Flor De Oliva Cigars

Not Bad for the price

I have smoked a lot of budget cigars looking for the right one. I believe I found it in the 5 3/4 x 43. My only gripe is that it does not burn evenly. I never had a problem with the draw. I will continue to smoke it, not a bad cigar.

Solid, even if sweet caps almost ruins it all

I must say I found they look terrific on the first impression, especially for that price! Good draw / ash. But wrapper is a bit thin and seems dipped in weird / sweet alcool substance.. not bad but, surprising! Pretty satisfied overall. Good choice if you can have them cheap, and if you can live with the sweet wrapper.

great value, very good smoke

While a bit light for my taste these sticks are always consistantly made and are a great, satisfying smoke.

Needed a double-take

I did the review titled "Veddy Niice, I like". But i must re-review this cigar. I finally noticed that "sweet taste" everyone talks about, it almost taste salty-sweet, like blood (if youve ever bitten your lip). The initial taste is not at all attractive, taste like a white owl. about 1/3 down it tastes pretty good (leathery and spicy). It could pass for a 3, maybe 4 dollar cigar. The best thing about these cigars is the aroma and the construction, both flawless in my opinion. The taste is meh. everyday inexpensive cigar. They last a long while, about an hour (give or take 15 mins). Really good with coffee, better in the morning than at night. I bought a bundle of Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet for the same price, which are also made by the Oliva family, and they blow the flor de oliva's out of the water. Anyways, this overall is a great cigar for the money, but its not at all fancy. Not sure if i would buy these again, at least nto the sumatra wrapper, too sweet and spicy. Overall i would rate 7 out of 10.
