Impressive and well worth the time to smoke it

I was quite surprised at the steady burn of this cigar. The taste was pleasant and the overall feel of it was very impressive for its price range. I was looking for a Dominican cigar similiar to a Partagas. I still prefer the Partagas over this, but overall for the price it is a great substitution. The only thing i didnt really like too much was the smell of the brazilian wrapper, about half way through i could really taste it. Overall it was a great surprise!

Not as good as I thought.

I liked it Ok, but it was not worth the money. It almost tasted burnt inside. Stronger than I expected. Burned out too easily.

WINNER!!

Can't afford most La Aurora cigars, but couldn't pass up the principes size and price. What a discovery. A real joy to smoke, look forward to every one,(in between my two other cigars. both different brands and sizes). Principes arn't real pretty, but they taste great. The fact that they are machine rolled, is in my opinion, a plus, as every cigar is consistant with the previous one. The precut head just saves a presmoking step, and a little tobacco in the mouth (on occassion) is no big deal. Will be ordering many more of these little guys!!!

Big Mistake

I am a regular Principes smoker, I like the budget friendly daily smoke. I saw the flavor assortment sampler pack on my last purchase of sticks. I was curious so I bought them. I am not a fan of flavored cigars but I gave in to curiosity. These sticks were so pungent that I was weary even before lighting a stick (rum flavor) The tobacco flavor of the cigar got lost with the infused flavor. After a few puffs I found myself spitting out the flavor all the way thru the smoke. If you are a fan of flavored sticks you may enjoy these. For those of you who enjoy the natural flavor of a good cigar stay away from these. I will be pulling these out on those times when the ladies want to pretend they can hang with the big boys(no offense ladies). Take my advice stick with the natural principes they are good daily sticks at a descent price. If you want something sweet go to the candy store.

all things considered not too bad

The price is great. The tobacco is smoother, milder, than the regular principes I have tried. The added flavors are ok, but really generic.

Best under a buck in any catagory

A friend gave me 1 at work, and I was amazed.
I looked them up on line and only then found out that these were a cheap smoke. I ordered 2 boxes and never looked at another "bundle" deal or closeout special. BEST EVER UNDER A BUCK!!!

INCREDIBLE!

I have been looking for a quick puff that is actually good. Tried others but have been dissappionted. Wow are these little cigars great, I mean taste and price. I wasn't expecting much for the price but when I fired one up with just 2 days in a humidor, I was hooked. The flavor has hints of a slight sweetness but also has an earthy and slight coffee flavor. They burn nicely with no problems so far. Last about 20 minutes and are just perfect for my drive home. In fact I'm now choosing these over my other cigars.

Almost a Fuente

This is a decent smoking premium cigar with good construction and a decent amount of smoke off the draw which can be a bit tight. the taste of the cigar is a bit putrid at times as its not near as tasty as a Funete, more similar to that of a punch than a funete. the construction was moderate to good, the taste is missing something as other sizes deliver a much creamier taste than the Robusto which the wrapper puts out a swirling amount of smoke which isnt close to pleasant.

I'd rather smoke a backwoods!

Smoked 2 so far and both had terrible draws. The taste was far from great and I really had to work just to get any smoke! Never again!! I'd rather have a pack of backwoods smokes than these.

Better than Fuente

I prefer these to regular Fuente Cameroon cigars. La Aurora has more flavor, delivered in a smooth manner. Good construction and taste. Plus they are a better value. Another thing, La Aurora makes better sizes too.

The best bargin available - bar none

Have had the pleasure of these little smokes for 7 or 8 years now, and they are and have been my daily cigar all that time. I have at one time or another tried most of the other brands, types, ring gauges, wrappers and so forth, and still do on a regular basis, but for my money there's not a better tasting premium cigar out there. The La Aurora Principes brand is highly underrated.

Very good, but

Not quite as good as my favorite: Rafael Gonzalez. The flavor is quite similar, but the Auroras have a slight bitterness on the finish. RG's have a clean, crisp finish, with a hint of horseradish. If you can afford just slightly higher price, go with the RG's.

Very satisfied with this smoke.

Enjoy the price of these reliable smokes. Always a easy burn and draw. Nice taste for a small cigar. Like the pre-cut end but, sometimes get pieces of leaf in the mouth. Overall, very satisifed with this product.

none better in price/value

This cigar keeps me coming back for more as it is reliable. Never lets me down on taste and burn. Some noticable strength and after taste but that's not a bad trade off for a super bargain.

Just OK

This little smoke is nothing special. The wrapper is ugly and at times you are picking the cigar clippings from your teeth after every puff as they already come uncapped for you. On the good side they are a bargain for the price. If you are looking for an every day smoke that won't burn your budget this one may due. The sticks give plenty of smoke but lacks any taste. The cigar has a very very airy taste. At times I felt I was not smoking anything at all. I usually smoke Arturo Fuente tins and maybe I am just spoiled but, as that gets very expensive at fifteen dollars a tin the Principes fit better into the budget for that smoking lunch cigar break. Overall this bundle is great for the price, you just have to remember that you get what you pay for.If you are looking for a quick smoke with good flavor then this one is not it (smokes even lighter than a Macanudo)but if you want inexpensive, mild, won't hurt to throw half when your work break runs out then this may be a good match to satisfy that premium cigar craving that you don't dare light up at work and ruin the joy of a good smoke and a good cocktail.

La Aurora Belicoso Secundos

Don't know if Famous has the seconds, but a bundle of 25 goes for around $42.00 delivered. I have had the primos and aside from wrapper flaws, they are just as good.
Note: These do well after a 6 month humidor stay.

Perfect Cigar

The La Aurora Belicoso, is without question one of the best all around cigars I have smoked each year for the past 10 yrs. The flavor, draw, burn and aroma is great. If I had one universal cigar to reccomend to someone or to smoke anytime of day the La Aurora lineup is what I would point to. A+++

Great low-priced corona

Bought a box of these for my dad for Christmas (he doesn't have any good shops near him). We ended up liking them so much I have ordered a couple boxes for myself and one more for him. The glass tubes keep em pretty fresh, and the taste is similar to a cohiba without the heavy draw. This is a great quality cigar for outdoor activities like golf or fishing. If I am going to sit in a salon and smoke, I am going to bring out a big ol $15 torpedo, but I'm not going to waste that outdoors. La Aurora is a great every-day cigar.

The first thing I noticed was that these were not the best wrapped cigars. But after smoking one (Principes vanilla) I was pleasantly surprised. Smooth draw with very good flavor. You will not be disappointed with these.

Best cigar for the money

WHAT A GREAT, INCREDIBLY, SMOOTH CIGAR. IT IS A TOP DRAWER, CIGAR, FOR THE MONEY THE BEST. I WOULD RATE IT ON LINE OR BETTER THAN FUENTE'S DOUBLE CHATEAU. WHEN I WAS IN MEXICO LAST MONTH, ALL THE HOTEL CIGAR SHOPS CARRIED THE LA AURORA LINE, ALONG WITH ORE EXPENSIVE CUBAN BOLIVAR'S AND COHIBAS,

smooth, consistant, mild cigar

This cigar, was recommended by the phone rep, at famous, and I was plesantly surprised. I was originally planning, on ordering some Ashtons. For half the price, it has the same nutty, smooth, consistant taste, from start to finish. No aftertaste, and never needs to be relit. I walked around the yard, and did some yard work, in 15 minutes, i came back, and it was still lit. I would hightly recommend this great cigar, who wants a bargain, in a great smoke

Great Value

This was by far the best tasting cigar I've ever had for under a buck. Had an earthy flavor with woody undertones, and hints of nuts. Burned nice and even, and never hot. A must try for any type of cigar smoker.

IT AGES BEAUTIFULLY!

I tried a 5-pack. The first one was OK. The second one was OK. I unwrapped the other three and put them in my humidor. Three weeks later I tried another and OH, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The flavor seemed to have blossomed during that short aging period and was outstanding. I can't wait to see what a few more weeks will do.

The smaller cigars are perfect when you dont have time for a full size cigar. The taste is excellent. I usually buy davidoff minis, not anymore. Construction is not great, but for the price, this is foregiving.

great little cigar

this is a really good cigar for those times you don't have the time. i started smoking small cigars after giving up cigarettes. i have since developed a taste for the larger ring cigars, but for that quickie before bedtime or at the club or restraunts (where it is still ok) these are great. a nice cameroon wrapper, if you like cohiba pequeneos you will love these.

Nice, mild, yet flavorful smoke

I enjoyed this smoke as a light, "early in the day" smoke, though it has enough flavor and aroma to be enjoyed anytime. I'm partial to more robust cigars, as I usually only get to smoke in the evening when everyone's in bed, and enjoy a fuller "sit-down" cigar at those times. However, I found this to be a nice change and have designated this one as my "regular" mid-day cigar. Great for those occasions I get the chance to partake while doing yard work.

A Perfect Cigar!

Everything about this cigar is perfect. A beautiful wrapper, with a great burn, draw and most of all the flavor. I often smoke the Romeo & Julieta Churchill, but no more now that I've had a few of these. This one has everything it's got with a little more flavor. Definitely worth the price. Buy a single and give them a try, you won't be dissapointed!

Mild, Smooth, Great for Nuevo Cigaristas

Just started enjoying cigars, a nice treat this one. Mild, consistent, great flavor, and not "too much" in the way of a smoke. Great for between theater acts, after a nice meal, and for a purist, NOT a flavored smoke.

La Aurora Robusto (Natural)...A MUST TRY!!

Ordered a box of Robusto naturals based on reviews and ratings. Three words...A Great Cigar! Examining the cigar before lighting it, I could tell this was one well made cigar. Consistant color, excellent construction, firm feel, and a pleasant aroma. Light it up and you're in for a treat. I found it to be more mild to medium, comparable to Macanudo Hyde Parks, but with a bit more flavor and richness. Flavor was very smooth and creamy, with light hints of coffee, toast, and cedar. The draw...perfect! Lots of smoke with a pleasant aroma to it. Burn was consistent and even, needing no tweaking. Ash was a light, silvery grey and held to almost the halfway point before falling off. This cigar definitely goes on the favorite list for me. At $70 for a box of 25, it's cheaper than Macanudo Hyde Park or Lords, yet is as good or better than the Macanudo in all aspects, especially if you are looking for a bit more flavor that's smooth and not overpowering. A great cigar at any time of the day. A must try if you haven't already.
