I've smoked about half a dozen of the Italia.... moreI've smoked about half a dozen of the Italia. They remind me a lot of the CAO Brazilia, only spicier. My wife doesn't like the smell; she calls it an "outdoors cigar." I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who enjoys Brazilia.

Another great smoke from CAO. Very full flav... moreAnother great smoke from CAO. Very full flavored with hints of spice. Good with a nice strong cup of coffee. The cigar does leave a strong aftertaste that will be with you for a while, and it's strong enough that you probably don't want to smoke it on an empty stomach. Overall, a great buy for CAO and full flavor cigar lovers.

My wife picked this out for me and I burned i... moreMy wife picked this out for me and I burned it on a recent cruise. It started out a little harsh on the initial light, but then settled down to a smoooooth, full-bodied smoke.
My only complaint - I wish it was 7 inches instead of 5. :-)

Problems
I really really wantd to like this smoke it's... moreI really really wantd to like this smoke it's a good looking stick I like the italian flag colors but of three that I had smoked they burned really uneven. I got them from different locations and they burned the same. Like I said I really want to like this smoke I will try another before I give up on them.

Bad Stick?
Can't say if I got a bad stick or not but thi... moreCan't say if I got a bad stick or not but this smoked very unevenly and stayed fairly bitter to about the halfway point at which point it started to mellow out a bit but still retained what I felt was an overly spicy flavor. Will give it another try but at this point would not recommend it to a friend. I must add though that this is the first CAO I have ever had an unpleasant experience with.

Hate to say...not on my Top 5 List of CAO Cigars
Expection, high...Results, low. A little hars... moreExpection, high...Results, low. A little harsher taste than I expected. I love the Brazilia, which is a fuller flavored cigar. So I was surprised the Italia actually was not as smooth. As with the Brazilia, it is also a long smoke, which is nice unless you are short on time.

I agree with another comment - Italians shoul... moreI agree with another comment - Italians should stick to wine making. CAO makes many excellent cigars and would have my vote as the best overall maker - this is the only one I would not recommend to friends. If you are looking for spice, shop for a good Thai restaurant.
