#1 Maduro

I have tried dozens upon dozens of maduros and keep coming back to Padron. Purchased a box after I smoked my first one. Nothing like it!

Good smoke, if this is what you're looking for

I've been smoking Nicaraguan puros for about a year & so I finally tried a Padron. I have to say that I think this brand is a little over hyped. The wrapper itself wasn't very oily & I really didn't get much flavor there. These are full bodied to be sure, but I'm just not sure I can justify the box price. I thought they were very dry & not very complex in flavor. I think they are good, but I just think there are better Nicaraguans out there at a better price.

Amazing, best smoke I've ever had.

The smoke was unreal, great flavor, perfect draw, and it was as good from first puff to last. The only problem was an ugly ash, but i hardly consider that a real problem. It began to tunnel a bit about halfway through but it was easily corrected. I found myself sipping my drink a little more than i usually do, but that just made it more enjoyable both the drink and cigar. This has been the best cigar I've smoked in my young career.

A typical, nice Padron

The Padron 5000 maduro is a typical, excellent Padron. This guy has a 56 ring gauge which may be too big for some smokers (myself included). However, it burns very well and has a nice draw. The flavors are earthy with a bit of spice. The spice is especially noticeable in the final 1/3 of the cigar. Although I prefer the 2000 and 3000 series, this is still a superior cigar that I wouldn't hesitate to smoke.

Very, very nice

This is a great cigar, especially for the money. It burned evenly and had a nice draw. The draw was almost too loose, but offered lots of creamy smoke. This is great beginners cigar that would also be appreciated by experienced smokers. A superior cigar.

I have smoked 6 of these so far over the last month or so.. the consistency is noticable.. every one smokes exactly the same.. the draw is unbelievable! very nice! in my opinion.. it comes on a but strong and harsh at first but then mellows and i end up smoking it until it burns my fingers wishing it would last a bit longer.. I plan to smoke many more of these.

Memorable Smoke

This cigar blew me away with it's complexities in such a short stick. Initially, it had heavy notes of wood/cedar, which tapered off after the first third, while the final third intensified and tasted much like the first third, and felt much like a punch to the throat. Also, there seemed to be a distinct aftertaste that lasted longer than usual, but I cannot say that it was entirely unpleasant.
All in all, it was a very full bodied and strong cigar, although I would probably not recommend it to beginners. It may be some time before I smoke another of these cigars, but I can honestly say that I was thinking about this cigar long after I finsihed smoking it, and I will certainly not forget the experience.

Pound for Pound Champ

Without a doubt, the P3K is the pound for pound champ of the cigar world when you consider the wallet, taste, time and overall smoking experience. Never a bad stick in any Padron batch... From Delicias to the P5Ks that I smoke - never plugged, terrific cocoa coffee taste with hints of wood roasted nuts in the background... plumes of smoke, smooth easy draw... If you've got time and an extra buck or two, the P5K or even the P4K are also terrific.... Suggest Naturals over Maduros on all Padrons, however... imo, Maduro wrapper tends to overpower the binder and filler at times, while the Natural complements perfectly.

With price considered, the Padron 3000 natural is my all-time favorite #1 go-to smoke. This Nicaraguan puro has strong earth tones along with a long cocoa and coffee finish. If you love the taste of great tobacco, this is your smoke.

My everyday smoke. Smoke filled.

Padron 2000 Natural is one of the most underrated cigars on the planet. Depending on where you buy them they are around $3 per stick. They are as good as smokes costing three times as much. Don't let them know in Miami. I like the price. And I love the cigar.

MY FIRST PADRON EVER - A BIT OF A LETDOWN

A couple of days ago in the evening I lit one up, all excited to smoke a part of the tradition... It wasn´t really a looker, but still decent looking stick. Kind of rustic looking with great cold smell. Cold draw was a bit loose as the stick was a bit underfilled, but still not bad. Lighting was easy and the smoke was abundant. But the taste was a great letdown. Sure, nutty and spicy at first, but after half an inch, it changed to papery taste with light spice and tobacco taste that stayed till the end. No complaints in the strenght department. Overall assesment: Maybe was a dud... Will smoke a few more and let you know...

Padron taste times two

Straight-up Padron flavor like the 5000: smooth, deep, not dark and not earthy but bright and rich. But oh man it's a sit-down smoke, strong and long, I'd prefer these over the other 5000/6000 shapes just because they deliver everything in those lines but magnified by a power of two. Not for empty stomachs or weak palates, highly recommended.

Disappointed, Disappointed, and Disappointed

I ordered up a 5 pack of Padron 3000 maduro. For the first time since smoking cigars have I ever taken back my statement that "You can't go wrong with a Padron." First and foremost, this cigar was disgracefully rolled. I have smoked "Backwoods" that looked more pleasant. Second, all five of them looked identical; each had the same pathetic roll as the next. There is no way this escaped a trained eye; it was plain as day. Now on to the taste; the taste was flat; strong and flat. No character whatsoever, no nice tobacco flavor, just strong smoke. The kick in the crotch was that I paid five bucks a stick for these smokes. Not even bundle cigars come out this bad for this price. It will be a cold day in hell before I waste another dime on what was once a no brainer. Padron, you have disappointed a once loyal customer!!

dont be fooled by the apperance,it's a great smoke

At first glance the cigar looked messy, roll wasnt quite even, but the maduro wrapper had a good oily sheen, draw was great, burn was even. pre light scent reminded me of a horse stall... meaning hickory wood and hay. the taste was of coffee bean and coacoa it was smooth and held 3" of ash before falling off, the construction of the 5000 is much better so if your not concerned with a good looking cigar go for the 3000, or 2000 siries, because the tobacco for the maduros is exclent, rivals cigars cossting 3x the 3 dollar price tag.

My Favorite Cigar...Period!

When it comes to cigars, one's favorite may be another's turd, but the Padron 4000 is my favorite. For reference, I enjoy cigars like the Carlos Torano Excalibur 1959 Silver Anniversary, Punch Rare Corojo, and Sancho Panza Dulcinea. If you like a medium-full bodied cigar with great flavor and lots of billowing smoke, try this one. I, like many of you, have tried many different brands looking for THAT cigar, and this is mine.

So perfect, it just seems wrong....

Always in mind but seldom smoked, I broke down and bought a box from FSS, recently a Cigar Pal gave me several of these 4000M
I smoked a couple and have got to say it. It's almost too perfect... Now I know my tastes lean towards cigars that slap my tastebuds around a little. But the Padrons carry the same rich smooth smoke form begining to end.
Its so consistent in its uncomplex but delicious flavour, it almost seems a more than little mild. It's construction is quite flawless, the toothy Padron signature wrapper, is in its own right, somthing to marvel at.
I don't know quite how to phrase it....
Thisa cigar is so perfect, so consistant, it's almost anomalous.....

babe magnet

Had one today. Solid construction, full flavor. Toward the end it wanted to go out too easily. But that's what the matches are for. Only Mo or his brother, Ron, would complain about such. The label does not say where it's made. Once I discovered it was Cuban seed from Nicaragua, it tasted even better. Nicaragua is making the best cigars in the world these days. I'm not throwing out my Dominicans, but the humidor will be adding a box of Padron ASAP.

Love them as much as the big ones.

I am about half way through my box of 30, and have only had one that was a clunker. The rest taste as good and the full sized ones. The ash on every one goes at least half way down before dropping. The smoke is rich. My coworkers get envious every time I light one up. Also, I suggest the 1964 Anneversary series. My girlfriend (who doesn't smoke by the way) gave me an Anniversary pack for my very first Padron, and I will never forget that wonderful flavor. Worth bellying up the bucks to the bar.

MY CIGAR - What Can I Say

GREAT SMOKE! This and the 3000 are the measure of a cigar for me. The wrappers are thick, oily and stay intact. Go ahead and finger roll. Great cocoa and chocolate taste as advertised and mentioned repeatedly by others. Taste, in as much as complexity, is THE BEST. Draw is so perfect. I've smoked too many to count and every one is just as good as the last... Padron Cigars get Cigar Mag cudos like no other brand. Before I tried'em I wondered what was going on. Very good, full-bodied smoke, but inconsistent

I tried both the natural and maduro--both wrappers were superb, but the tobacco flavor was very inconsistent for both. It was VERY tasty at times, rather harsh at other times. I find Te-Amo to be similar, just slightly milder, and more consistent overall--a better value.

High quality in every respect

I usually smoke Camacho El-Legendario Berthas and CAO Brazillia Amazons. The Padron is every bit the equal and at a nice price < $4 each. I like the aroma and get some earthiness along with coco and coffee. The draw is a little loose, but some humidor time fixes that right up. I smoke these right down to the nub! The 56 ring is great for giving complexity yet not so big as to be cumbersom. This cigar has nice medium flavor but no bitter aftertaste or bite. The 5 1/2 legenth is just right for about 35 - 40 minutes and is consistent start to finish. You can pay more for a premium, but I dont know why you would.

Not worth the price.

Padrons are my favorite brand and I hate to write a bad review on them but the fact is the ambassador is the bottom of the line and unless I can get a great deal on them, I probably won't buy any more from stock. The biggest problem is they are grossly inconsistent. I have yet to smoke a box and not have at least 3 or 4 that would not draw or were completely plugged. Some also have soft spots or stems causing poor burns and or runs. But when you do get a good one they are very good! At a regular price of $85+ per box having to throw away 3 or 4 with a couple more having bad burns is not worth the price to look for the good ones.

Great Everyday Smoke

This is one of my go-to cigars. Exceptional flavor for the price. Yes, the 1964 and 1926 cigars are better but look at the price difference. Best gar' for the money

I loved the fumas as an everyday cigar, but they aren't making them anymore. I tried the londres and I gotta tell ya for a little over 2 bucks a stick you'll be hard pressed to find anything close to these. The consruction is about a 16/20 as they tend to unravell towards the last third of the cigar. The burn I'd give a 15/15 as I only had to ash it 3 times consistantly over three cigars. The draw is a 12/15 could be a little firmer, and the appearance about a 15/25(definately not the prettiest cigar out there, check out the 64 anniversaries) and the taste I would give a 23/25 only because I haven't tried the thousand series yet, and I want to leave margin for what I can only anticipate as perfection. Bottom line: If you're looking for a good tasting flavorful cigar with the sweet maduro taste and the complex favos and pure smoothness of a top notch cigar at an unbelievable price. Look no further. The Padron 2000 has a terrific draw, a real tobacco taste, but no surprises. It is a great everyday cigar for the price. The appearance is a dark and luscious wrapper. However, The construction is very inconsistent
unraveling wrappers and cigars that have to be re-lit from time to time are the greatest of problems. Overall this cigar is above average but not in the A-category. If you want the best of Padron, you should definitely go with a 1964 or 1926 series. Dont cut yourself short just to save a few bucks.

Nice, but disappointing

I'm fairly new to cigar smoking, so I do some research of reviews and ratings before I try a new cigar. The readers here and on other sites sing the praises of Padron thousands series cigars, so I thought I'd give them a try. After having my third out of the four pack, I cannot honestly say that this was all that satisfying. The burn was good, the construction nice, but the draw was a bit heavy and didn't produce the smoke I thought it should until halfway through. The big disappointment was the taste. I would say it was one dimensional and a bit harsh. I prefer maduros but was not pleased by the taste of this at all. I've smoked other maduros that are much more flavorful and smooth. My Rocky Patel seconds are way better than this. Going against the hype, I wouldn't buy this again

I'v tried a lot of different cigars when I started smoking cigars about 3 years ago, I went thru a lot of samplers and I think I'm at the finish line, because Padron cigars are the most consistent cigars on the market.I smoked a good 12 boxes of 25 and found maybe a few runners all the others just perfect.

not bad for the price

I saw this cigar a the local shop for 2.55 and decided to try it... before lighting it, it smelled like a chocolate bar, but after lighting the first quater of an inch was kinda harsh then it smoothed out with a slight sweetness. It wasn't a bad price and not a bad smoke, but just not a complex as I wanted it to be, it was kinda flat, maybe I need a bigger ring guage to experience more complexity, although LGC maduros are complex even with the smaller ring gauges. Overall not bad for the price, but there are better maduros out there at a reasonable price too.
