Excellant Value

Nice construction & appearance, tight gray ash, good flavor, gets a liitle spicy in last couple of inches, beefy & chewy. Great Value for the money.

VERY Disappointing

Tried a 5 pack of robusto maraoma cigars and was Very Disappointed. This cigar was one of the worst cigars I ever had. Smelled terrible and tasted even worse.constution was very poor and even 4 weeks in my humid. they still were dried out and tasted horrible. I would NOT even give these to my worst enemy. Not worth the money at any price.

Pleasantly surprized! Hey Mikey I liked it!

Very similar to the Carlos Torano Signature. This is one fine tasting cigar! Probably the best value at FSS. My rating: 87

Great Cigar for the Golf Course

I bought a box of maduro churchills hoping it would be a good inexpensive cigar for the golf course. Man, am I glad I bought a box of these, it's exactly what I was looking for. I usually bring two, one for each nine, and each one will last at least four holes. I always get compliments on how good they smell, and the few that I gave out got good reviews. For less than $2 a smoke, you just can't beat it. I'll be buying these as long as they are avaiable.

Absolutely one of the best Maduro's

I have smoked Flor de Oliva, Perdomo, and Spanish Gallion Maduro, and for the money these are by far the best. Smooth, great burn, no bite, and wonderful right down to the last inch.

THEY'RE FANTASTIC

I've tried many other shapes, sizes, blends and brands. Some good, some not so good, but keep returning to these. They have been consistantly a good cigar since I started getting them over a year ago. The burn is great, the ash is great, but it does get a little hot after I get it down to less than 3/4 of an inch, but if I'm careful I can make it last a bit longer because I think it's worth it. I hope they never quit making these. They're worth more than what they get for them. (Oops, I don't think I should've said that.) THE BOTTOM LINE....THEY'RE FANTASTIC !!

VERY Good for the Money!!!!!!

I was really surprised by this cigar. I got these for a great deal on Monster.com
Great Taste. I would say a nice solid medium...slight sweetness from a maduro cigar..
I really would suggest you try a box.

Thoroughly Impressed

I just received my box of Maroma maduro robustos two days ago and loved them on the first one out of the box. What a steal at $37.99 a box with free shipping. I couldn't pass it up. Very sweet rich smoke. Not overpowering. Very even burn and paper-white ash. Picture perfect. Not bad for $37 bucks. Will buy again!

Decent not great

The wrappers tend to have problems as well the cigar is spongy and loose. its not made like a premium as there isnt enuff tobacco in each stick to qualify as a premium. the construction is fair at best, the taste is decent with a pretty good aroma with a bevy of smoke. this cigar gives off a great deal of smoke just sitting still. The finish is harsh with a terrible aftertaste. Slightly better than the horribly made bundle cigars but not much of a step upward. whomever thinks these are terrific also probably enjoys garcia y vega and machine made smokes as these are bout equal in taste to a machine made cigar.

Pleasant surprise

I am always a little cautious when it comes to bargain priced cigars. I read the reviews that others submitted and decided to take a chance and I ordered a box. First let me tell you what these cigars are not--They are not Padron, they are not Monte Cristo, and they are not vintage Cuban. What they are is a good every day cigar for about $1.50 a stick and that is not too shabby. If you want a "prestigious" cigar then pay $10-20 a pop. If you are not out to impress someone then buy these and enjoy them for what they are.

Everyday Wonder

Picked up a bow on Cigar Monster deal, great everyday smoke. Love the flavor and priced right. Good flavor and the burn is nice and even. There will always be a place in my humidor for a box or two of these!!

Just a great smoke at a great price!

This cigar is a find! This is perhaps the first inexpensive Maduro that I have deemed worthy of an additional purchase. A smooth, comfortable smoke with lots to like. A little correcting was needed on some of the sticks that i've smoked, not all, but that isn't uncommon with Maduros. I did order up another box, by the way! If you enjoy a Maduro taste, but sometimes crave a less intense cigar, you will enjoy these!

Wow! What a nice smoke!

Where do I start? This Honduran definitely has a serious Wow factor. Got my box of 25 and right out of the box they are perfect. I can't wait to see what some time in the humidor does. The smoke is very complex, lots of spice, with a hint of cocoa and an aroma that is absolutely second to none with lots of spice and a sweet overtone. Construction and burn are impressive with only a few minor corrections at the first third of the burn, only on a few. Now back to the flavor. It's hard to nail down but this is one impressive smoke. It is now one of my favorite daily smokes outranking cigars that are three times the price. Even though it's classified as medium in strength it has some serious headiness in a very good way. Every one I've smoked I nubbed down to the last half inch. It's one of those smokes you can't put down. To sum it all up, I don't think there is a better smoke available for the price. If you like a Maduro that is not a powerhouse (but close) this is the one. I can honestly say you can't go wrong with these. I'll be buying more for sure. Thanks FSS for a great smoke at a great price!

Great Lite-Gar

If you're looking for a smooth and light smoke, these are the lightest maduro I have ever tried. They are perfect for novice smokers that feel a strong cigar is too much. When I introduce a newbie to the world of cigars, I usually let them try one of my better and stronger cigars only to watch them turn green and look for an exit. Then I break out the Maroma Maduro on the next go-round and they are always surprised by the smoothness. I'm on the 3rd box and I keep them around for an everyday morning smoke.

Pleasant surprise

Got a box at auction, for a good price. Have smoked seven or eight now, and have enjoyed every single one. The construction is fine, and the draw has been very good. They have burned evenly, and I spent 90 minutes with one this morning, no re-lights, and enjoyed it immensely. I have enjoyed these cigars and will most likely be buying more in the future. I think Famous has a rising star on its' hands.

AWESOME

This is a great smoke. Its really a sleeper. The price makes it even better. I'm on my 4th box and each and every cigar is consistent in taste, draw, and smokeability. Bravo to the makers of these Maroma Maduro Robusto's. I will get more as a regular smoke. Well worth it, I think.

Poor excuse for a cigar!

NONE (0) of the sticks in the 5-pack I received burned worth a damn! Even after a couple of months in the humidor. They all burned extremely uneven/"raggedy-assed" and would not stay lit. Wrapper or binder or both seem "too heavy" for this...too thick. I finally just threw the last one away...didn't want the hassle of trying to smoke it since the taste is mediocre at best. Definitely a D-O-G in my book...I won't buy them again...there are too many other good smokes out there to waste my time and $$ on this disappointing cigar.

Disappointing

I had bought a couple of the Famous house brands before (Famous 3000 being one and its excellent) so i figured at under $10 for 5 I could'nt go wrong. Well, i did. unless these sticks are meant to sit in a humi for a long spell I gotta say these are just utterly forgettable. The flavor is literally that of cardboard with no sweetness, no spiciness, no strength whatsoever. I tried 3 at different times on different days just to be sure it wasn't me and sure enough, it wasn't. I suggest Famous perhaps taste a few occasionally because I can't fathom that these were allowed to go on the market with the flavor I got from this 5-pack.
Nice label design though.....

Enjoyable Smoke

Just received my 5 pack today. Upon opening I was ready to try this smoke and I must say it is an excellent cigar for the money. If you're wanting to make the move to a Maduro, this should be your first consideration. Very mellow, not harsh like others I've tried.

GREAT SMOKE

This is one hell of a smoke for the money. Always a little leary of brands I've never had before. I would definately search this one out. Constructed well, wrapper is very dark. Pleasant, suprisingly mild taste. I should not have left this review cause now these will be impossible to get!

Best of both worlds....

I was already a pretty big fan of the connecticut wrapper version of this blend. When I saw that there was a maduro coming out (I prefer Maduros) I was waiting anxiously. I finally got my first taste of the Maduro line... WOW! What a smoke. It is a nice mild-medium bodied blend with plenty of creamy flavors of earthy cedar and just the right spice on the palate. Cigar lovers of every preference can enjoy this one. It has the zest of a maduro with the mildness of a fine connecticut shade. Great construction, nice burn and plenty of creamy white smoke. For the price, I would say that you're not going to find a better smoke. Thank you FSS! As long as you keep these in stock I'll keep buying them!!
