Occidental Reserve Double Cigars

My favorite full flavor

This is an excellent cigar. Construction, draw, and burn are as good as they can be and the taste is the perfect balance between mild and strong. One of the best cigars I've smoke and certainly not one of priciest.

Lovely daily treat indeed!

My everyday smoke. This is an exceptional value for the money. Satisfyingly rich and spicy woody smoke. Very glad I came across this cigar and am enjoying it any time of day.

Surprisingly Delicious

This cigar is delicious, it begins with a tight draw and a smoothe toasted taste with flavours of nutmeg and mocha on the palate, it burns nice and smooth, the middle portion of the cigar gives way an ample amount of smoke, the construction is flawless with lots of white ashes. i believe Fuente makes this cigar as its one of the better constructed medium priced cigars and its quite tasty equal to the sancho panza double maduro which is as well a delicious mid priced smoke. im very impressed with the array of falvours packed into this cigar, the finish is lacking something, but its overall taste is terrific, the finish is a bit harsh with some after taste however the majority of the smoke its memorable and delicious., definitely a cigar worth enjoying with a good cognac or a glass of red wine.

What can I say, these rock

Have won several auctions for these babies and always enjoy them. I am always on the watch for an auction for a whole bundle/box. Three just ain't enough!

A really good smoke at a cheap price

Being a simple English bloke who rarely gets into US tobacconists, I had no idea what Occidental were until I read Gary's reviews over the last year or so. Have tried both Occidentals(depending on mood and time of day)and they have never dissapointed. Good in all departments really. Don't tell anyone, but I often buy the largest Occi's and cut them down so as not to look a total 'plank' when out and about....they still taste great. Another similar smoke in my simple opinion would be the Gisperts....

Exactly as advertised!

One thing I've found out about Famous Smoke Shop- their copywriter is usually right on the money when describing a cigar for advertisement in their catalog. This case is no exception. Sure,this cigar isn't one of the best out there but it has everything I'm looking for when I just want an everday cigar and don't have the time to relax with a 'premium' brand. It burned perfect,drew perfect and did have a unique taste definitely influenced by the Olor filler...which wasn't a bad thing. It was not overpowering like some Olor-filled cigars. I've tried both offerings from Occidental and prefer this double-broadleaf Maduro over the Connecticut leaf. My only regret in writing this review is that others may want this to which will only give me competition at the auction site. So please, don't drive the prices up too high, okay?!

Good enough to give away at a golf outing

The roll is a little lumpy and mushy but this cigar burns evenly, has adequate smoke volume, and has a pleasant although nondescript taste. I've had about 10 of them and they're simply unsatisfying. Each time I wished I had lit a good cigar instead. This cigar would be a good choice to give away at a golf outing - inexpensive, yet adequate to the task.

Not bad

These are a decent smoke, but in this price range you can find a better Maduro (Sancho Panza, Flor de Oliva).

Outstanding Smoke

Very rich and mild. Outstanding taste and aroma for under 2 bucks a stick. I could compare the taste and quality of burn to premium cigars at 3 times the price.

Nice tasting little cigar

Smokes well from start to finish. Very enjoyable taste; not harsh in the least. Very nice blend. I always look for a good recommendation, and now I can give one. At < $2.00 a stick with all costs considered, are you kidding me? Fantastic!

A MUST HAVE IN HUMIDOR.

this cigar is worth every buck!!!.I bought a sampler of these broad leaf maduros coronas and found a mild but rich in flavor cigar that builds to a medium body taste, great burn all around topnotch better than some top dollar cigars. will buy again!!!!.
