I couldn't believe my tasebuds!

I bought a 10 pack from one of the Famous Auctions. I was expecting a fair to moderate quality Maduro cigar. Was I pleasantly surprised!!! For the money I Can't remember when I have enjoyed a cigar more! The flavor was creamy with a slight sweet after taste, an even burn, and nice aroma. I will definitely buy some more when I have more room in my humidor!

Primo for the Dinero

These will be in my humidor just pretty much forever. Of all the el-cheapo cigars I have tried, in my quest to find a truly good 'cheap' cigar, these have been head-and-shoulders above the rest. Fairly good burn, good draw and an absolutely fine flavor. Don't discontinue them, Famous, now that I'm 'hooked'!

so far not so good

Tried this biggy on cigar monster as a morning golf cigar. So far a little soft and really no flavor at all. Guess I'll give it some more hummy time...at this price I can afford to wait I guess.

Slight Acid Taste, fair burn, consistent.

They had a slight acid taste that many enjoy, not too harsh but there. Sometimes given to running but a fair burn. They were consistent and that's a good thing. Lastly, ya can't beat the price!

These vary in quality a lot

I keep re_visiting these as I have them scattered around different places. A couple of years ago they floated my boat then the next were only average, now the latest bundle just have no flavour at all. I still crave a Candela like the old Don Tomas babies. As a cheap smoke there are better at Famous but keep them for a while if you have the space and see if they do it for you.

Don't tell anyone about these, keep the price low

This cigar tastes so good with coffee, american whiskey, or a strong malt like a Bass Pale Ale or Sam Adam's Boston Lager, you literally won't believe what your taste buds are telling you. I can't believe the price is so low. I picked up a box at auction for like $10(no sh*t, I think it was actually $9). I'm four cigars into the bundle and I give them a 10 for consistency. Let's all agree right now that we won't bid more than $10, and just take turns picking up a bundle every few months as they come up for auction :)

Smokey

- Had an awful lot of stems! Smokey, mid bodied smoke with a little funky aftertaste. The smokey flavor dominates, not earthy at all. Okay for $1.50.

So-So cigar for the money

I received one of these in a sampler. Its hard to judge a cigar just smoking one....but...
The one I had the construction wasnt the worlds best..rough apperance..the draw was decent..but the tobacco taste is green..I would say if you aged these for about three months the taste may improve...but for the money try the Famous Nicaraguan..more bang for your buck in that smoke for sure.

Hey for a little over a buck...

I found Primo's to be remarkably ordinary with a hard draw and uneven burn, the appearence is blemished. I must say I did find one or two that were simply satisfactory, yet the name Primo de Cuba manages to keep my wifes' less than knowledgable humidor raiding friends out of the Cohiba's and Partaga's underneath. For about a buck a pop it's worth it to keep around, if for no other reason than to keep "guests" from smoking your quality smokes. (Ok so this may be a less than honest practice toward my spouses friends but hey, ya gotta do, what ya gotta do)

IT might be me but these are just like giveaway american market cigars that dissapointed compared to others in the same range. They are reasonable construction for the price but very harsh with no style.

Blue Collar Smoke

Very worthy of a try! I picked up this monster cigar on auction for $17 for a bundle of 25. At a price of less than a buck, why not give it a shot. I fired up this smoke while I was cutting my lawn and doing yard work for the first time this year. With that said, I chopped, chewed, smoked and ate this cigar. It lasted for about two hours and all the while it held an even burn. The draw was easy and I smoked this to the nub. The taste was a mild flavor of spice and cinnamon. This big guy measures in at 8.5 x 52 and is made on Honduran grown long fillers and finished with a natural wrapper. I abused this smoke while doing manual labor and it stood the test. Kudos! If your looking for a great deal, pick up the General. MonkeyDan Rating: 84

They taste Green

These things have a Green taste. They aren't really bad cigars. Construction and draw are OK...they just taste "green" as if the leaves were picked a week ago, rolled two days ago and here they are - fresh at your Cigar Store.

Better than the average 2nd tier cigar.

Good looking cigar but not top-o-the-line quality. Fair to good everyday chewer. Yes it chewed better than it smoked. Draw was easy and cionsistant in the ones I've already smoked, but the burn, ah the burn, if only it was even and not so "one sided" as it burned down. It was hard to keep lit also, but I will get more. For some strange reason, I like them. Maybe cause it looks good hanging from the mouth or maybe for a short time it makes me feel like Clint Eastwood.

Horrible

This was the worst cigar I've ever experienced. I purchased two bundles, almost every single cigar had poor draw and uneven burn. It was so bad I actually had some luck cutting each in half (8 1/2 x 54), and only then could I get a fairly decent burn and draw. The consistency was good in that pretty much every single cigar was bad! Flavor was okay, but cigar was so much work at no time could I actually really enjoy it Never again.

Where's the Flavor Coming From

I won an auction bundle at 50% off the Famous price and was reluctant to say the least, what the hay, it can be a good yard stick. The night before I had smoked a Gran Habano#5 and a Don Lino Africa, so you get an impression of what I like. 2 minutes into this black beauty, Maduro of course, I was really taken with this cigar. This is to good to be true. Good Draw and construction, I had to knock the ash off at 2 inches. Great volumes of full bodied flavorful smoke, not as peppery as the Habano#5 but had an excellent flavor. I tried a COA Brazilia last week... it may have been a bad one but it was flavorless compared to this cigar. Thanks Famous and I will be buying more.

Great taste, construction & consistency

This cigar is worth several times the sale price. It has a firm, silvery-white ash; great construction and taste, slow-burning with oodles of white smoke. Leaves a pleasant sensation on the palate with peppery notes.

Double Claro

Very mild as expected and a little flavourless, but an acceptable day smoke that in the UK where cannabis can be smoked without fear in public. It does get a few comments like "huge reefer dude" - actually no one here would say dude for fear of death or worse.

Pleasantly surprised!

I received a bundle of Toros (natural) today and decided to try one this evening. I had my doubts because of the price, but was pleasantly surprised. I find the appearance is "earthy", the flavor mild and pleasing, the aroma fragrant, the burn even and consistent, the draw easy, the smoke ample, and it lasted about 70 minutes. And it went well with a Bud Select. Frankly, I prefer the Primo del Christo to a couple of the more expensive brands with high ratings. I plan to keep some in stock and share them with my drinkin' buddies at the local watering hole. All in all, I'd say a good value for the price. Thanks!

Claro pretty good for the price

Got a bundle of Claro Coronas on auction. At $15 for 25 I couldn't be happier. I like a nice mild Cigar every now and then. I don't know about the other wrappers but in my opinion this is just as good of a claro as the A. Fuente, but much cheaper. And as far as for the consistency, I've had five so far and every one drew well and burned well, with a decent mild flavor. I'd probably be willing to buy another bundle at regular price when I run out.

The Great Pretender

This Cigar has nothing going for it except the price. In apperence it is veiny and blemished, it smokes in a uneven manner with a gray flaky ash, and with a hard draw it still has no taste.
If you want a cigar buy a cigar anyway you view it they are for people who like to pretend at enjoying a good cigar. Not worth the price and it was cheap!

Primo Del Cristo: cheap and mild, enjoyed it!

I got a sampler off of Cigarauctioneer.com. Nobody else bid on them, so the price was dirt cheap. I let them sit in the humidor for about two months (I smoke rather infrequently). I must say, it was a very mild yet flavorful cigar. Didn't expect much, so I was pleasantly surprised by this cigar. Good!

Oh Well

Not a good cigar, not a bad cigar. Lit well and burnt well. Just make sure you smoke it outside or don't leave the ashtray. After a 1/2 inch, you're ready to drop at anytime (slow learner, ran the vacuum 3 times!). For the money, I'll give it an overall 7. Put it against a Bayamo, I give it a 4.

Nice, very mild cigar

I guess that's how it is with very mild or very strong cigars: you love 'em or hate 'em. I happen to like this one as a change of pace. Given other comments I have heard I guess i'm a bit of an oddball for preferring milder cigars at night. I hate a strong aftertaste in the morning. This cigar will not give you one. It lights and draws well. I was able to get about 1 1/2 inches of ash. Even burn. Smooth, mild taste. I punched mine and when I had just under 2" left the flavor and all started to run more towards a medium smoke. Of course by then the draw was getting quite warm and the unsmoked part was getting mushy.
All in all a nice mild smoke, if you happen to like mild smokes. If not, don't bother with this one.

Not a premium

As I see from the reviews, some people like'em, some don't.I don't. I bought a maduro sampler and tried the corona. It produced an almost black ash and the taste reminded me of a steel-belted radial. I will try two or three more to see if there might be a good one in there.

Try again

I think these guys need to re-think what a really good cigar is all about. OK as a "cheapie" but shouldn't be passed off as a premium. Didn't make my lips pucker but the taste has a lot to be desired. Also, I thought I would need a vacuum pump to draw any smoke from this stick. I bought 6 to give them a try. Smoked 3 and promptly gave the others away.

Excellent Value

I had a far more positive experience than did the first gentleman to submit a rating. This cigar surprised me greatly. My experience with low-cost bundles has been that they are inconsistent at best, and I wasn't expecting much from a bundle that cost thirty bucks. However, every one of these cigars burned and drew very well. The taste seemed to waver at times, but all in all these are a good every day smoke at an exceptional price.
