A dark, oily, 1999-vintage, Nicaraguan Habano wrapper leaf adds extra depth for a full-flavored, complex smoke that lingers on the palate.

Had not seen these on Long Island, but picked... moreHad not seen these on Long Island, but picked one up in Phoenix in Feb. I couldn't resist the gloss and oils, and the miniscule AZ tobacco tax makes everything seem more attractive!
Smoked this a few weeks ago on my neighbor's deck, and was very pleased with the smoothness, heavy clouds of smoke, and the pleasant, medium body. For a maduro, the burn was consistent and by carefully removing the large band, you can puff away for an extra inch plus. Hard to put this one down, and would be happy to test drive a few more.

Heard a man saying how he enjoyed the Africa ... moreHeard a man saying how he enjoyed the Africa line in a smoke shop in Midland TX, so I bid on some from Famous. Smoked one right away and found it ordinary at best. Waited 3 weeks in the humidor and tried my 2nd one. Great looking cigar and beautiful band. Started great and flavorful, but it didn't last; fought to keep it lit, burned uneven, touched it up twice. Keep going out, unusual for me, and the flavor seemed to leave as the agravation of smoking the thing increased. I'll finish the last three and be glad I didn't buy a box!

Wow, this cigar is complete garbage. It taste... moreWow, this cigar is complete garbage. It tastes like tar. The flavor is so strong it's not even good. I love strong cigars, but this one was so unnecessary. I was looking for a very strong cigar; this one was just completely horrible. No taste at all. If you like the taste of TAR or PETROL OIL then buy this. It's got bad construction, the wrapper unravels easily, and the draw is really tight. Some cigars are just bad, it doesn't always depend on the smokers' taste.
