor that I grew to love for those who tried this cigar and did'nt find it to be what you expected try letting it rest in your humidor for 3-4 weeks it will be a totaly differant experiance.I personaly am glad to see it's back.

Caliente good after month in humidor

I also found the caliente to be more black pepper than anything when I first smoked them. But, I do like pepper so it was no big deal. I have recently found after leaving them in my humidor for a little over a month they have mellowed out and have become a much better smoke. Next time I buy some I'm going to leave them all in the humidor for at least a month and then start smoking. They still have spice to them and that is the point of the name "caliente" hot or spicy.

This review was written about Diablo Caliente by David of Austin, Texas on August 24, 2005

Overpriced

This is a good smoke but not a great one,,I think its highly overpriced. It is spicy and a medium bodied smoke ,draw was a bit hard and for the price its just not worth it.

This review was written about Diablo Pimiento by Wayne Hadley of Archbald,Pa on August 9, 2005

I don't agree with Scott at all!

Well it is a very nice "looking" stick but that is where my praise ends. Construction was horrible, canoe'd on me constantly and had to be fixed repeatedly. There was the tinyest bit of spice to it, but NOT much at all. Flavor was ok, but bland, especially for the price. Good news is I hear they're going to re-work the cigar to give it more heart and soul. But until then, I ain't wastin my money on it!

Strong cigar but boring taste, way overpriced. I'm glad I only got one

Mike is off-base

Decent smoke. Of course it has some spice; thats the whole concept of the cigar. Great construction, smooth draw, nice even burn and creates a firm ash. Devilishly tasty. A bit overpriced in my opinion, but great for an occasional switch from the norm; just to keep you on your toes (and this one will).

This review was written about Diablo Gran Fuego 5 Pack by Scott V. of Fl on January 20, 2005

Not worth it at all

This was the worst cigar that I have had a about a year. Not the worst I have ever had but very close. Weak grey ash, even burn to start with and them became gradually worse. No where near spicy. The draw was too easy. Very unpleasant aftertaste left on the palate. Will try one more and hope that the one I just smoked was just a bad stick.

This review was written about Diablo Caliente by Mark of Greer, South Carolina on January 19, 2005

damnation

This is easily the worst tasting cigar I have ever tried, and I've had some stinkers. Strong harsh flavor of black pepper even before it's lit, which numbs the lips and tongue after only a few draws, allowing you to suffer the foul taste of burnt charcoal and the aroma of singed drywall. Notably unpleasant.
