It's a great cigar

It's a great cigar. I like sitting in my converted garage, which is my smoking place. There are times that I will smoke two or three of these cigars while relaxing im my smoking den.

The other reviews of the Corona are accurate

This cigar is just what you expect if you read the other reviews of the Corona. Most of the reviews here on Famous are right on, written by normal Joes looking for a good smoke at a good price. The Corona is no exception. The cigar is a nice short smoke at a very easy price point. The flavor is pretty weak, but in no way objectionable. Buy a bundle and always keep one in your travel case. Then when you have 15-20 minutes to kill, waiting for the wife at the mall for instance, you can spark one up, relax and enjoy the moment. These are so cheap, you don't feel bad if you have to cut it short and toss it.

The Rev. Likes It!

I received one of these in a free sampler (Famous Assorted Bundle #3) and found this cigar to be a good, quality smoke. The draw was easy, the burn was even, the aroma was pleasant and the flavor was gentle on the palate. Although it did come unraveled toward the end, this was a minor infraction compared to the cigars overall consistency and smokeability. I smoked it until my fingers burned! In effect, I liked this cigar a lot. It would age beautifully in the humidor.

Good!

This is a good cigar. The construction and draw rank up there with more expensive brands. Pleasant aroma and taste. The first inch or so is at times a little sour and charry, but it smooths out to a very mild creamy smoke. Can be smoked anytime, but is especially good in the morning, making it a great cigar for taking along when fishing or camping.

soledad lonsdale review

I do not consider myself an expert on cigars, but I do know what I like. These Soledads are one of the worst tasting smokes I have had. I realise they are not top drawer cigars, but all things considered these are nasty. I have smoked about 5 or six and they are just as bitter as the first. I can detect no appreciable hint of flavor, the only thing I can say good about them is they burn evenly. Buying a drug store cheapy will give you the same smoking experience, possibly better. Your service at famous is great, I wish I could say the same for Soledad Lonsdales. Truly a waste of money. sorry guys. they are NASTY!

off beat taste

The burn and draw are fine but the taste was disappointing -- like a twice-lit cigar.

Good Mild Smoke

Soledad Lonsdale is a good mild smoke and a bargain at $35.00 a box.
For the best Draw, you need to poke these and leave uncut at the end. I smoked 3 Cigars so far and have enjoyed all of them. I will continue the solitude and add these to my Hummi! I also love getting my cigars in 3 days instead of weeks with some other smoke shops. Keep up the good work!

Great Smoke for the Price!

I was pleasantly surprised by this stick! I just went through a bundle and all of the smokes had a great, smooth and creamy draw. Plenty of smoke hovered in my patio when smoking them with a cup of coffee in the morning. This will become my "go to" cigar.

need a cast for my neck

firstly 3 out of 4 drew so hard that I had to throw them out after trying to unplug them. The fourth one finally gave me a flavor that I could identify. If they start to burn properly, they may not be too bad.

Better than a soft shoulder to lean on?

I gave up smoking 7 years ago. A herniated disc sent me out on the deck to lay back and heal. A cigar smoking friend suggested puffing on a smooth cigar to help relieve the monotony & calm my troubled soul. I stumbled on this cigar perusing F.S. web page. - The Londale is now as much a part of my day as my morning coffee; smooth tasting, great burn, nice aroma. This cigar has caused me to revert back to my tobacco loving self. Might even be better than a soft shoulder to lean on. For a short smoke I also enjoy the corona. Please keep stocking them...

Smooth smoke

I'm new to cigars so don't know all the terminology yet. So I will just say the Soledad's were fresh, smoked smooth, and were not harsh. I'm enjoying them in the evening while sipping a glass of Oban single malt. A great pairing.

Great Everyday Cigar!!!!!

I don't understand why anyone would pan this cigar. I think it rates up there with cigars that cost 3 and 4 times as much. This is my "go to" smoke. I love it. Only wish the wrapper was easier to take off.

Welcome solitude

These aren't an extraordinary brand, but certainly dependable. One of the ones I can count on. If you like a mild smoke that's not overwelming, give these a try.

As Johnnie Mathis sang; "Wonderful, Wonderful".

Love this cigar! For the price, I don't think I've smoked a better cigar. I don't understand the people who say it doesn't have any flavor. Sure it's mild, but it's also a great, flavorful smoke. Burn one soon.

Great smoke, Great price.

I find this to be an excellent choice for relaxing after a hard day at work. I often share my cigars with friends, and most comment about these over brands that cost me four times the price. I try to keep a stash around at all times.

MY EVERY DAY CIGAR

I have tried several of the so-called every day cigars and have been very disappointed; but once I tried Soledad, I keep coming back for more. Great mild taste, with an easy even draw, I know that Soledad will be my everyday cigar for a long, long time!

Great every day cigar!

Excellent, burn, construction, consistency and draw. Good flavor at a good price. Comparable to a Helix, although I think this cheaper cigar has better flavor and burn. My new favorite every-dayer.

Nice 2nd Choice

I'd smoke these again. My biggest problem is they are not quite good enough to be a 1st choice for me, so I'd be inclined to buy them in 5 packs, but they don't offer 5 packs.

She Smokes Dunhills

Perhaps this one is like a cig; but, that cig would be a Dunhill. Perhaps a bit mild; but, not too bad. These Soledad Toros have a nice wrapper, reminicent of one of those sexy girls you see on magazine covers. She has perfect skin. This one has a good volume of smoke as well. It gets stronger when you get to the end.

BEST everyday cigar

I smoke about 6 cigars a day. After trying many "name brands" I have now smoked over 300 of these
Soledads. The draw is generally excellent ( I have tossed about 8 cigars for bad draw ) They are easy to light and stay lit. Flaverful and mild, Just what I need in an everyday cigar.I smoke the Lonsdale size.

Not My Recommendation

For a deal of an auction price without a fight, along with comments, I decided to gamble and try SOLEDAD. In regards to the overall three categories, Appearance, Construction and Taste, 2 out of 3 is not bad UNLESS, the odd man out is the most valuable one. The appearance is good and consistent, with a "fair" looking band, nothing that impressive in design. Overall appearance I would put at "8.0" Construction - Excellent construction in regards to consistencies, BUT, too much air coming through with each draw. Each cigar reflected the one before but the problem with too much air was consistent as well. No variance whatsoever. The burn was perfect and the ash was solid and remained until I decided to bump 'em off. A+ for consistency but minus on the draw - "7.5". The taste - where is it? If I smoked one with a beer, I could swear that I was smoking a cigarette without a filter. "4.0" on the taste. Overall score = "6.5".

Fabulous cigar at any price

This is one great cigar at any price. Smooth draw, clean even burn, good flavor. Very mild and yet tasty. If my next bundle is as good as this first one is, this will be my everyday cigar.

Excellent cigar for the money!!

Ordered 10 Coronas without much expectations, boy, was I pleasantly surprised, to say the least. I smoked this corona while playing golf, then a much more expensive Perdomo an hour later. The Soledad was a better smoke, with a pleasantly medium flavour, will definitely order a box of these.

Smooth, tasty and I'll be back for more!!!

These are an excellent smoke! They taste great, draw perfectly, are consistent and cost about $2.00 a stick. I shared them with my friends, who are cigar nuts, and they liked them as much as I did. Grab a bundle and enjoy.

WOW!

Outstanding cigar! reguardless of the cheap price, this cigar would be a steal if it's price were tripled (I hope they don't get any ideas). If you've never had one buy a box, they're not too short and not too long...anyway you look at it!
