I hate to be the bubble buster here but I recently bought a box of delicas maduro, solely on Padron's reputation. I had tried corticos and enjoyed them greatly. The first few sticks were great. Burn, taste, draw, all up to my expectations. Then I got one that absolutely blew me away. After about half way down the stick, the taste was awful! Then it looked like pur tar was oozing out of the foot. Needless to say I trashed the cigar, assuming that something very rare (and bad) had happened. I put the remainder of the box in my humidor for a few weeks. About 3 sticks later it happened again. And again. At least 3 of the 20 had this problem. I'm leaving the rest in my humidor for at least 3 more months in hopes that this will fix the problem. I've emailed 3 different 'advice' gurus about the problem and they are all completely surprised and have no suggestions that I haven't tried except to let them soak. less
