Leon Jimenes Cigars

Packs a punch

This cigar burns abundantly well, has a smoothe draw, ,and the taste begins a bit harsh but soon mellows into a delicious tasting cigar with notes of toasted almonds and a spiciness that you can feel on your lips as you enjoy this delicious bouquet of flavours before the finish which is strong and smoothe. a terrific made cigar that burned evenly with a good 2 inches of white ash. a deinite premium made cigar that was an excellent smoking experience. One of the best smokes at this particular size for a smoke with a bouquet of falovurs packed into one cigar, this cigar packs quite a punch that satisfies.

Another Jewel from La Aurora

YOU MUST AGE THIS CIGAR. This is very mild by my taste I have been smoking cigars for 10 years. I have tried almost every cigar out on the market from 1950's pre-embargo. To Cigars infused with the finest cognac. I recommend aging this cigar a min of 6 months to a year. In a good quality humidor. This cigar has a very spicey peppery taste. I recommend this cigar with Black label. This will even your palate and ensure for a smooth smoke.

Inconsistant quality

My first impression of the Leon Jimenes Robusto was very impressive when I received a sampler. I was so impressed that I ordered a box on my next monthly order. After going through eight cigars I have thrown 3 away! The smooth quality smoke I was expecting does not exist. The cigar does not burn consistently; in fact the three I threw away would not stay lit. I'll definitely stay with a Macanudo any day over the Leon Jimenes. The previous reviews on this web site are 2 - 3 years old. It seems the quality has slipped dramatically. I would not reccommend this cigar to anyone.

Nice mild smoke

Not a bad little smoke, nice and mild with a nice sweet woody taste. They are constructed nicely I light one improperly but it evened itself out. Overall not bad a very mild smoke, it would be a good everyday smoke if you can find them a little cheaper.

Very nice, very surprised

Got this in a "medium" sampler and thought it would be too mild. But mild can be wonderful! I plan to order more soon.

not bad

Pretty mild and sweet. Smelled better than it tasted, but not a disappointement. Worth a try if you're in the mood for a short sweet smoke. The ladies will like it too. Nice aroma while lit.

This is one tasty smoke

This is a well balanced tasty mild smoke. The draw was clean, the smoke volume good. Great construction, Burned razor sharp. I've read some post here. Not sure what there smoking, but it wasn't anything like the Jimenes Robustos I've had. Very pleasureable with mild developed complexity. I have smoked a few all were of high quality and great taste.

A real disapointment

I bought a 5 pack, I've smoked 3 so far, ALL three have been so tight almost unsmokeable. They are smooth but you got to work for it, that's not my idea kicking back and enjoying a good smoke. I wish I could get my money back for those!!!

Don't Bother

No taste - even for a flavored cigar. Waste of time.

Mild - not overpowering

I enjoyed this cigar. It had a nice mild but tasteful flavor. burned nicely and lasted longer than I though it would. good draw. Is a good cigar for early cigar smokers and experienced smokers looking for smothing smoother than some of the stronger brands. Hope this is helpful.

LJs... ...a good consistent smoke.

I bought a five-pack of LJ Robustos and I love 'em. Actually I thought the draw was a little tight, but the cigar was smooth and consistent, and I love the beautiful, smooth and glossy wrapper. I intend to keep some LJs in stock in my humidor.

Leon Jimenes Torpedo

Bought one on a whim, been smoking #2's for awhile. From first light it had the smoothest draw and outstanding flavor one would expect from a more expensive cigar. Try one today!

An excellent mild cigar

One of the best tasting mild cigars I have smoked. Slightly sweet, woody flavor, surprisingly complex for a mild smoke. Unfortunately, experience was marred by a tight draw. Very smooth consistant flavor all the way to the end. Recommended

Great mild cigar

To me, this is one of the most underated cigars imaginable. As some one who generally perfers much fuller flavored cigars, this is my favorite mild cigar, bar none. Mild cigars have a reputation of lacking complexity which isn't the case here. Nice wood, leather and dried fruit tastes that keep you searching for different flavor notes. Only drawback is a kind of homely cap that detracts from an otherwise attractive appearance. Excellant after dessert smoke.

Excellent

Great Cigar. Mild Flavor. Never burned when taking a hit. Lasted a long time. Incredible smoke with a nice aroma. Could smoke these all day.

My new favorite mild Dominican smoke

I discovered this cigar on a recent vacation to the Dom. Rep. I tried a No. 1 and a Churchill Deluxe as well, but the Torp is wonderful. For me, a perfect size, perfect shape, great flavor. Mildly sweet, hints of nutmeg, caramel, maybe a little coffee. An especially good dessert cigar. Give one a try!

A NICE BIG FOOTED SMOKE

A nice looking, smoking, tasting mild cigar with a big foot (58rg)with the Jimines fine construction. The Conn.shade wrapper tastes delicious.Nice burn and draw all the way. Little creamy till the end when it heats up a bit,as many of this shape tend to.I will stick with the regular shape in the future.

Thumbs-Up!

A nice mild and creamy cigar with lots of rich, full bodied flavor. It smokes good all the way to the fingertips and the draw is always perfect. Did I mention the great aroma? This stick is on the top of my favorites list.

A smooth smoking experience!

The Leon Jimenes #1 is a beautiful cigar. Great construction, easy drawing and a fantastic mellow flavor with mild to medium body. A silky wrapper adds to the enjoyment.
