fine after dinner cigar

La Gloria has made a nice blend of tobacco. Well handcrafted cigar.

They're ok

I was slightly disapointed with these little cigars. The draw was good however the taste was a bit sharper than I was expecting, and they also bit my tung. However they were not terrible for the price. I would give them a fife out of ten.

Not So Much

Purchased the Wavells and can't get enough of them, GREAT Product. Wanted to try the Corona Gorda and bought a box. Out of the 5 I've smoked, 3 have had wrappers split after I lit them. The draw was weak and difficult to keep going. Wish I could get a refund. Love the Wavells, the Gordas...not so much!

My experience has been uniformly good

I'm puzzled. The LGC Wavells (DR) seem to elicit diametrically opposing reviews from what I've found on the web. I've had three from a gift sampler my wife purchased late last year. I've found them to be a very, very pleasant, creamy medium-bodied smoke. They light easily, draw well and have a good, spicy (but still smooth), leathery savor that remains consistent for most of the burn. One of them seemed to lose ash faster than I'd have expected, but the other two were exemplary in that regard. Have I just been lucky, or is the simply a case of "different strokes for different folks"?

A fine cigar

This is a really fine smoke. Don't let the deep dark maduro wrapper scare you off if you're used to a mild smoke. This version delivers a rich, full bodied, nutty taste and is never harsh. Smokes great from the first puff to the last and ends very nicely. A well made stick that burns evenly and holds a long ash, however they will get bitter fast if you re-light again and again or if you try to rush it. Good with coffee or a nice brew, I usually save them for after dinner. I taste a bit of leather and coffee in the smoke and it's pretty complex. I prefer these to the La Gloria DR version which seems to have become inconsistent in construction and flavor.
