Suprise

The suprise was a good smoke for such an ugly cigar. Look rough and poorly manufactured, a bit soft but have a good draw, even burn, firm ash and consistent acceptable flavor that lasts to the end. Reviewed after 6 smokes.

A good cigar for the money

I was looking for a cigar to smoke on the drive to work. One that I wouldn't cry over if I had to only smoke 1/2 because of time. I had a few of these back in 1997 when Mike's were making them for Drew as well as one when Johnny brought the new version to Boondoggle in 2000 for the attendees to try. I was surprised then but never bought any because I could smoke when and where I wanted. Now, thanks to those who know what's best for me, I smoke half the time on my drive to work. Many nights I get to the parking lot early, sit in my car and listen to a baseball game (thanks XM) and enjoy. Other times I only have time for 1/2 and shed no tears in disposing of 1/2. Try them without any pre-conceived notions about a 'sandwich' cigar. You just may be surprised.

ONE LARGE CIGAR for the money

WOW A monster wraped in a savory African Cameroon wrapper. These cigars draw easily with a rich, smooth, earthy flavor, producing clouds of thick blue smoke as advertised. Easy draw and great ash and taste. I love the package with the filler tobacco all around the cigars. Leaves a nice smell in the humidor.

Terrific Cigar For Price

Terrific cigar. Excellent burn. Consistent medium taste thru-out. Better than Fuente curly head. Actually, I've had way more expensive longfiller cigars that didn't burn as well & weren't as constistent as this stick. Better than the original La Vieja Habana. This is a must try as far as medium cigars go.

Great cigar for the money

One of my favorite smokes at any price. Great flavor, great price. I've smoked several boxes of these and have never been disapointed.

Savory, baby...savory.

That word really captures the essence of this cigars smooth, bold, buttery flavor. On initial inspection, the wrappers seem to have a bump here and there, but surprisingly, they don't affect the burn at all. Mine all burn dead even unless I light them wrong. Same great Drew Estate draw, lots of smoke with little effort....I like! A little wider ring gauge lets it smoke cooler, and it has a surprisingly long ash for a mixed-filler cigar. No egos allowed, just lots and lots of good flavor and good smoking fun. After seeing how much I like the first offering I tried from this new wrapper series from Drew Estate, I can't wait to try the others!

Not Impressed

I know that these aren't the most expensive on the lot. But the wrap is bumpy all over the cigar, and halfway thru it starts burning your mouth. It does hold a good ash smoke is not as good as led to believe.
