Vintage Vintage Cameroon

After 3 years in the humi-closet, my Upmann Vintage Cameroon Toro looked, smoked and tasted fabulous. The balance and depth of flavor was masterful. I liked this cigar 3 years ago. I loved it today.

Great from first light, the last third is Heaven.

This is a wonderful smoke from the get go. Great flavors, loads of smoke, and the last third is a spice bomb, reminiscent of a VSG or Opus X. For the money, this is an outstanding cigar.

I didn't want it to end

Terrific cigar! For me, a newbie, this may have been my best cigar yet. That Cameroon wrapper tastes wonderful, and smells great while burning and before lighting. The draw was a tad tight, but it's a humid night in Hot 'lanta, and I walked the dogs while smoking. This Upmann Cameroon robusto came in a sampler from Famous when I bought a box of cigars. I will order a box when I make room in my humidor. Thanks Famous!

Very Nice!

Very Nice Smoke! Nice cedar taste on the finish. I like it much better than the Torano cameroons.

Ok

Good taste. Fast burner but not hot. I still prefer the Torano Cameroons.

Good Smoke With a Great Finish

I have had these before and have always enjoyed them. The one I had today sat in my humidor for a while and was calling my name. I would call this a medium strength cigar with a full bodied finish. It was this finish that makes you heavily anticipate the next puff; very flavorful. I will no longer by these in singles or in five packs; boxes from now on.

May be my new favorite.

This is the first Upmann cigar that I have tried and I have to say that is one of the best I have ever smoked. At first I thought it was going to be too strong a smoke, but it quickly settled down to a very smooth and tasty cigar. I like this one alot and will make room for a box.

Fine smoke

Good strong taste, fine aroma due to the Nicaraguan filler, I guess. Nice easy draw, and steady burn. A mild to full cigar leaving me satisfied with the smoke. I liked it and have a few more to smoke :)

very nice wrapper, rich, easy draw,

Beautiful, solidly constructed cigar, with easy draw, fine white inch-long ash. Wonderful aroma from wrapper before lit. Wonderful, rich aroma from wrapper when burning, but somewhat hidden by the filler, especially at first. Strong kick, at first and again at end. Nice.

Great Taste, Some Underfilled

A terrific Cameroon cigar for the money--the Upmann Cameroon tastes like the old Dominican Upmanns before the cigar boom, only more spicy and complex. But, I'm noticing that many of the smokes in the box I recently bought are underfilled. It doesn't seem to affect the flavor or the burn too much, though. Definitely recommended for the Cameroon smoker. One of this line was rated the 24th best cigar of 2004 by CA.

Much like TTU

This cigar is a lot like the Texas Tech University basketball team...mediocre, with flashes of brilliance. Hence the number 24 ranking by Cigar Afficianado.
