H upmann Petit -Corona

I can understand why President Kennedy enjoyed this cigar so much. Medium bodied, very unique cuban flavor, and so, so, smooth.I have some of them in my humidor right now.

A really little bute.Lay them down to settle for a while or they can be a little harsh halfway but a cheap Famous treasure indeed. Roy.R

consistently satisfying

Over several years, I keep coming back to the H. Upmann Aperitifs (this site misspells "aparitifs" by leaving out the first i) because they have never disappointed me. After trying several new brands that make me wonder why I even smoke at all, I try one of these little babys and say, "Oh, yeah. THIS is why I smoke cigars!" Truly rich, smooth, flavorful, robust, and powerful, but deceptively small. How they pack that much oomph into barely bigger than a Wildhorse 100, is a mystery. I've heard that only the young shoots of the tobacco plant, on the very top, are used for these, and they have the most oils, and burn very slowly - that these are made of leaves that are normally reserved for the outer core of larger cigars, and contribute most of the flavor to the big smokes. --Very reliable: always a pleasure, never a disappointment. Hey; today is leap year, so take a leap and discover what you've been missing. Notice, there are no bad reviews on this little guy. And if there ever are, don't believe them!!!!

try 5 first. make your own decision.

I bought a box of these little gems. They look fine, they taste good with a nice draw. Unfortuneatly for some reason there is nothing resembling an even burn.for some reason a third of this smoke want's to remain intact to the end. I've smoked 5 already hoping that the next one'll be better.lets hope a month in humi will help.I will not be buying these again.

overlooked treasure

I have been smoking cigars for many years and must say that this little corona is fantastic! It has a very cubanesque flavor, great draw and wonderful aroma. Also, I don't really understand when people say 10 or 15 minute smoke - this cigar went to the nub, and took and hour and twenty minutes. Will buy more

Morning Delight

I ride to work about 45-1hr. everyday to work and have found that this Cigar brightens my morning. It titelates the pallet, its very aromatic, great ash and draw and good to the last puff. A must have to relax.

Rock Solid Cigar

Good medium strength cigar, flawless construction, fantastic aroma, solid ash, firm draw, excellect burn and a nice finish. A humidor must have. H. Upmann is a very good reliable cigar for a decent price!

my classic smoke

The H Uppman robustos were my first real smokes. These are always consistent and the taste is what I'm looking for. A true classic.

Be a man

Like the rest of you, I've been trying a lot of mild to medium off-brands lately with disappointing results. Alas, I decided to go back to a solid cigar like H. Upmann. Can't believe the whiners out there; this is a fantastic cigar for the money. Forget the leather, the cocoa, the dirt, the chicken soup complexity idea, my brethren. Just enjoy H. Upmann's classic packaging, silky wrapper, great pre-light aroma, draw, and flavorful smoke. The taste brings to mind the Cubano starry nights I remember as a teen. Be a man. Take a little Dominican, add a dash of Brazilian, wrap it in sweet Sumatran, age well, and you've got the flavor profile combination of true tobacco heritage. Enjoy!

All-day cigar

I work on the Robusto for hours. The tight draw and slow burn make this a cigar to last the entire night. A good taste that my occasional cigar smoker friends liked- it's my favorite and the only one my wife likes the smell of as well.

Perhaps my new fav.

I lite one of these up while I was bowling and was amazingly surprised. It had a great draw, great ash and was good to the last frame. I usually smoke C.A.O's as my regular stick but that my be changing real soon. Great stick at a great price.

Nice flavor,impossible draw

Satisfying flavor, toasted nuts and sweet berries ,unfortunatley they are so over filled that even a draw enhancer won't help you. Out of the 20 I have smoked I've enjoyed only 5.

A fine, rich tasting medium bodied cigar

I've smoked Upmanns before, but non e for several years. This Toro came in a taster pack, so I said hello to an old friend. This one looked and smoked perfectly. The construction is perfect, the body firm. The flavor is rich, with no complications. The strength is medium leaning towards heavy due to the Toro's girth. It's a rich, full bodied, enjoyable smoke right down to the nub.

Pretty average

A good looking cigar, well constructed, but not very tasty. In my opinion, an overpriced average stick.

A very good smoke.

I got two of the Petit Coronas in a sampler. Smoked one and was very impressed with the beautiful construction, smooth flavor, white ash, and full clouds of smoke. Liked it so much I smoked the second one the next day, then went into a panic because I was out! Got a box ASAP and am now happily puffing at least one every day. A great, flavorful short smoke.

MMMM Coronas Bravas

All I can say is that when they first arrived, I was not so impressed. I actually handed out a few at a party the following weekend. So I let the rest sit in my humidor for about 3 months. One day 9/2004, I figured I would try something different so I reached for a Coronas Bravas. I thought why not! The moment I lit the cigar it tasted great. It was everything as described. All I regret is that I gave those first few away the first week. Hey! These are mine you can't have any!

Excellent

Smoked the first one from the box that arrived this afternoon with a great glass of wine and watched the sun go down over the lake I live on. Found the smoke to be a very excellent experience. The taste was mild to medium as was expected. The draw and burn were outstanding with a very firm construction that you typically find in the higher quality smokes. It was an outstanding experience and I can't wait to smoke the next one during tomorrow evenings sunset.

Fuller alternative to Aurora Fino or C..Rey Cameo

I'm a new smoker, now broadening from the aperitivo size. I like the Aurora Fino and Cuesta Rey Cameo, but this is nice when you want a more full-bodied smoke. Figure somewhere between the Cuesta Rey Cameo and the Arturo Fuente Cubanito.

H Upmann Grande (Tube)

Good tasting cigar, smooth smoking, great flavor, but hard to stay lit. Got them on sale, don`t think I`ll try them again.

Damn tasty!

Very nice mild taste. Started with a medium draw and then loosened up a bit. Good ash, even burn. Not harsh at all. Good after taste. None of that funky "burnt" tase on the palate. Gonna add this to my favorites list.

Almost replaces the old corsario

I found this cigar to be a pleasant surprise. After the first box it became one of my favorites. Be nice to it and it smokes well down to the point you are just about burning your fingers. It is a bit sharper and smaller then the no longer available Corsario but is similar in the robust smoothness, hearty flavor, and clean draw.

Very flavorful full-bodied cigar

This is a very good full-bodied cigar. Nice rich flavor with an excellent finish. Draw is medium, but had a few that were a bit tight. Highly recommended if you like a Maduro smoke. JWK

Very good cigar, great at this sale price

Creamy coffee taste that turns nutty. Well made, great burn, very good draw. Nicely constructed, a good smoke. At the sale price an unbelievable value.

Nice, but no Lonsdale

Jack Kennedy's stick (then Cuban) this was his make and brand he had 1500 of them shipped to the White House before he signed the embargo. Brother Teddy and nephew Joe Jr. still light them up when in Hyannis Port. Guess there is a few of them left. Besides the history, this stick is nice, but I prefer the Lonsdale. Though both share a complex coffee, roasted nut and tobacco flavor - that unmistakable Upmann flavor.
