grate smoke

a grate smoke when you don't have the time

Yup!

I liked it a lot, more concentrated tastes in a smaller ring gage size as compared to the "big-guys" in the line

Great Cigar- "but"

This particular Partagas Black was my first and my down right favorite until about 4 months ago I started getting Maximo's that were very hard to draw. I became disenchanted with this size and went to the Classico for after work and the Bravo during the day when I only have about 45 minutes. Bottom Line Partagas Black, best smoke ever

Strong, but good

This cigar was awesome, the draw was perfect, the burn was even, and the taste had notes of coffee and chocolate the whole way through.....great cigar to have in the humidor. However this cigar will knock you out, very strong!

Fooled me twice

I bought two boxes expecting to use them as a special occasion smoke and they were so bad that I am writing my first negative review after several years as a customer. All 16 had terrible draws and were imposible to keep lit. Two had a really lousy taste probably due to the huge leaf stems rolled into the cigar. Based on this sample, Don't buy.

This little cigar has all of the flavor and aroma of its big brothers with out some of the blend consistancy issues of other small cigars. I'm a big fan!

An amazing little cigar that thinks its bigger.

QUite an amazing little Partagas.Strong and complex. It kind of kicks your arse but doesnt overpower for the sake of it....

I GUESS SIZE DOESN'T MATTER!

The best "mini" on the market. HUGE flavor in a small package. I like to give these out to friends after an "office" luncheon.Anytime of day is a good to time to spend 30 minutes with one of these!

SIMPLY MY FAVORITE SMOKE!!!

This is and has been my favorite smoke for the last 3 years. I have tried to find ANYTHING that comes close, with no success. From its sweet start to the last spicy drag. Sweet, coffee, chocolatle flavors throughout. In my opinion this is the best stick you can buy for under 10 bucks!

great cigar

Sometimes I wonder about these people who give review and don't even know what the hell their smoking. Mike from Calif. called the wrapper the best Maduro he ever smoked.???????? What the hell are you smoking. Dark Natural dummy. Sorry, I couldn't resist

Busted

Received thru a 5 pack frenzy and these were not typical of those delicious sticks found in a box. These were impossible to draw and keep lit and I let it set outside the humidor for two weeks. Obviously this batch was not properly seasoned.

Not sure what to think about it

I tried this cigar and initially it was very good. I liked the taste and the draw was good.
But, after about 1/4 of it, I noticed it was VERY hard to draw. I couldn't finish it because it was like trying to suck a thick McDonald's shake through a tiny straw.
I'm gonna try another one to see if it redeems itself.

Mixed opinion

Beautiful cigar but it was rolled too tightly. I was so distracted by the tight draw that it was difficult to concentrate on the actual quality of the smoke. Maybe I'll have better luck with the next one.

BOLD - FULL BODY

A strong bold cigar - rich flavor but still very smooth - not for beginners --- Worth Trying

Strong but Great!

These little cigars pack quite a punch! I have been smoking cigarss for almost two years now and have been venturing into the full flavored realm of smoking bliss. I had heard great reviews about Partagas Black and decided to give them a try. The flavor, burn, and build are excellent. I did go away very light headed though. It was well worth the dizziness. I think I'll order a box of a larger size and see how it goes. They are strong but GREAT!!!!

Funky taste & smell

I'm a fan of Partagas in general, but I didn't really like this style. The taste and smell reminded me of sweaty b.o., as if the roller hadn't washed up before work. I finished most of it, but won't buy it again.

Good Cigar

I purchased a box of these a few months ago and finally got around to giving the first one a try. It burned perfectly and had a wonderful aroma. I would say that it was medium bodied, but full flavor with no harshness. This was not a complex smoke; the flavor was the same from start to finish, but it was an enjoyable flavor. Rich and slightly sweet. The price makes this an absolute bargain.

Hooked for Two Years

I've been consistently smoking these for over two years, but be forewarned--a) about two of every box have a terrible draw (tight/plug), and you can only cut so far; b) about two of every box seem to have a tunnel/uneven burn. However, I simply love the taste and aroma and have been willing to accept few bad sticks in each box. The other reviews do a good job describing the taste. Enjoy!

Full flavor, sweet smoke, and a new favorite!

This cigar was introduced to me by a friend who owned a local cigar shop and it was highly recommended. Taking his recommendation seriously, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this cigar. It took me a while to realize that the pleasant sweetness in the air was not a perfume of a lovely lady but the smoke from my cigar. You will enjoy it and others around you will comment you on your great taste in cigars.

This is my favorite of the black label line. This is a smooth and easy smoke with a easy draw. This full bodied cigar is very easy on the taste buds and goes great with either Jack Daniels Single Barrel or Knob Creek Small batch.

One of the best Cigars in the world Period!!

What can I say, sometimes things can be too good to be real, and actually be real!!
This cigar is one of the most astonishing smokes in my cabinet. Make no mistake it may not be for everybody, especially if you don´t like a strong robust cigar that tastes like nothing else on the market. The wrapper is rich & soft. The cigar has a feel like no other cigar I have ever experienced. This cigar was Never meant to be an every day smoke,(In my opinion) but let me tell ya, it´s simply one of best cigars I have ever smoked, and on my list, is one of the 10 best smokes in the world, (an yes my list does consider Cubans) I just checked the price today and was shocked.

Piramide - Very Nice

I like the Partagas flavor, but the draw on the Black Lable Clasico was too light for my liking, and the burn was inconsistent. I tried the Piramide and I found the draw and burn much nicer. I am swithch to the Piramide from now on.

WOW!

Just tried my first Partagas Balck Magnifico and all I can say is WOW!!! What a cigar. This is my new regular smoke. These blow the doors off of sticks costing twice as much. I agree with the rest here. From start to finish you'd be hard pressed to find a better smoke period. The price is a bonus.

Very Nice

This is a very nice short smoke for the money, at slightly more than a buck a smoke at Famous. I love the spicy full bodied flavor; my only issue is with the consistency. Out of a tin of five, two were too tightly rolled to really enjoy. That said, for the price its the best available in my opinion. If you're willing to spend two bucks a pop, try the very consistent Rocky Patel Sungrown Juniors.

real zinger...

Got a five pack on auction, as I'd tried the Piramid and Tubo from my local cigar shop and loved them. Though the piramid was much stronger to me than the tubo (due to the shape I'm sure). When the five pack arrived I immediatley wanted to look at them, very beautiful wrapper. I also immediatley lit one up, and it was not even close to the wonderfully complex and toasty flavor of the two I had from the local shop. So I let them rest, 3 months....Now I have that wonderful flavor I longed for but two of the remaining four have small splits in the wrapper like the cigar expanded??? None of this from my other cigars and the humidity is always 68-71%. Well at least I have the flavor, but if you don't smoke much the strength of this may be too much for you.

My New Favorite Cigar

I bought one of these Maximo Tubo's from a cigar shop the other day mainly so I could re-use the tube when I want to take 1 cigar with me on motorcycle rides, etc. I also thought I could try a Partagas since I had never smoked one. It is now my new favorite cigar. It tastes wonderful, burns even, had a nice draw, & even looks cool because it's black. I'm looking forward to smoking another one soon.

Exceptional Smoke

Being a maduro fan i've tried many a cigar until i tried this one. Partagas Black Label Magnificos are just about the only cigar I now smoke. An excellent maduro. As stated above this is the reason why I smoke. I am at the young age of 18 (soon to be 19) but I have definitely have had my fair share of Smokes (and what a joy it has been) but I must say The Partagas Black label Magnifico Is why I smoke. A cigar like many things can define your personality. I was lucky enough to find this beauty my first week after turning 18. Ive had boxes and boxes of its robust taste since. Smooth draw Lots of smoke white ash and the oh so delicious cocoa coffee taste. Try at least one you wont regret it.

I WIN! One the best impressions from a cigar!

Partagas Black Label Bravos are awesome! I always favored Partagas cigars, so trying this was a must for me. WOW! I have since given these away as single cigar gifts, and the next thing I know, Im ordering these cigars by the box for everyone! But I dont mind at all. You have to share the better things in life with family and friends first. The cigar has a great smell, nice rich smoke, a long beautiful ash and a decent draw. They tend to be rolled tight and have to be lit up a few times, but they are well worth the extra lights. A Black Label Bravo and a black cup of coffee (or espresso if you prefer) to start the day and/or end one and youre in good company with these Partagas cigars. The Black Label Prontos are also a fine small ring cigar. They burn well, draw well and hold a good ash. Cant say enough good things about theses babies. Good smoking to you.

Little stick with a BIG flavor

Proof that dynamite comes in small packages - this little smoke is unbelievable. Wonderfully aromatic wrapper...if I didn't know better, I'd swear somebody had laced it with Jack Daniel's. Incredibly rich and satisfying flavor...almost as if Mr. Cifuentes has invented a smokable espresso. 20 minutes very well spent.

I love this one

This beauty is one of my favorites. I always keep a few one hand. Very rich and bold. A fine looking cigar from it's oily black wrapper to it's outstanding constuction. It could have a better burn, tends to burn unevenly.

Consistently High Quality

I've been a La Gloria Cubana (Miami) Maduro fan for years. Now I find that my La Glorias are taking a back seat to these dark beauties. Smooth draw, superb taste, (albeit a bit strong for non-maduro smokers), and great looks. I always keep these around now. If there is any one drawback it is that they tend to need re-lighting about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the finish.

What a smoke!

Now this is an excellent smoke. Certianly not for fans of the mild blends, this smoke packs a punch from first puff to last. But it's a smooth smoke, with no harshness or "sting" you get with some full bodied smokes.
The only drawback is the inconsistant burn. On all the Black Labels I've smoked, about half way through it starts to tunnel or burn hotter on one side, needing some extra lighting to keep it burning fairly even.
Still, well worth the effort for a cigar of this caliber.

Where to begin, what a cigar!

I ran out of cigars late one evening and took the 30 minute drive to my local Tinder Box where I bought a few cigars while waiting for my shipment of Hoyo Dark Sumatras from Famous. One was a Partagas Black Lable Magnifico. The cigar is a delight, to look at and to smoke. A cigar for experienced folks, from the first moment to last, a very powerful and complex experience, good to taste even before lighting it. Try it with a little Spanish Absinth for a completely consciousness expanding event.

Awesome

Bought several Bravo singles over three years ago, and still have one left. It's an awesome fireplug, with great chocolate, coffee, and earthy tones. Not for the beginner, and definitely a much better smoke if you are patient enough to let the tobaccos age at least a couple of years in the humidor, as all my cigars have extensive additional aging. It's an excellent after dinner cigar, with a bold and smooth brandy or cognac, but not a good idea to try one on an empty stomach. Have not had a single draw or burn issue. It's a keeper.
