Quick and to the Point-Good

Tasted almost nutty, good with food and beer. Like a little firecracker.

Terrible! Tastes like Ammonia

I bought these in hopes that I might find a pleasant yet inexpensive, quick smoke. What I discovered was a tin of foul tasting rubbish.

Well constructed Maduro

This is a very good short stick. Very well constructed and good draw. Mine went out a couple of times, but it was pretty cold outside. The filler is mellow, but flavorful. The Maduro wrapper is not the best I've ever had, but still good. (I am very partial to the Macanudo Maduro). I will go back to this one again for variety.

FANTASTICK CIGAR.............

THE WRAPPER IS ALWAYS DONE TO PERFECTION WHILE THE TOBACCO IS A MILD TO MEDIUM EXPERIENCE. NEVER OVERWHELMING AND ALWAYS CONSISTENT. I AM A BELIEVER !

Consistent burn and draw; great buy!

Consistent burn, draw and construction. Mild yet flavorful with a creamy taste and aroma. I'm a hardcore full body put hair on your chest kinda cigar smoker but these mild cigars got me hooked!

Best Value for Money

Have worked in 18 countries over the past 12 years, and tried just about every brand of cigar. For my money, Fonseca Natural Wrapper 10*10 are the best value/taste combination out there. Note, this review does NOT apply to other Fonseca brand cigars.

Solid

I've smoked a lot of expensive cigars many of which are hyped beyond reason. Overrated junk like Davidoff, Perdomo, La Aurora etc. Out of all of them none can touch the consistency of these little guys. I've lost track of how many Fonseca's I've lit up but in all that time not a single solitary one has ever had less than a perfect draw. Flavorwise it's a solid medium with a nice nutty creaminess that builds to an almost full flavor towards the end. A lot of these so-called "premium" names should get off their fat sweaty asses and learn from these people on how to roll a cigar.

Perfect Brief Smoke

The Fonseca 2-2 Maduro is perfect for those times when I'm looking for a brief smoke (20-25 minutes, like when I'm driving home from work). Nicely constructed - an easy draw and even burn. The first 2" of white ash stay put. Creamy and mild, with a presence of anise throughout. Yumm!

consistency matters

I've never smoked one of these that I haven't enjoyed to the max. These will always be in the humidor so that I will always have a good mild but tasty cigar that I know will have a great draw,LOTS of creamy smoke-super go-to 'gar.

Nasty taste

I smoke Vegas De Fonseca cigars on a regular basis. They are one of my favorites so I thought I would try the Fonseca mini for a quick smoke. Big mistake. They had a nasty after taste and were very soft. Smoked two and tossed the rest in the garbage.

A Very Excellent Maduro

Once Again Manuel Quesada puts together a Very Fine Cigar Indeed!! From the most excellent wrapper, and solid construction, to a awesome burning cigar, what more can I say, just keep on making them!!

Much Better than the Natural

I could not wait for Manuel Quesada to put this one out. I found it to have better flavor than the natural, also the construction and burn are equally consistant and are on par with the natural. Highly Recommended!!

Good Smoke

The 5-50 is a good smoke. Very mild and smooth with an easy draw. I spoked one right out of the box and it was a little bitter. After about a month in the humidor the next one was markedly better.

Smooooothe & Aromatic

Split a box with a friend. 1st one out of the box was pleasantly mild but had a very smothe taste and most aromatic smell. Good ash and the second half was even better than the first. I think I found my every day cigar. MMMMM GOOD

Big N Mild

I've now smoked the regular Fonsecas and the Series F...I'll stick with the regular Fonsecas, they just have more character. The Fonseca Toro Grande (6X56), although a bit bigger gauge than I normally buy, is an awesome mild smoke, with an alluring aroma that's almost as pleasurable as the smooth creamy taste.

Fonseca 10-10

A very nice mild to medium cigar. One of the most consistant draw and burn I've experienced. First half of the cigar is not remarkable but the last half is exquisite. I'm relatively new to cigars after quiting cigarettes, but I've tried many and this is my favorite so far.

Smooooothe! Can't keep'em away from my wife!

Nice meal, on the lanai with a cup of sweet cuban coffee and a Fonseca 2-2. Flavorful, very aromatic, creamy. Problem: I light up and sit back, and my wife plays "tax collector" and grabs more than a few puffs. I'm buying a box today.

A very good mild cigar

A very pleasant, mild cigar. Nice construction and good burn. Consistent taste all the way to the band. Not exceptional but very enjoyable at a reasonable price. Recommended

Mild and aromatic, a little hard to draw

Nice case and cutter however the lighter does not work. There is no spark. Anxious to try the Maduro wrapper.

Young but worth the wait...

This is a beautifully constructed cigar, light in color and silky to the touch. When I first got these, they were a bit "young" and imparted an ammonia-like smell and taste. Knowing that patience is a virtue, especially with cigars, I let them rest for a few weeks in my humidor. What a difference! Smooth and buttery with a toasty finish. Hints of balsa and cedar and a pleasant aroma. This is a fine after dinner cigar enjoyed with a glass of Fonseca port. Cheers!

Fonseca 7-9-9 Maduro

Smoked one (box arrived same day)and was pleasantly rewarded. Smooth taste just as I like my smokes. Even burn, good draw, nice aroma. Though I read the description Famous provided I reserved judgement for my tasting. I will enjoy these for the next few months and looking forward to pulling the next one from my humidor to smoke and relax with a good cup of coffee.

Try one. You may like it.

This one starts out fine. Not quite as firm as others I've tried. Burn was uneven. Ash was nice. Flavor and aroma are good. Mine got a little bitter and had some bite on it toward the end of the cigar. This one is not one I'd buy regularly.

One of my favorites

This mild to medium smoke is one of my favorites when it can be found. MATASA offers high quality construction with a fine blend. This is worth the money and can be counted on for consistent pleasure.

Excellent, flavorful and mild smoke

I have been smoking this cigar since before the Cigar boom. (pre-1994)
It is always flavorful but mild, with excellent construction and commendable consistency.
It can sometimes also be found under the Second's label "Roller's Choice" for about $80 US in Texas.
