Cuesta Rey 898
Cuesta Rey 898 Maduro cigars present a medium-bodied smoke made with premium Dominican-grown tobaccos and a toothy, Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper for a little extra sweetness and richer flavor. These Churchill-size cigars are priced affordably and excellent any time of day.
These had much better wrappers and flavor when they had the old 898 band. Now they are meh. Ugly wrapper, below average taste. JC Newman would be disappointed in what they did to his cigar.
The size and natural color of the 898's attracted me right off the bat. I've smoked two thus far, and enjoyed each one. I find these very soothing and mellow in character, with nutty notes. Just the right size and feel in the hand, with large clouds of smoke. The burn is uniform, and I was able to enjoy these down to the nub. I'm looking forward to my next one already!
Im in Vegas just sitting back watching my friends playing Black Jack, Im just enjoying my cigar. From accross the room some lady yells out "O'crap, whats that stink!?" I just lifted it up to my mouth, took a nice long draw blew out the smoke and smiled at her. Everyone else mentioned how good it smelled, just FYI...Seriously though this a great cigar. Very smooth and consistant.
