Punch is always GOOD!

Never had a bad punch. The draw on this is a 10! Nice burn a 10! Good solid cigar. Dont let the size fool ya, it will last a while. Champion is worth a try. I didnt taste the full body as described?

Good with a friend

Good smoke for when a non smoker comes over, to get him into cigars. Mild to medium draw, little kick at the end.

"under the radar"

I can't believe no-one has commented on ths cigar, I will though, It's good! nice n spicy/ peppery with a solid medium body with a slightly sweet, wooded finish & burned very well, the black aluminum tube works well for traveling too.

Great daily cigar!

Thoroughly enjoyable. Good size, good draw, smokes with a tight ash, and doesn't get bitter, even smoked to the ring. A wonderful cigar and a wonderful price.

Great quality smoke and a great value!

Just bought another box. Very consistent, perfect burn with a tight fine white ash and great full flavor! I can't wait to try some of the others Punch line of smokes!

Perfect for walking the dog or just sharing

The taste of these maduros is great. At these prices you just need to share them around. Like other reviewers, I have found that the caps come off very easily, but it has not caused any unravelling problems. At 30 minutes or so, these are great for walking the dog, or a quick smoke in the colder months when relegated to the garden by the Mrs. Spread the word on these little gems!

More than a conversation starter

The figurado shape will have people asking what you are smoking. These are great tasting cigars, not too strong and full of flavour. Taste doesn't change that much once you pass the wide point, but is still good. These will last just under an hour if you take your time.

This review was written about Punch Champion by Cider glider of Wales on July 25, 2008

Great short smoke!

I was surprised about this little smoke. Great flavors, smooth, and perfect if you only have about 30-40 minutes for a smoke. Smoke two if you have more time.

A bit over-hyped

I bought a box of fifty, based on the reviews.... I would have rather smoked the money. Out of 50 cigars, 39 were unsmokable because they were rolled wayyyyy too tight.Even after a month in the box, absolute driftwood. I will never buy these again, and I would warn you to be wary. Too many other good deals out here to buy a name with little or no game. Don't say no one never told ya!

Always consistant, great flavor

I love maduro cigars and the Punch Elite Maduro is a great size and smoke at a price that makes it suitable for an everyday stick. One of the few "corona" sized smokes I have found that has consistant draw through the whole box.

This review was written about Punch Elites by Bill M of Eastern PA on June 10, 2008

Tasted Generic.

They way people talk about these I was expecting something much better. It just didn't impress me in any way. Wasn't terrible but it was tasty like a top tier brand.

A wonderful treat.

Punch cigars are a classic all by themselves.

Lots of Punch Flavor

I bought a box of these with the intention of making it my daily "Go to" cigar. They could use some age on them (what cigar couldn't??), but they aren't bad right out of the box. They have that distinct Punch flavor that I enjoy and the price is right. Whilst they do not match up to the Magnum in terms of taste, they are a great smoke when you don't have a long time to enjoy a good cigar.

This review was written about Punch Elites by Brian of Kentucky on April 22, 2008

Great with Morning Coffee

I have ordered several five packs of these. I find that they go great with a few cups of coffee in the morning. For a small cigar, they have a lot of flavor; I find the maduro to be a bit more flavorful than the natural, but either one suits me just fine. And because these are Punch, you can be assured the quality is top notch.

This review was written about Punch London Club by Brian of Kentucky on April 18, 2008

Great short smoke

I've been ordering these for several years now and have never been disappointed. Having experimented with some of the cheaper (Famous) and more expensives (Partagas, etc) brands in simliar sizes, these are the best bang for the buck if you want a good quality, consistant smoke at a reasonable price.

So Smooth

First let me get this taste is subjective thing out of the way. OK . Here goes , these Oscuro Pitas are so rich yet so smooth . You almost want to sat they are mild , because they never come close to over overpowering , but so full flavored it's unbelievable . On the CA scale a solid 89 only because of lack a of complexity at times . Enjoy these fine smokes anytime with anything !!!!

Delicious

This is the best tasting cigar for the price by far. Tastes similar to the Romeo Y Julietta Bully. For 2.00 a stick. You cant go wrong. Order a box now and thank me later. :)

Very Enjoyable Cigars

I have been ordering five packs of Punch and have been very impressed so far. I had a Pita in my humidor for only a few weeks. I lit it up after dinner tonight, and was once again happy I chose a Punch. Nice medium-full body with good flavors; sort of a sweet tobacco taste. I just noticed the price for a box and can't see a reason not to buy two.

Perfect.

This one was perfect. The flavor was excellent and the burn was straight as a razor. Outstanding cigar and great price too.

A good short smoke

This is a good short smoke cigar. I smoked one while taking the dog for a walk. Good ash, and was sweet in the begining.

Consistently fine smoke and an excellent value

The Punch Rothschild delivers the same fine experience time after time. A great 45 minute break from the rigors of daily life. I highly recommend this value.

A Gem! My daily smoke...

The best little oscuro you can get your hands on! Full flavor from end to end and one of the best values in cigars today.

Very Good Short Smoke

My favorite Punch is the Double Corona. I was looking for a shorter (45 min) smoke and was not dissappointed with the Champion. Only draw back is the burn which is usually quite uneven, even after 6 months in the humi! Excellent draw, unique shape, pleasant auroma. Very nice after supper with a glass of port. Will keep some on hand for an evening "quickie" amongst my Double's, RP's, and Don Pepin's.

Perfect Evening

There will always be room in my humidor for this cigar. Great taste, easy draw, nice smoke and fantastic ash. I try others but always come back to this one. Good with morning Coffee or a perfect evening with Brandy.

This review was written about Punch Rothschild by Alan of Acworth Ga. on November 25, 2007

Not bad

An OK cigar. Had one at a cigar shop that actually tasted alot better. Waited until about half way down for the 'real' taste to kick in. Would smoke one again if it was given to me, dont think I would buy another pack.

This review was written about Punch Rothschild 5 Pack by Mike of East Rochester on November 25, 2007

Garbage

This cigar tasted horrible. I am used to smoking medium to full flavored cigars, but this one tasted... It didn't even have a flavor, it just tasted bad. The construction is good and the burn is decent. I would not recommend this cigar to anyone unless your already a fan of the brand.

This review was written about Punch Rothschild 5 Pack by Justin of California on October 23, 2007

Punch

A very consistant short cigar that certianly has a "punch" (maybe even a slight kick) to it. Full flavored, but not at all too much in this shorter size. Although many suffer from burning issues, they're not nearly bad enough to keep me away from this cigar. A good "go to" for people that like stronger blends.

A lot of cigar for the money

I saw the rating of the Punch After Dinner Maduro in a recent issue of Cigar Aficianado and was surprised by how highly rated such an inexpensive cigar was. I ordered a 5 pack so I could try it without spending a bunch of money on a cigar I might not like. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of this cigar. This is definitely the best cigar for the money I have tried so far.

This review was written about Punch After Dinner by Paul of Oklahoma on August 23, 2007

didnt match my tatstes

I tried Punch before when just starting out and didnt care for the peppery taste that I experienced. Now more experienced thought I'd try the 5 pack roth natural. Still dont care for it as it still tatstes peppery with a slight hint of caramel. I work evenings so I dont have a meal right before a cigar, so I have one with usually a rum and coke or maybe brandy. Just doesnt go well with my taste and I go mild to full. I can see this being a cigar for an after dinner like a steak or seafood( something rich to complement the cigars peppery taste). I'm not knocking this cigar cause I can tell this is a good cigar but I dont match well with it. So far, no problems with burn although ash doesnt hang very long for me. I'll let them sit in humidor until nothing left to see if anything changes, you never know.

excellent

Great after dinner cigar. Excellent complex flavour. Excellent draw, burn, and contruction.A must have for your humidor. When the mood strikes for a rich, short smoke. go for it, Smoke it till the nub. You'll need a roach clip for this one!

A Classic!

Smoked a few of these recently, and enjoyed them tremendously. Nice aroma and flavor, though in my opinion, not as full-flavored as I see described by other reviewers' posts in here. Great construction with durable long white ash over half-way down (2+ inches) before finally falling off. Perfect draw. Delicious all the way down to the knuckle-burning stage - huffed 'em down like a bag of chips. For the price, an exceptional value. Will be buying a box of these little classics for sure.

The BEST cigar you can buy!!!

Absolutely a great cigar in all areas. Try to find one better and I doubt you can. Excellent taste, relatively low price, superior burn and truly unmatched cigar in all aspects!!!

This review was written about Punch After Dinner by Dave of Kentucky on February 18, 2007

my favorite... low price is a plus

These are my favorite cigars. I have insisted on trying more expensive cigars, but I always conclude halfway through them that I'd rather be smoking one of these. Although sometimes I get one of the Punch Royal Coronations...they are really nice too.

They weren't kidding

Bought a box based on the reviews, recommendation of a friend, & the price. WOW! This is really a great smoke. Consistent throughout with very good burn. Can't go wrong for the price.

Good Short Smoke

A very good 45-50 min smoke reasonably priced. A full bodied smoke with a taste and fullness closer to a Cuban than many cigars costing three or four times as much. I have had several burn unevenly, but I am willing to put up with it, plus the more care you take in lighting, the lower the chance of uneven burning getting a foothold. Pretty classic Punch product, I think, more cigar than you would think you would get for the money.

It's a Punch

I was a little skeptable to try this long skinny boy and the local shops did not have any singles to try so I bought a box with the manduro wrapper. No regrets...it's a Punch all the way great smoke with a great after taste that last.

This review was written about Punch Largo Elegante by James Martin of KS on November 16, 2006

Consistant quality cigar!

I picked up a 5 each of natural, maduro and I have really been nothing but pleased. The maduro rothschild leaves a full, but smooth, bodied smoke in the mouth. It makes my mouth water- that's what you want! These are great for those times when you want a big cigar taste, but don't have the time (or for those cold winter days when you are forced to smoke outside!).

This review was written about Punch Rothschild by Eric D. of Maryland on October 23, 2006

$ for $ these are a best buy on a small smoke

If a quality smoke at an inexpensive price carries any weight with you, try these. Might be short filler construction but consistancy is almost remarkable. A few weeks in the humidor makes them even better

This review was written about Punch Bolos 5/6 by Larry D. of U.P. on October 21, 2006

Punch- lives up to the name!

I feel like no matter how many cigars I go through, good and bad, I always come back to Punch and am never disapointed. Because there are so many cigars out on the market these days its easy for me to overlook the classic Punch natural robusto aka Magnum. A beautifully rolled cigar, nothing but consistant quality in its construction and its taste. I really need to buy a box of these to keep on hand. There aren't any "bells or whistles" just a consistant quality cigar.

Good daily smoke.

This cigar makes a great every day smoke.

This review was written about Punch Elites by everestso of So Cal on October 6, 2006

Good smoke

A good short smoke, but some are wrapped a bit tight, so you have to take your time. A bit of a contradiction in that respect. Don't rush this small cigar and you will enjoy them box after box.

This review was written about Punch London Club by Dave of Raleigh on September 23, 2006

Very nice smoke and a fine cigar

I like this cigar in the maduro wrapper and it is one that and is on my favorites list. This is a smooth cigar with a great taste and for the price it can't be beat. Next to the Punch Double Corona it is one my favorite cigars.

This review was written about Punch After Dinner by Arthur Salmons of Russellville, Arkansas on September 13, 2006

Excellent cigar with great flavor

This is one of the better cigars out there for the price. It's quickly become one of my favorites in the maduro wrapper. Draws and Smokes well and has great flavor. Highly Recommended

Relaxing with a good smoke

I've never enjoyed a cigar more at the end of my workday than the Punch Rothchild with maduro wrapper!

This review was written about Punch Rothschild by Jim of Connecticut on July 9, 2006

best short smoke you can buy

One of the best short smokes I've had, longer you smoke it the better it gets, but I have seen in a couple of boxes that the cap often comes off, the cigar still holds together so it doesnt really matter

This review was written about Punch London Club by dan of lawton oklahoma on June 26, 2006

Outstanding

I've tried a wide variety of cigars looking for that #1, and found it in the Punch Pita Oscuro! Everything about this cigar is top shelf. Especially considering the price, you can't go wrong. The oscuro is a nice change of pace from the usual wrappers too. Way to go FSS and Punch!

To the last puff...

Excellent shorter smoke. Great combination of mildness and flavor with no small degree of elegance. Wonderful draw. My third box--btw, Famous Smoke Shop has the BEST price, fuly 33% less than a major competitor. Interestingly, no harshness yea unto the last 1/2". Get some.

This review was written about Punch London Club by El Gato of Valrico, FL on May 4, 2006

The Champion

Just had my first punch champion yesterday, wow one heavy Honduran. The begining was a little rocky, it was a tad harsh and it had some burn problems, but I evened it out with the torch lighter. The taste got smoother, and stronger with every puff, and all of the ash stayed on all the way to the nub, which shows you how well they're made. Overall a good cigar at a good price, it did make me sitdown and I even ate a small meal before smoking this thing, so it's not an every day smoke for me, I prefer a smoother shorter maduro smoke for that, but if you feel the need for a strong honduran flavored smoke at a reasonable price look no further. Plus it has a nice figurado shape.

This review was written about Punch Champion by Steven of Purcellville Va. on May 4, 2006

Perfect Construction........Imperfect Burn......

I have smoked 4 of these cigars and have mixed feelings about them. The construction and appearance is nearly perfect. They are wrapped tight and look flawless, causing you to expect a even burn. But so far the ones I have smoked have all burned unevenly. They start burning perfect until the ash falls off for the first time, then it is all down hill from there. All 4 have canoed severely down to my fingers after that initial ash. The taste is great and consistent on all 4 so far. All in all I guess they are worth the reasonable price.

It doesn't get any better than this!

I have been smoking the Punch Rothschild EMS and Maduros for 15 years. I have tried hundreds of other smokes over that time period, but have yet to find a cigar more consistent in flavor, or more satisfying. If you like full-bodied cigars but have yet to try this one, do yourself a favor and buy a box. An absolute classic!!

DELICIOUS ....

This is a delicious cigar. Unfortunately, it has an impossible burn. A special experience with its size and shape, but would love even more to see the ashe all the way around the piece.

AN HONEST CIGAR

Punch is a confident, traditional, and honest smoke. I look at these cigars as a cigar's cigar. Truly a full, no nonsense smoke, that will reward you consistently time and time again. Everyone should have a Punch in their home.

My favorite

My new favorite cigar. I like the zing of the Punch naturals, and the smoothness of the oscuro (except consistenty is really bad), but after trying the single maduro, I have a new favorite. The best of both worlds - the Punch zing with the full-bodied flavor of maduro. Also, it burns great and even with a nice tight ash. I can't say enough good about this one.

Remarkable

I just enjoyed one of these beauties with a glass of a nice single malt scotch and was absolutely floored. This combination rendered perhaps one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. I will definitely buy Punch cigars again and am anxious to try their rare corojo.

This review was written about Punch Pita by Mike D of Allentown, PA on November 5, 2005

OUTSTANDING!

Being relativel new to cigar smoking, I still like to dabble and check out other brands. Knowing of my preference for the CAO Brazilia Ipanema, a friend recommended the Punch Double Maduro Rotschild. I haven't looked back. This little gem packs quite a punch and has taken over the #1 spot in my humidor!

This review was written about Punch Rothschild by Ed B of New Jersey on October 2, 2005

Look out boys, here comes a MANLY smoke!

For those of us in the Punch Double Maduro Rothchild club, there's nothing prettier than 50 of these fresh beauties smuggled up in the humidor. We know how luxurious a smoke the Rothchild is and keep coming back to it again and again for it's dark, oily wrapper, it's robust flavor and it's lengthy finish that so often burns the fingers. At around $2 a stick you just can't beat it. And at 30 minutes a smoke, it times out perfectly with a ribeye on the grille. Ain't life grand!

This review was written about Punch Rothschild by Tim J of Indian Wells, CA. on October 1, 2005

Even burning with beautiful white ash

Punch is now my favorite brand after having had several of these double coronas. Moderately strong, well constructed and even burning, these cigars will not disappoint any serious cigar smoker, including some who prefer more esoteric brands. Try the rare corojo version too!

Whoa! My kind of stogie!

Ah ha! Now that's a cigar. One of my favorites in all aspects - looks great, classic brand name, full flavor, and it gave off more smoke than a tire fire. Lit up very easily and burned evenly all the way down w/ no relights or touch-ups needed. Full bodied taste w/ none of the nasty leftovers in the mouth after expelling the draw which can be common w/ cigars like this. Burned for a long long time - 36 holes of Golden Tee 2005 and I still had enough of the Double Corona left to polish off another beer at the bar before it was gone. Be forewarned however - this one is enough to make a newbie puke. Probably not a good choice for those who's idea of "full bodied" is a Michelob Ultra and a Macanudo. Try this one with a Makers Mark, straight up, or a Guinness Extra Stout.
