"i hope it gets better, otherwise not worth it"
Cuba Aliados Double Corona
eagerly anticipated the arrival after smoking the torpedo with the colorado wrapper many times. I tried two so far and the burn was terrible, one side was a good 2 inches shorter. I will leave them to rest for a bit to see if there is improvement.

"Great Recommendation Ray"
Cuba Aliados Double Corona
Downtown there is a guy named Ray who owns the local men's store and he sells only the finest in designer clothing and fine quality cigars. He pointed this cigar out to me and told me a little about Rolando Reyes who rolls these babies. He gave me one on the house and told me to give it a try and tell him what I thought. It sat in my humidor for about a month and then I took the dog for a walk and lit it up. The usual 15 minute dog walk lasted an hour and a half. I have since begun working for Ray and I now sell the crap out of these cigars. He can't keep em in stock. They must make them with crack in em because people come each week and instead of buying them by the stick, they just buy them by the box. Perfect 10 Mr. Reyes!

"A Pleasant Surprise"
Cuba Aliados Robusto De Lux
I must say that the Cuba Aliados was a pleasant surprise! One was given to me for free when i bought $100 worth of cigars at my local cigar shop. Being relatively new to smoking premium cigars (I also got my first humidor that day) I had not heard of this brand, and assumed he gave it to me for free because it was a discount cigar, so i put it in the bottom of my humidor and forgot about. That was 8 months ago. Last night i got down to my last cigar in my little travel humidor and it happened to be this one, it was FREEZING outside last night but i really wanted to smoke this last one before oredering a box to fill my desktop humidor. So I stepped outside, not expecting much from this cigar, and despite the weather stood out outside for over an hour cause once i started i had to finish it was so surprisingly good! Great construction, even burn, and it ashed itself twice after nearly two inches of beautiful white ash! Definately lived up to medium-to-full bodied with a largely nutty/woody/earthy taste with notes of roasted coffee beans. I will definately be keeping a couple of these in my humidor from now on!

"Nice smoke"
Cuba Aliados Piramide #2
I picked one of these up today and smoked it in the truck on the way home. I normally wouldn't have ever picked this one up but they were having a special on them so I tried one. Very good! The burn wasn't too bad (it did get off a couple of times but not enough to be a problem). The taste was fantastic and the aroma was very nice as well. I will try a few more singles here in the near future and as of right now a box wouldn't be out of the question. These are nice.

"surprise"
Cuba Aliados Corona De Lux
Received one of these at last year's Big Smoke. I set it aside in my humidor and never gave it much thought. One day I decided to try something new and pulled it out. What a shocker! A really good cigar with a nice even burn. The flavor is excellent and the construction and draw were also very good. If you have not tried this cigar, then you should. I will surprise many people I think.

"Worth the time"
Previous
I bought a box of these for old time sake,I used to smoke them regularly in the early 90's when they were flat out the best "Cuban style" puff on the market,a few glowing reveiws later and a star was born, and so demand soared and over time quality became very poor and some harsh puffs were
invading the boxes of this once top dog cigar.I stopped smoking them. Ten years later(Now)I buy a box open it unwrap each cigar and lay them on the bottom of my humidor and ignore them for 4 mos,
I then smoke 4 of them in two days and I will say they are as good as the old and rival Patel's,padron, and even the montecristo#3 Cuban!
Full-bodied Beautiful aromatic clouds of smoke!
50mins of a smoke Hemmingway would have loved!
Moustache melter all the way!
