Gotta love these!

This is by far - the BEST Perdomo I have ever smoked. None other have even come close. The flavor is wonderful and the burn/draw are good as well. Great for a change of pace from the usual full bodied fare.

Can Mild Really Be Flavorful??

What seemed like eons ago, I was a fan of mild cigars. My tastes have come a long way and I seldom find myself smoking the cigars that got me into this hobby and for a good reason; they just don't satisfy. They taste like they always did, but no satisfaction. Enter Perdomo Reserve Champagne. First, it's absolutely beautiful to look at. Light it up and smoke away. It is a mild cigar, but is incredibly flavorful. I'd say the flavor actually overwhelms your tastebuds, which is a good thing!! This goes great with a nice cup of coffee on a nice sunny morning. You can be comfortable offering this cigar to a beginner or a well seasoned smoker.

I will keep some of these stocked in one of my humidors for those days when i just want to kick back and relax with some good tequilla and smoke a great cigar... and the reserve champagne is a great cigar. Not what I expected

After reading the rave reviews, i thought id give one a shot. I believe this cigar is for you or not, there is no in between. I thought it was alright, not a must have as most say it is. Its a nice mild-medium smoke, good draw, but the flavor didnt wow me. Not as creamy as I expected. Give one a try before buying a bundle.

my new go to cigar.

no matter what your taste perdomo cigars stand alone great flavor great aroma great taste. Try some today.

One of the best

Very solid cigar. Pricey, worth every penny but best if you can get on an auction. Good mild cigar with a nice consistent burn and good construction. This has been moved into my humidor as a staple.

Shockingly Good!!!

I am a maduro smoker, love the Perdomo Lot 23. Got one of these in a sampler pack with Lot 23 purchase. The smell of the cigar was unique...like honey or molasses. I wasn't sure if I would like it - I was blown away. I was chasing my fellow cigar smokers down to tell them about this cigar. A Champagne bundle will be my next purchase.

Silky Satisfaction

The construction is superb, lights once, burns evenly. The bouquet of flavours develop waves of aromatic smoke, with lush, delightful hints of eathy nuances. This cigar is Silky Satisfaction, builds to a creamy finish. Phenominal Cigar that feels and tastes like pure tobacco silk.

Another Stunner from Perdomo

First and foremost, this in an incredibly beautiful cigar. Not a single flaw in the wrapper, no lumps underneath, and will smoke perfectly from start to nub. The taste was good and a bit on the strong side, more medium-full than medium. I am going to let some of these age for a while, as the one I had only spent a week in the humidor. If you ever find yourself needing to make a lasting impression, don't hesitate to offer one of these cigars.

My favorite

Simply put--this is a beautiful looking cigar with a consistent creamy medium bodied taste. I don't smoke these every day but rather save them to celebrate significant events. They are that good.

Wow indeed

Got this Champagne Robusto in an assortment and it was love at first puff. I usually smoke stronger cigars, but this was so smooth and tasty that it was satisfying dispite the fact that it was very mild. I just bought a five pack. These are yummy cigars.

Wow

This cigar is amazing. I would highly recommend this cigar to any one who wants a mild cigar with really nice flavor. Everything about the cigar is just about perfect. I know that I will be buying these again and again.

The ideal companion to a fine scotch

The review by Overworked is right on. I find the cigar to be a full-bodied mixture of cedar and sweet spice, with a French vanilla toffee finish. The cigar is too strong, for my taste, as a morning smoke--I would prefer it after dinner. The Connecticut shade wrapper, which I have experienced with other cigars, tends to burn poorly, and has to be smoked "hot" or it will go out, which is fine with me, since I like to puff away! (Not a good choice for the golf course.) Its flavor more than makes up for its burn shortcomings. This cigar is worth the price.

A Very Pleasant Surprise

Recently I was offered a Reserve Champagne Robusto by a friend of mine, due to it's light wrapper I did not expect much. Wow was I surprised, I loved it. Delicious from start to finish, creamy and nutty. Never had this much flavor from a cigar with a Conneticut wrapper. These are now a staple in my humidor.

What a wonderful suprise !!

You first look at this cigar and you're thinking, "Is this going to have any taste?" If you are thinking this, you're going to get fooled. Remember, the binder & filler are both from Nicaragua. And the Conneticut wrapper is aged to perfection. The result -- a medium body flavor bomb! Nuts, creamy gourmet coffee undertones, and hints of cinnamon and caramel take over your palate. And a nice long, light pleasant finish is noted throughout this wonderful cigar. It's often overlooked. For all you dedicated cigar connoisseurs out there, don't let the very light color of this cigar turn you away.

Pleasant Surprise

I received 5 of these in a "travel-dor" case special. Really didn't think I'd like them as they even look mild and I'm an El Rico, Joya Antano type smoker. Well, they were actually a very pleasant and fairly tasty cigar. If you want a mid day stick or something on a hot late afternon, early evening this is a quality choice.

perfect.

Great draw, amazing taste, good look and smell, overall the perfect cigar. I've tried several cigars but none were as enjoyable. The only part I didn't like was that about an inch and a half away from the cap it ended. I found the cigar for me. I'm a beginner but if you don't believe me just read what everyone else has written.

A great cigar

The champagnes are excellent cigars, very mild and smooth, not overly complex though. They get even smoother with aging, and very good construction with a great draw, definately a great smoke.

Amazing

Absolutely incredible...this is my favorite cigar, hands down. Flawless construction, perfect draw, clouds of thick, white smoke, even burn, and a gorgeous light grey ash that hangs on for ever. I've smoked dozens of both the robustos and the figurados and have yet to find a dud. I'd recomend these to anyone from beginner to seasoned pro.

Lots of flavor, yet mild. Davidoff alternative

A very nice cigar. Whenever I visit back to the states I try non-Cubans for a change of pace, and am usually VERY disapointed. Not here. A nice afternoon smoke. Full of flavor, yet not a nicotine bomb like a lot of other crap out there. My only probelem with this line is they are all fat ring gages....50+:-(. Make a smaller ring gare Nick. LOL

Biggest dissapointment yet...

I purchased an assortment of cigars with my first purchase from Famous and this pack was without question the biggest dissapointment. So far I have enjoyed all of my other selection, especially the Arturo Fuente Best Seller, and rothschild. Go for them instead. You will be pleased.

Perfect

I have been smoking a lot of full strength cigars and was wanting something a little more mellow. This cigar is the ticket. A friend gave me one of these and I savored every puff. Next box on my want list.

One of the best smokes smokes I've had in a while

This is a top notch cigar, from the construction to the burn, all the way down to the nub. The draw - just about perfect, effortless. The taste starts out a tad uneven, but smooths out quickly. "Creamy" is quite the accurate description, excellent mild taste, even the aftertaste lingers nicely. While not exactly "cheap" I still think it's one of the best bang for the buck cigars...

A Real Treat

This is one of the more pleasurable mellow cigars out there. The draw is smooth and the delivery of cream notes is subtle at first then noticeable to the point of perfection. I've been smoking cigars for quite some time and I can tell you that this cigar is a pure treat. I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for a smooth natural shade. It's not just about Cuban and Dominican cigars anymore.

these are the greatest cigars i have ever smoked soooo creamy and with body

What A Surprise!

I usually don't like mild smokes. As I write this I have one of these babies lit and I have to say it is just bliss! The clouds of thick tasty smoke pours from this thing. The burn and draw has been perfect so far and I am half way through already. The smell is just so good that I almost want to light up another once I am finished with this one. This was given to me by a friend and he said it was a decent smoke. Well, he was right and then some! I will be ordering some for myself thank you!

Creamy, smooth, rich, complex, mild cigar

This is a generous cigar in every way. It is mild, well made, claro, almost candela wrapper with a rich creamy, full smoke. Perfect draw, perfect construction, slightly loose at the foot and steadily thicker. The wrapper has little aroma before being lit but a wonderful, heady aroma vaguely reminiscent of a café latté with faint overtones of sandalwood, when burning. It complements a rich, mild filler, with no harshness, which builds steadily until there is a solid nicotine buzz for the last three inches. There is a faint bite at the back of the throat at first, not unpleasant. Through the middle third of the cigar, the light wrapper asserts itself, adding a slight, complex fruity note. The finish is smooth with an aftertaste which matches a Bailey's Cream or a flan; no sweetness per se, but a perfect morning cigar, rather than a heavy hit, despite the thick full smoke. This cigar is worth sitting next to as well as smoking!

A surprising Nicaraguan cigar!

Just received the Perdomo's, and straight out of the cello I fired one up. Noticed a little looseness about 1 inch from the cap... but it lit perfectly, smoked wonderfully. The taste was nice, the draw perfect, smoke was dense and very noticeable. Had to smoke it outside my hotel, and nonetheless, a few people parking in the hotel turned and asked me what I was smoking, and that was the give-away, they said it smelled great, and all this on a very windy South Texas evening. Guess that's a statement!

Like smoking a "hay" cigar - buy something else!

Okay, I'm back after smoking another one of these, and am standing by original comments! The burn and draw are fine, but the flavor is just plain harsh! Not strong, but harsh. I was paying careful attention and not just casually smoking and here's what I noticed; the cigar looks and smells great prior to lighting, well constructed from the outside, after cutting I noticed some green tobacco pieces and the more I looked at it from the outside it seemed that there were some spots of a different color to be seen through the wrapper - are they putting uncured filler in these!!!???, after lighting not truly terrible, but pretty darn bad especially considering all the talk about the "carefully selected 5 year old Conn. wrapper" - basically tastes like smoking hay. After about 1/2 way through a big/long stick (C), I gave up and lit up a Graycliff (I know, not in the same price range) and holly crap, the difference was like night and day! Perdomo reserve champagne's are Very, Very Average! I WILL NOT buy these again, and to steal from others reviews "why do people like these?" Many, many other cigars in this price range that are so, so much better - Torano, Hoyo, Upmann, R&J etc. Anybody want my remaining 3 before I pawn them off on somebody?

Looks ands smells great, tastes... VERY AVERAGE!

After the good reviews above, I bought a 5 pack. They look beautiful in their golden cellophane, and smell great prior to light up. Then, a very mediocore smoke. In fact a bit harsh and bitter. The looks, burn, et all were great, but a real let down in the flavor department - like a drug store cigar. Won't be buying these again. Maybe I got a bad one?

I love Cigars and blowing smoke rings

I usually don't smoke cigars, but I eat the butts of them when I find them on the street. This particular cigar butt was extremely tasty, I enjoyed every minute of the hour I chewed on it. Superb display of rolling talent, I would recommend this to anyone else who likes eating the tobacco instead of harming your lungs.

Mild, Smooth and Flavorful

I have smoked several of these, and found them to be one of my favorites. Mild but flavorful, very smooth, easy smoking cigar. If there is one drawback, it is that the wrapper is perhaps a little delicate. Probably the torpedo would avoid that problem. Perdomo typically makes excellent torpedos. Unfortunately, this cigar is a bit pricey for an everyday smoke, but is nice to have for those special occasions.

A FINE CREAMY MILD TO MEDIUM CIGAR

THE CHAMPAGNE CIGARS HAVE A VERY EXCELLENT FLAVOR

Not as good as I was hoping

I just smoked one of these last night with high expectations. First of all the strength is much more fuller then described. While the burn was ok the ash was a dirty grey. Taste was ok you could tell it was well aged but just didn't have the memorable taste it was supposed to deliver for a pricey cigar from Perdomo.
