"Not what they used to be..."
I used to buy Dominiques quite often when the Fuentes were making them for FSS... and always really enjoyed them. However, now that General Cigar is making them they're not what they used to be! Overall construction is less than it used to be and the flavor is no match for the old Fuente version.
Don't get me wrong, they're not *bad* per se, just average and, well... plain. I used to consider the Fuente-made versions premium cigars that came in bundles... these General-made ones are defintely true bundle cigars... only problem is, they don't really have a bundle price tag (i.e. they're too expensive for what you get!)
Won't be buying them again unless they price drops to a level proportionate to their quality. Too bad too... feel like I lost a mainstay! Oh well....

"OK, if you like mediocrity."
I'm sorry but I don't see what's special. This cigar is well constructed and smokes well, but I found it somewhat harsh with a papery finish. on a scale of one to ten, I would give this a 5. I bought the sampler and have yet to find one I would buy again.

Mild creamy taste with smooth finish. Great size and the Fuente heritage comes through in the flavor and composition of this fine cigar. One of my favorites,notwithstanding its a "bundle" cigar.
Don't let that stop you from trying them, especially at their attractive price which becomes a "steal" when they go on sale.

"Very smooth taste - An excellent cigar !"
