great value

i won a pack of these in an auction a while back. the 1st one wasn't so hot, so i let the remaining 4 spend some time in the humi. the last 2 i had were surprisingly good. perfect burns all the way through and the robusto's ring gauge really enhanced the flavor. it was a full tasting, creamy, nutty and faintly sweet smoke. just what i personally want when i smoke a non-connecticut natural. and for the low price, you can't go wrong.

Now I'm confused

Hmm... Extra aging in my humidor didn't seem to do any favors for this smoke. My latest few have had buringing and wrapper issues, and the flavor seems bitter now. My Humi is set fine, I'm not seeing any troubles with my other cigars. I don't know, kind of a disappointment. I really liked this smoke out of the box. Not sure what to do now...

Bad

This is one of the worst, albeit strongest, cigars I have ever smoked. I bought a box based on the hype but was extremely disappointed. I have never been able to finish more than half, and I've tried about six of them. They are not only too strong, they lack complexity and don't burn well. Avoid these at all costs.

Not Bad

Purchased these as an afterthought to one of my favorites and was not a bad smoke. Liked the taste and burned pretty well but tobacco was loose and often fell apart at the end.

sweet corojo

Great value. Good construction with a firm yet still enjoyable draw. A very sweet corojo wrapper. Very rich flavors. Wonderful wrapper taste. Hints of some butterscotch and caramel. Nice toasty finish. Store at lower humidity for better burn results. Great cigar for this price.

Disappointing

Bought these in a sampler pack with among others an Olor maduro. Much the same experience with this as I wrote for the Olor; tight draw, wouldn't stay lit. Had to fight the cigar througout, and didn't get much taste in return. Glad to have a sample for this brand, and not sink $ into a box.

Still the best

I'm most of the way through my first box now, and my review would only get better. This cigar has everything you're looking for in a full bodied, full flavored smoke. The free 5-pack I recieved with my purchase was a little "worse for wear", with dry wrappers and odd flavor, but the box it's self has been some of the best smokes I've ever had. I would not hesitate to buy again, or recommend to other smokers who like strong cigars. This cigar is a true Famous Smoke deal.

What a powerhouse!

If you like full flavored cigars and dark Nicaraguan tobacco flavor, look no further than Nicarao. This is one of the most flavorful cigars I've ever had the pleasure to experience. Great construction, burn and smoke volume, I knew I was in for a treat the moment I lit it. The smoke is full of deep spice and earthiness from first puff to last, and it's potent enough to be a real pleasant assault on your taste buds. Certainly not for fans of mild cigars, this is a full flavored smoker's dream smoke. For me, no cigar in any price range is better than the Nicarao Robusto. I think I'll stock my humidor with them before they catch on!

Beware!

I tried this one again and it was nasty. Not a good cigar, if you can call it that. I won't even give the three I have left to a stranger. Firewood? No, flush, I can't stand the smell...

My first negative review...

This cigar is not good. The smell and taste are no good. I left the windows of my truck down overnight. The cigar looked nice, but that is not why I smoked it. I'll give it another try in case I got a bum stoogie but I'm in no rush.

Too much Maintanance!

Maintaining it lit is just to much work, but if you manage it is a great cigar. Draw is equivalant to a GrayCliff and with a plethera of full flavor. Buy when on sale, then decide if the battle is worth the flavor.

Very disapointed

Very disapointed in this new brand. The burn is extremely uneven, I have yet to smoke one that didn't burn down one side. Additionally, it doesn't burn! I have to re-light each one 4-5 times per smoke.

Holy Smoke!

I am smoking one of these cigars right now, 28 hours after I ordered them! That alone speaks volumes about Famous. The free aluminum travel humidor I got was more than a bonus, very nice item. As far as the cigar... all I can say is wow. I was strictly a Macanudo man until a few minutes ago. This cigar is very well made, smells great, tastes great and smokes even better! Highly reccomended.

Great Taste, Bad Construction

Great flavor, however the draw was too loose, plus, I had to keep relighting every 5 or ten minutes (humi kept at about 68%). Ended up throwing the last one away after I was half-way through. Has potential but probably won't buy again.

Good Smoke

A mottled ash, good draw, stays cool , good wrapper and construction. A bit on the strong side, but really good with your morning coffee.

Good smoke, but not a Cuban

Decent smoke, but comparing to a quality Cuban may
be a stretch. Started a bit harsh, but settled down
quickly w/ a decent aroma. Best part was the full, creamy smoke; I haven't had a good billowing 'gar in quite awhile. However, construction was a bit looser than I like. All in all, a decent value, and with summer coming soon, would make a good patio smoke.

What a surprise, thought I was smoking a Cuban!

Unbelievable earthy Cuban like smoke. Reminds me of the Cuban Montecristo #2. Somewhat of an uneven burn but not bad. I highly recommend these, great sunday afternoon smoke. Plan to age several for one year for the experience.
