Too good to be true

Always on the look out for an inexpensive answer to my expensive tastes, I'm rarely fortunate enough to find a cheap smoke that I enjoy. This Sancho Panza is the rare exception.
No, it's not going to compete with the Padron 1926, or the Rocky Patel Old World Reserve, but for a sub-$3 stick, all I can say is...Are you kidding me? This baby rocks....excellent construction, and perfect draw with a flavor profile similar to a Padron 3000??
Like I said, I've got spoiled taste buds lately, smoking some seriously good, and seriously pricey cigars, so it's not easy to impress me.
Hail Sancho Panza. A really enjoyable cigar at a really enjoyable price. Doesn't happen very often, so give Sancho a try.

Great Cigar

Great cigar, great construction, awesome taste. The burn is a little fast, but everything else is phenomenal, and at under 3 bucks a cigar, you cant beat it.

Excellent

These are really wonderful. If you like the double maduros, you'll love these. I bought two at a B&M and was so excited I couldn't wait to get more. Have won some more now at auction on here, and have yet to be let down. They draw great - tons of smoke - and I love the flavor. Just had to comment. I've had many smokes of all types and price ranges. This is definitely one I love, regardless of the price.

Odd draw and taste

oddly enough mine also were slightly blocked but this has only happened with this size also there was an unrecognisable taste that was a bit offputting - I will give the Valiente a miss next time? all other sizes have always been superb

Good Looking, Tastee Cigar

Lit one right out the 5-pack package, little hard to draw, didn't stay lit too well, but good taste. Like most cigars, they seem to need a week or two in the Humi to burn right. I don't know if it's just the type of cigars I buy or what, but they seem to taste the best right out of the box or package, not after weeks in the humidor. So Sancho gets a 9 from me.

great cigar but the laquered box stinks

At first the smell of the laquer/wood stain was overpowering and I expected the cigars to be ruined. They weren't however, but remained in a humidor for months just in case. These smoke as well as the Cubans did and never dissapoint.Price isnt a problem with me, but these are so cheap my Siamese cat could smoke them too.

Amazing flavor and aroma

WOW! This is the cigar I had been looking for. It's rich, full and mellow with incredible flavor and aroma. I've tried dozens in this price range but this tops even the more pricey cigars that are out there. I have no desire to try another cigar. This is now my staple. Thank you SP for making this exact cigar. Do not cahnge a thing!!!!!!

Tastes great and doesn't stink

This cigar tastes great though not that fabulous but it burns consistenly. What I like about it is that it doesn't stink like previous brands I've bought (Monte Cristo, Romeo y Julieta and Habanitos by Don Lino). The other brands left a stench on my clothes for a while. Matador doesn't.

A Welcome Surprise

I bought this stick as part of a sampler (because I like to try things) and found a real gem amongst them. I'm buying a box this time - I really enjoyed this smoke.
Creamy, smooth, light flavor of chocolate and honey, well constructed with an excellent draw and strong finish.

This one got me started smoking cigars.

Smooth and delicious, these got me hooked on good cigars. I always keep a box on hand for friends and when I want a lighter smoke. They are a simple smoke without the spice of stronger cigars, but are so delicious that I smoke them down to the nub. BUT...the box they come in stinks of polyurethane and I recommend taking the cigars out ASAP. The cigars are wrapped in cello and this saves them from contamination. Plus, the cigars improve greatly after a few months in the humidor.

Good cigar, worth the occasional smoke

I recently got a box of these and they are good. Nothing great but I'd still give them a 7 to 8 overall. Mild with a little spice. They do smell better than they taste, but if you want something in this price range for an everyday type of smoke, I think they are worth it.

My hands down favorite!

I've tried MANY cigars over the years, but when I found this one I knew I'd found my go to daily! It has Never disappointed me. Everything about it is outstanding to my taste, smell and palate. The ONLY problem I've had is that on a couple the draw was a little to firm for me ( probably cut to close to tip! ) I solve that problem with a carefully placed, small poker ( cocktail toothpick should do ) and all is well! It is my humble opinion that You cannot go wrong with this cigar!

Sancho Panza dbl. Maduro Quixotes are one of my favorites. This cigar just doesn't do it for me. I've tried several and I just can't seem to find much in the taste department. I would highly recommend the Quixotes though...those are top notch.

Improves with time in the humidor...

I bought these cigars because of the cost and the ratings. I don't have one complaint, though. They smoke wonderful right out of the box, but they round out nicely in the humidor. They taste great, though, not as strong as I would like. They work great as hand-out cigars that don't hurt the pocket. I would highly recommend these babies.

Good quick smoke at not a bad price

These have a machine-made look to them. They are a palatable quick smoke when one wants that mild nicotine hit that cigars provide but haven't the time for a proper one. To me they don't taste that much like the bigger Sancho Panzas... a bit harsher perhaps, not as pleasant. Burn can be uneven if you try to smoke them in a rush, and not surprisingly they overheat and taste worse then.

Fantastic well-balanced smoke!!!

I have been smoking premium cigars for 2 1/2 years now and this is one of my absolute favorites. I just finished a box and every cigar burned consistently with a spicy, nutty finish. I like a good medium bodied cigar that's not overpowering but not too mild-- and this is a great selection for that preference.

Ho Hum

I got this cigar as part of the 9 super premium bundle that Famous-Smoke sells. It's been in the humidor for about 6 weeks and caught my eye today.
I found it to be fine from a burn, draw and consistency standpoint but the tast was just ho-hum for me. It was pretty one-dimensional. I can think of several cigars in the same price point that I would rather spend my money on.

Don't waste your time

I received the Valiente Natural 5 1/4 X 50 in a sampler and found that the draw was fine, burn was uneven, smoke was copious on the third puff, and it had a nice aroma. If I were next to someone smoking this cigar I would appreciate it, but I wouldn't want to be that guy. The reason? The smoke was hot and had an unpleasant acrid tang from the very beginning--the taste that you get at the last 1 1/2 inch of a cigar. It's been in the humidor for 2 1/2 months so you can't blame UPS. It's just a cheap cigar, no matter what factory it was rolled in.

A very fine smoke!

A very smooth smoke, nice burn, two puff draw. A really rich, earthy flavor, couldn't believe it was only $3 in a sampler! Burned for so long I got tired of smoking it, but it was tasty all the way through and hard to put down.

Draw.... What draw

OK I see all these reviews on the great taste of these sticks. I would like to know how these reviewers even got to taste these creatures. The draw was nothing short of impossible. I had to work so hard to get a drag of this stick that I had to take a nap half way thru. Disappointed!

The Valiente is a thickly packed, solid cigar. But the flavor did not live up to the wonderful recommendations. It was strong but harsh, woody, not cedary, actually bitter. The burn was also uneven. I may try a few more, but I was really disappointed. (Try a Padron 3000 instead.)

Not for me

If I could address just construction, draw and burn this would be a very good cigar. The taste, though, was simply "not me". That surprised me a lot because another cigar in this SP line-up, the "Glorioso" is absolutely delicious. As it is, the "Primoroso" and I are done and, in this case, Breaking Up is NOT "hard to do".

VERY good everyday cigar

The SP Caballero must certainly be one of the very best in its' price range. To be fair, I rarely find a non-Maduro cigar I am willing to buy/smoke more than one of - but the Caballero is definitely a keeper. Only criticism I can make after a box of them is that I came across two that drew less-than-nicely and one of those also became sour at about the half-way mark - and that is unusual (in my experience) for Sancho Panzas of any stripe.
The Caballeros taste GOOD but, again, I say that in spite of my definite personal preference for SP's Double Maduros. The Caballero is EASILY worth the sticker price, which is surprisingly modest in itself.

Aptly named

The Sancho Panza "Glorioso" is exactly that - Glorious, in any language.
Being a 110% Maduro aficionado, it isn't quite the taste I prefer but it is still a taste I like a LOT! To state it conservatively, I was astounded at how great this cigar smokes and how great it tastes. It IS, in a word, "Glorioso"!

Not for me

Got this in a pack of samplers and was very disappointed. First, I'm not a fan of box-pressed cigars--just don't like the feel of them. The first half of the cigar was too harsh and bitter for my taste. As it burned on, it got smoother, but it was difficult to keep it lit (and no, its not my humidor).
