"Tight draw, smooth taste"
Despite the hard, tight draw, these lonsdales are reasonably good for the money. Very smooth for a maduro wrapper with no bitterness. Disappointing finish and virtually no aftertaste. Cigar does not smell earthy when sniffed, which is too bad. Not a bad cigar, but not my favorite flavor.

"Very, very good cigar"
I've been fortunate enough to sample many boxes of various brands, styles & quality. The 1884 Maduro is what I come back to, and use as the "baseline" for comparing others to. So far, I've found very few cigars (3) that I'd pass up the 1884 Maduro for. In reviewing my order history with Famous, I've purchased almost 100 boxes of these in a little over 3 years. No other brand on my "favorites" list comes close to this number of boxes.
