great morning golf course smoke

Had my first of the 5 pack sampler this morning. What a great smoke to go along with the golf course coffee. Lasted 8 holes, mild, creamy...best one yet.

One of the best for the money

I have been smoking these for a few months now and they are the "most bang for your buck" that I have found. You can find less expensive stogies but they will not come close to the quality of these Gisperts.

Great cigar, never had a bad one.

Always enjoyed a Gispert, great cigar.

GOOD SMOKE

VERY GOOD SMOKE FOR THE MONEY. AN EXCELLENT EVERYDAY CIGAR

This review was written about Gispert Belicoso by MIKE of FORT LAUDERDALE on April 22, 2008

Great Smoke

My new favorite everyday smoke....firm, good tasting, with an even draw and burn. A long smoke to enjoy in the evening.

Good smoke for the money.

Have purchased Gisperts several times. Good value for the everyday smokers.

This review was written about Gispert Toro 5 Pack by Steve of Franklin, Tn on March 1, 2008

Certainly not bad, but is dissapointing

This cigar is very well constructed and upon lighting it had some good flavors. However, it became very mild and the draw was very tough. Know that draw problems may be present in only that box so don't be afraid to try them. It had a good finish, but was too mild for my taste. If you like mild cigars then this one is pretty good.

Splendid puro

This is a fabulous cigar at a fantastic price. Always need some in my humidor.

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Don of NY on February 4, 2008

Wonderful cigar, Great value

I think I paid two bucks at the local smoke shop. They were down near the floor, the box only had a few out of it. What looked like a gamble turned out to be a winner. A smooth, tasty, unassuming cigar that satisfied to the nub. Perfect draw, enticing herbal pre-smoke aroma, nice burn. I normally prefer a medium to full cigar, but this one worked for me. I consider it a real find.

What a great smoke for the money

This cigar is great out of the box and gets even better aged in the hummidor. This is a top end Mild smoke, it starts off strong and after about 2 minutes it mellows out and is enjoyable to the end.

This review was written about Gispert Belicoso by George of MD on December 20, 2007

Very Good but needs Strenght

Lets keep this one a secret! A very good unpricey smoke for a change. Could use a tad more of ligero and I hope the manufacture is reading this but its creamy, tasty and well made. Hats off to the manufacturer and a slap to the overpriced cuban wannabe's out there.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by Andy of Bklyn,NY on December 7, 2007

Superb

Like the excellent Maduro from Gispert these are very under rated.Very mild but bomb proof in quality and construction. They are not amasing at holding an ash but this is made up for by no other problems . Ideal for a morning, garden or walkabout smoke.... Roy.R

Not what I expected

After reading all the good reviews I expected more taste in the Gispert, including the favorable Cigar Aficianado review of Gispert. Drew very well, good looking and burned good, but not that much taste. I must be smoking too many medium cigars, maybe. I've found that most cigars taste best fresh out of the box, but a lot of folks are claiming to age cigars in the Humi first, so I'll give that a shot.

This review was written about Gispert Belicoso by S. Tufte of Topeka Kansas on October 11, 2007

Super Price- Great Cigar!

This is a great mild flavored cigar. Nice construction, easy draw and burns evenly. I highly recommend this cigar and Famous smoke shop.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by Curtis of Canyon,TX on October 5, 2007

Outstanding Cigar

Just finished smoking my first Gispert Toro. Who ever said this is a mild smoke must have a palate of leather. This without question is a medium to full bodied smoke. The construction was near perfect with no visible flaws. The balance of the box appear the same. The burn was consistent and even throughout. The flavor of the cigar was excellent with a robust tobacco flavor that was complex and varied throughout the smoke. It has tones of woody flavor with a slight creamy taste toward the end. This cigar keeps your interest to the end and is no cigar for the faint hearted or novice. This is definintely a cigar for the experienced cigar smoker who has an appreciation of the blenders art. This cigar reminds one of the full flavored cubans prior to the embargo. This is one excellent cigar that has a perfect draw, complex flavors, volumes of robust smoke and is a pleasure to enjoy. It's difficult to believe at less than $2.50 per stick one can light up a delicious quality cigar like this.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Don McGuire of AZ on September 11, 2007

Terrific cigar, period. At $2 it's a steal!

This is a terrific cigar, regardless of the price, but when you get them for less than $2.50 each (right now FSS has a 5-pk for $11) it's a steal. Mild taste, easy draw, excellent burn, and different flavors come through as the cigar burns. Definitely in my top 5 of cigars that cost under $3. Only minor knock is that occasionally a stick is not quite perfectly constructed, but even these smoke really well. I definitely prefer the natural wrapper to the maduro in the Gispert as it complements the mild flavor better (at least to me).

So this is where the Reserva Real Has Gone

Great Smoke, No BS. I just received a 5 pack sampler of these, last week. I went with my wife to the casino last night. I don?t especially like to gamble, but it gives me a chance to smoke a few stogies indoors, so I smoked 3 of these. This is a really nice cigar, and I highly recommend them to people that like a smooth mild buttery tasting cigar, like Davidoff or Romeo & Julieta Reserva Real. I personally think there construction and taste is superior to both of the other cigars I mentioned. It does have a softer construction, and is wrapped with a tender satin smooth wrapper. Personally I love the way it feels in my mouth, but if you're a chomper, and find it difficult to adjust to softer cigars without chewing them to pieces, this probably isn't a smoke for you.

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Kent Surratt of So Cal on August 26, 2007

Yuck

I may have enjoyed this cigar more if it were better made. After a few puffs, the end became very loose and soggy which made it difficult to smoke. In all fairness though, my friend really enjoyed the last of my stash of these smokes.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by Steve of Phoenix, AZ on August 6, 2007

perfect mild but flavoursome smoke

These scream quality at a give away price. These like the Occidental reserve by Alec Bradley are a really pleasant relaxing smoke for any depressing day in the UK.

This review was written about Gispert Belicoso 5 Pack by creekend of UK on July 9, 2007

Didnt like them

I really wanted these to be good, but it just didnt happen. Good looking cigar but there was hardly any taste. The draw was awful I finally thru one away after a couple of minutes. Life is to short to put up with a bad cigar.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill 5 Pack by K Drain of Az on May 21, 2007

Tasty

Good appearance and construction on the outside. It has some burn problems though, but they taper off after the first half. But it had plenty of flavor comparable to a much more expensive Monte. Good nutty mild flavor that gets stronger as it burns. For the money this is a VERY good cigar.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Charles D of Irving, Tx on May 2, 2007

Bought a Toro 5-pack sampler.

I am usually very dissapointed with low cost samples I try, but I just finished my second toro from a 5-pack Gispert sampler and ended up ordering 2 boxes. With a mild taste and burn, this is an excellent morning cigar and I look forward to passing them out on the golf course. Holds its flavor till the end with no harsh burn.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Kevin Tillhof of KS on April 20, 2007

Good smoke (but)

This is a really good smoke for the price. You must let them age for at least 3 to 4 months before smoking. It is also important to keep the humidity 70 or better to keep the draw smooth. The wrap could be more consistent, 18 out of 25 is all you will get for consistency. For the price you could do worse.

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Jeff Patchin of NY on April 14, 2007

gave up

I found these cigars to be inconsistent. The first two were nice but the last three were a very difficult draw, and I ended up returning them.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by PNA of MA on April 9, 2007

Gispert

A beautiful color with nice oils. The taste is of cream and cashew. The draw is near perfect with a burn to match truly a quality smoke with a sweet woody finish.

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Charles Autrey of AL on March 26, 2007

Fantastic!

This is two hours of happiness! It has an excellent draw, smooth taste, perfect burn. The Gisbert Maduro Churchill is also excellent-received a 90 in Cigar Aficionado last year.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by Dave of Colorado on March 23, 2007

I like it... I like it...

Bought a box of these on sale. I read the reviews (some mixed), but figured I would make my own decision. I can say this. These are beautifully constructed cigars. Every one I have smoked has been consistent in draw, construction, ash, burn, and flavor. I normally am a faithful maduro smoker. But these guys are GOOD. Good full flavor, lightly resembled Indian Tabac Naturals. I have smoked 4 or 5 of them already, each has been a dead ringer for the last. GREAT Value. I'll be keeping some of these around in the humi. Try them for yourself.

WAY BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!!!

My review of the Gispert Robusto can be summed up in one word...EXCELLENT!! There is nothing negative to be said about this cigar. Keep them coming Famous!!

Very good for $2 per cigar.

Best three dollar smoke you can have

Terrific mild smoke, a great breakfast cigar, usually my first stick of the day. Great roll, super nice flavor. Never had one that didn't draw easy. I favor the toro, but the churchill is also a nice shape/size. Give the Gispert maduro a try too. Box pressed, full of flavor, best three dollar box pressed-maduro going.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Mulehead of Easton, PA. on November 24, 2006

Tale of two cigars

I have had this cigar and run into to two types of taste. The first is a smooth, like a med. bodied davidoff. A pre-boom flair. The second is like the Olor, that I used to buy from the NYC store 1992. This was a cigar that Famous tried, in vain, to get CA to review. It was a complex mix of bitter and smooth, which like bitter-sweet chocolate, is very good.

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Deankans of New York City on November 5, 2006

A real winner

Okay so I'm not a sophisticated aficionado. I'm not able to tell you that the Gispert Toro is exceptionally flavorful, with a hint of spice and a taste of old sweat socks. But as the old cliché goes, I do know what I like, and this cigar is definitely one of them. For me the six characteristics of a great cigar all boiled down equal this. Does it taste good, draw well, burn evenly, and when it's burned so far down it's singing the band, you wish it was about two inches longer? Looks like I got a winner.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Gene of Highlands Ranch, CO on September 11, 2006

Best cigar in this rpice range

I am always amazed by the quality and price of this cigar. It has a perfect burn, wonderful aroma and long, lingering aftertaste, and is rolled flawlessly - I highly recommend this if you want and amazing cigar for a fantastic price. Look for complexity of flavor, mild to medium body, wonderful finish and a great smoke.

Finally a great under $2.00 Daily Smoke

Swinging the big sticks 6-7 by 50 plus has always been my game. However I have recently given some attention to a the Lonsdale size stick. The consistancy and even burn of this stick was fantastic! Right out of box this was a great smoke. Very soft mild stick that I am proud to enjoy in the morning over a cup of my favorite coffee. CA's review of the Gispert Maduro Churchill turned me on this affordable brand and I have been even more impressed with the Natural line. Give this size a try, you won't go wrong.

This review was written about Gispert Lonsdale by Chris of Alamosa, Colorado on September 6, 2006

So So

While this is a pretty good everyday smoke, I think there are better choices for less money. the construction is good, the burn is good, but the flavor is inconsistent. I'll get one bad one for every good one. As of today the numerical rating is a 9.15 - that's kind of a stretch (like taffy). I would rather smoke a FdO Natural 5x50. Peace

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Managuamark of San Antonio on September 6, 2006

Perfectly made, but way too mild...

Everything said about this cigar by the other reviewers is correct, but my taste tends toward considering Fuente a mild cigar. This is full-bodied, creamy (however, not like a Cubano is creamy), a touch too dry on the palate, and just plain disappointing. Toward the last third, it began to show some nice flavors, then turned quickly bitter. I wish that I liked it as much as everyone else as the price is great.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Wine Guy of Santa Rosa, CA on September 5, 2006

We have a winner!

I picked up one of these after reading some good reviews. This was just an all around great cigar. The draw, the smoothness, and the feel in the hand. Needless to say, I had a smile on my face while I smoked this cigar. And the price- this could have easily been sold for more. I had a cigar of this size a week later that cost twice as much and I was not impressed. I'll take a Gispert Churchill over some of the more expensive ones anyday.

Nice for the Price

I am a Dominican smoker but will try just about anything; this Honduran was a nice surprise. I Bought the Gispert sampler and was not disappointed with any of the sizes, smooth, mild and flavorful good draw and good construction. I will most likely buy again the Toro 5 pack is 13 and change you can't go wrong at that price.

This review was written about Gispert Toro 5 Pack by chris of NYC on May 21, 2006

Good Mild Puffer

This is a good mild smoke. The price is right. However, it's a bit ugly. Still, all in all, it's worth a bit of moolah and a few moments. None will be wasted.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by doctom of Hot Springs, Arkansas on April 25, 2006

Fine, mild cigar - good price

A well-constructed cigar, very smooth and mild, but not too mild...I would imagine that this cigar would please a variety of smokers. They burn well, not "fussy", every one I've had to date draws well. The Robusto gives you a rich mouthful of smoke, tastes consistent right down to the end, with creamy overtones, and yet plenty of "body". A very enjoyable smoke at a modest price!

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Pete Carlson of CT on April 12, 2006

Just not what I expected

I almost hate to write a bad review about this cigar. Construction was perfect. Roll was great and the draw was easy. But the taste was not at all what I expected. Given it's ingrediant list, I was expecting a smoke similar to a Romeo Y Julieta reserva real, but this is the opposite end of the taste spectrum. I'd call it mild and even a tad bitter, leaving an unplseant aftertaste that lingers for quite a while.

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Jason of Youngstown on April 6, 2006

Gispert Churchill

A great value for the new and experienced cigar smoker. Construction, taste, aroma, are in the top quartile. Look........ for a stick thats about less than three dollars....... is an excellent buy. If you like mild to medium body smoke its for you. I have had all the different ring gages and they are good to excellent. Those who are pointing out draw problems and flavor weakness I suggest they look at their humidor as part of the problem. Further, these cigars are not rolled by the elite rollers that touch the more expensive lines. If you have a draw problem, quit the bitchin and buy a two dollar poker. get it. Thats what makes what we do exciting you never know what the next smoking experience will be like. You will never be sorry buying a Gispert. They are right next to my Nat Shermans and Romeo's. There you go now go get a box and enjoy your smokes!

Best Smoke in its price range yet!

Great draw & taste. I have had cigars that cost twice as much and not as good!

This review was written about Gispert Belicoso by Tony gambardella of Stratford Ct on August 22, 2005

Outstanding if you like mild smokes

Had my first one from the box a couple days ago, and it was great. The second and third were just as enjoyable. Perfect burn with a light draw. Just a bit too mild for me, but at this price I'll always keep these on hand for my guests. The taste is very similar to Macanudo's Hyde Park...very mild, almost creamy tasting.

This review was written about Gispert Toro by Todd of California on July 28, 2005

one hell of a cigar for the price!

I am ordering my third box of these, and continue to be amazed every time I light one up.This mild smoke from Altadis,is right up there with their best lablels. It is the steal of the century!

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by eric storm of conyers,ga on July 21, 2005

Hooked and happy it's not well known

Nobody has them around here so I purchased a box to try and was amazed. Good draw, even burn, smooth! So far I have smoked 4 of them and all of them have been consistent. I will always have a box in my humidor. I am so glad it's not known for the price, it's really a steal. I have smoked alot of Padrons and Foncesas and it is toe to toe with the best and all that I read in the magazines have been nothing but excellent.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by Bigwill of Fayetteville, NC on March 27, 2005

Outstanding Smoke, Great Value

High ratings and low cost prompted me to buy my first box (think I'm on # 7 now). Great taste, starts strong, then mellows, then the last 2 inches are just wonderful, complex, woody, nutty, thick copious clouds of smoke. Occasional construction issues, and I've had a few develop minor splits on the foot, but doesn't affect the burn. They're great right out of the box, and the packaging is impressive too, full width cedar sheets between layers. Great for an everyday cigar, but too nice to waste while mowing the lawn - these should be savored slowly while you're paying attention. You'll swear its a Cameroon that cost 3 times the price.

Must Try Killer Smoke Great Deal

I just ordered my 3rd box of these gems. Out of the 50 I have smoked have not had even one bad one. This is now my smoke of choice. Try it you will like it.

This review was written about Gispert Churchill by Greg of Houston Texas on March 2, 2005

What a disappointment!

Gispert gets great reviews by Famous smokers and by various cigar magazines. I couldn't wait to try my first one. It wouldn't draw at all. The second one was good. The third and fourth wouldn't draw. The fifth one was good. The sixth one wouldn't draw. And so forth! The ones I could smoke were good, but the duds raised the price of the good ones to a super premium level. At that price I can buy better cigars.

This review was written about Gispert Lonsdale by Harold G. Walter of Memphis, TN on February 15, 2005

Incredible taste and value

This is one of the most incredible finds I've made in 10 years of cigar smoking. In my top 5 cigars and the price makes it a " No Brainer ". A must try cigar for everyone

This review was written about Gispert Robusto by Dave Moore of Ft. Worth, TX on January 11, 2005

Perfectly delightful with a barleywine.

What a pleasant smoke! The draw and burn were very consistent and the ash hung on for about 3 inches. I normally prefer Maduro's but this is a nice alternative. Flavorful and smooth almost to the nub but I almost burned my fingers 'cause I didn't want it to be over. I had a Vintage (99) Victory Old Horizontal barleywine with it and it was a great pair. Gonna have to get more of these for the reasonable price.

GREAT SMOKE. GREAT PRICE!!

This is a great smoke for a really great price. When you see all those exspensive cigars receiving low ratings, and this one gets high ratings for only a couple of dollars a stick, it tells you something about marketing, phoney! I love this cigar, one of my regulars. I have never had a bad one yet, very consistant. Try one and you will make it your regular too.

Superb !!!!!

What a fine cigar ! The local shop owners never heard of them until I gave them each one to smoke. Boy ,they were ordering them A.S.A.P. I have turned 3 local shop owners onto them and they love them ,and cannot keep them in stock ! What a fine cigar ,and for the price you CANNOT go wrong!
